HEAVEN AND HELL – Live From Radio City Music Hall DVD/CD Due In August

According to the flyer that came with the limited-edition version of BLACK SABBATH’s Live At Hammersmith Odeon album (which is currently being shipped by Rhino – release date is May 1), the label has set an August 28th release date for the Heaven And Hell Live From Radio City Music Hall DVD and double-CD.

The band – BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, singer Ronnie James Dio, and drummer Vinny Appice – performed live on March 30, 2007 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The setlist was as follows: ‘E5150 Intro’, After All (The Dead)’, ‘The Mob Rules’, ‘Children of the Sea’, ‘Lady Evil’, ‘I’, ‘The Sign Of The Southern Cross’, ‘Voodoo’, ‘The Devil Cried’, Appice Solo, ‘Computer God’, ‘Falling Off the Edge Of The World’, ‘Shadow Of The Wind ‘Iommi Solo – ‘Die Young’, ‘Heaven And Hell’.
Encore: ‘Lonely Is The Word’, ‘Neon Knights’.

The Exchange, an independent music retailer with 20 stores in Cleveland and Pittsburgh, will participate in a special promotion with Anthem/Atlantic recording artists RUSH. RUSH’s new “Snakes & Arrows” CD will be specially sale-priced for only $6.99 ($18.98 list price) at all Exchange locations from Tuesday, May 1 through Sunday, May 6. A very limited-edition RUSH poster will be given out with purchase. There is a limit of two CDs and one poster per customer (while supplies last). The event is being sponsored by WTAM in Cleveland, Cleveland Free Times magazine and the Pittsburgh City Paper.

RUSH’s new studio album, “Snakes & Arrows”, is due out on May 1. It’s the Canadian band’s first new collection of original material in nearly five years. RUSHGeddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart — will trumpet the release of “Snakes & Arrows” with a full-scale 48-city North American amphitheater tour, the renowned trio’s first since 2004’s “An Evening With Rush: 30th Anniversary Tour”. The tour begins mid-June and is slated to traverse the continent through the summer.

A special limited-edition MVI (Music Video Interactive, the music industry’s newest configuration) version of “Snakes & Arrows” will be released on June 5. The MVI is a DVD loaded with exciting new features. Superior sound quality plus a side range of video and interactive content combine to bring fans closer to the artists and their music. It plays in all standard DVD players, computers and game consoles with DVD drives. Digital music files are compatible with all MP3 devices. A modified digi-pack that is slightly taller than a standard jewel case has been designed to house all standard MVI releases. The new packaging is meant to provide a consistent look for the configuration and to distinguish it from both standard CDs and DVDs. The “Snakes & Arrows” MVI features the following:
