Trixie – Shelter (Release Year – 2006)

Trixie - Shelter Shelter is the third offering by the band Trixie. This band features the lead vocals, lead guitar, production and song writing skills of Ronnie Borchert. Judging from the sound of this disc, Ronnie Borchert had got some mad talent. This is a disc that fuses the sound of Def Leppard and Motley Crue, and has a production value that could easily meet the last few efforts by Def Leppard.

If you took the time out to check out Miss Crazy’s debut release you will already have a taste of Ronnie’s song writing and production skills. Both discs are a kick ass throw back to that 80’s hard rock sound, and well worth checking out!

Highlights on this disc include the opening track, Hell Yeah, Day and Night, Inside of Me, You That I’m Wanting, Lookin’ For Love and the cover of the Def Leppard tune, Wasted.

This is one of the better 80’s hard rock sounding discs that I have heard as of late. If you enjoy bands like Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Cinderella and Faster Pussycat, you ought to give Trixie’s Shelter a listen.

Trixie’s Shelter is a great CD worth discovering.

I’m currently listening to Change, the Ronnie Borchert solo disc…soon to be reviewed for Metal Express.
Ronnie has a ton of talent…so far, I think his solo work also has a great, 80s glam sound.

I like this album a lot, it’s my favorite of their three. To me it has less Crue and more Def Leppard than the other two albums. i also hear a hint of Faster Pussycat in places.
