2007 Hard Rock Releases

Hard Rock Hideout2007 is shaping up to be a quality release year on the Hard Rock Front.

January brought us 2 quality discs by JORN – The Gathering and Unlocking the Past, and Mask of Sanity from Sinner.

February was a brutally slow release month. The only thing I have picked up from February so far is Cornerstone – Two Tales Of One Tomorrow. I plan to check out the new discs from Rhino Bucket – Pain and Suffering and No Song Left Behind.

March on the other hand is bringing new discs from Masterplan – MKII, Pink Cream 69 – In10sity – I am anxiously awaiting both of those discs.
Shaw/Blades – Influence is also one I plan to check out, as well as the new Dokken – From Conception: Live 1981 ( with new unreleased studio tracks from George Lynch era Dokken and the Winger – Demo Anthology.

April is going to be a big release month. A new disc by Saxon called Inner Sanctum is on the way, as well as the debut by former Pantera Vinnie Paul’s new band Hell Yeah, a new disc by Gotthard called Domino Effect, and the new Night Ranger disc Hole in the Sun. W.A.S.P will release their latest effort, Dominator. The Black Sabbath – The Dio Years will also be released in April. This collection has 3 new tracks with Dio on vocals. You can hear one of these tracks now, by making a trip to the Hard Rock Hideout Forum. Black ‘N Blue will release their Rarities disc on April 24th.

May is going to bring a bunch of new tunes! Yea!!
Tesla’s cover disc Real to Reel, Megadeth’s highly anticipated United Abominations, Ozzy’s yet untitled disc and the new Rush disc, Snakes and Arrows. Scorpions is also releasing their new disc Humanity, Hour 1. A new Michael Bormann, ex-Jaded Heart led metal band named Bloodbound, will release Book of the Dead at the end of May. One release I am quite anxious for that the release date was recently annouced for is the new Russel Allen/ Jorn Lande disc called the Revenge! This is now coming in May!

June should bring a new disc by Velvet Revolver – Libertad. I have been hearing some great stuff about this one. It may turn out ot be one of the biggest discs of 2007, but time will tell. Dokken is also planning on releasing their new studio disc, Lightning Strikes Again. TNT will be releasing The New Territory with their new singer, former Shy vocalist, Tony Mills.

In the second half of 2007, we should see a new covers disc by Poison, a brand new disc from Lillian Axe and quite possibly some disc called Chinese Democracy (holding breath now) from Guns ‘N Roses. A new disc from the band that opened up for the Poison/Cinderella tour last year, Endeverafter, should be hitting around summer time. Lizzy Borden is promising a new disc by summer time

Sebastian Bach has a new solo effort called Angel Down that is supposed to be coming out in 2007. Baz has been silent as far as talking about the release date, but I am guessing that it wont be too much longer down the road.

Whitesnake’s new effort, tenatively titled Good to be Bad should hit around October.

Def Leppard is promising that their new disc, tentative titled Sparkle Lounge (does this title scare anyone else?) will hit before the end of the year.

Great White is expected to release their new studio album later this year.

Judas Priest will return with their monster release Nostrodamus!

I am sure their will be more to come, but these are the top discs on the way so far. Hard Rock is far from dead in 2007!

  1. Yes, but unfortunately, the new Bon Jovi disc will not be a hard rock release, it will be Country.
