A nice little news brief that fits right in with DIO week is the release of pictures of the stage for the upcoming Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath) tour.
The lighting designer for the HEAVEN AND HELL tour, Paul Dexter, has posted several computer-generated, photo-realistic images of the band’s stage set for the current North American trek, which is scheduled to kick off this Sunday, March 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Check them out at this location (click on “Next” for more images).
HEAVEN AND HELL‘s North American tour will launch with 11 Canadian dates, wrapping up March 28 in Ottawa, featuring opening acts MEGADETH and DOWN. A U.S. tour with support from MEGADETH and MACHINE HEAD will launch April 22 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The shows are expected to only feature material from Dio‘s era with BLACK SABBATH, including three new songs that were recorded for the upcoming anthology “Black Sabbath: The Dio Years” that’s due April 3.
As previously reported, HEAVEN AND HELL will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show “Rockline” airing Wednesday, April 11. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). Motley Crue reigns supreme for a second week in a row. Black Stone Cherry, Riot and Def Leppard return to the top 10. Snakeryder, Company of Wolves and Lord Tracy make their top 10 debut for the week. Enuff Z’nuff hangs on by a thread.
Will the Crue reign supreme for a third week or will they get knocked off the top spot by one of the top 10 contenders or a new comer to the top 10………..
