Twisted Sister – A Twisted Christmas (Release Year – 2006)

  • · CD Reviews Q-Z

twistedsisteratwistedchristmasFinally! Another hard rock band gets into the Christmas spirit and releases a X-Mas CD in the big hair 80’s vein. Twisted Sister moves into an almost uncharted territory with this release. Sure Trans Siberian Orchestra (Savatage) did it first, but Twisted Sister was brave enough to do it in their name. Kudos to them for a releasing a CD that is fun to listen to. This is an X-mas CD for the headbangers out there! We finally have something that we can enjoy during the holidays, without falling asleep.

A Twisted X-Mas can be a little silly at times. Could you really expect to take this seriously? Nonetheless, Dee Snider and company sound as good as they did 20 years ago.

Personally, I find this CD a fun listen. If you are a fan of Twisted Sister, or 80’s hard rock in general, you have to pick this up.

“Heavy Metal Christmas” is hilarious. I wasn’t crazy about all the songs, but when they mixed it up and really injected some hard rock riffs into the tunes it was great. “Silver Bells” is a great example of that.

YES, I AGREE. A real must have for any TS or HARD ROCK fan. I love that the band play all those famous christmas songs with balls. It doenst sound weak or soft but just pure hard rock/metal. On WHITE CHRISTMAS DORO PESCH sings in german and my cd got one more exta song, WHITE CHRISTMAS in spanish lirics (OJEDA sings).
