Dead Silence – Movie Review
The small town of Raven’s Fair had a local legend about a person name Mary Shaw. Parents of the town used to tell their children a poem “Beware the stare of Mary Shaw, she had no children, only dolls, and if you see her, do not scream, or she will rip your tongue out by the seams.”
It seems that some legends are true…….
Dead Silence is a creepy ghost story about Mary Shaw, and her “children”. The cast in this flick is pretty much a no name bunch with the exception of Donnie Wahlberg. The special effects are pretty good, and there are some moments that may make the unexpecting movie watcher jump (my wife did…lol), there is also some added gore for good measure (what did you expect from the people who made SawIII). The pacing of the movie can be a little slow at times, but as a whole, I thought the story was good, and certainly a new idea.
It isn’t the best horror flick I have ever seen, but it certainly isn’t the worst either. Definitely a movie for the horror fans to check out, either at the big screen or as a rental in a few months.
