Wig Wam – WIG WAMANIA
As you can probably tell by the cover off this CD. Wig Wam is an 80′s parody band much like the Darkness and the Poodles.
The major difference here, they sound almost as good as their Big Hair peers.
There are lots of songs to like on this CD. Rock My Ride is a fun rocker. Gonna Get You Someday and Slave to Your Love could have been on a Bon Jovi CD. Dare Devil Heat and Kill My Rock N Roll reminds me a little of the Scorpions musically (but not lyrically) and are very upbeat. A R ‘N’ R Girl Like You starts off with this My Sharona guitar lick, but turns out to be a superior song. The closer Breaking All the Rules reminds of a mix between Bon Jovi and Savatage, if there could be such a thing.
I don’t know what it is about this CD that I like so much. The musical style comes across as sounding very familiar, but when I try to figure out which band they sound like exactly, I can’t put my finger on it . If you can get past the cheese factor here, you might like this disc.
