Out of all of the bands playin in the Rocklahoma Music Festival in 2007, W.A.S.P. is one of the few bands that has new music to play for the fans. (Warrant, Quiet Riot, and Bang Tango are the others.)
Dominator starts off with two great heavy tracks Mercy and Long, Long Way to Go. Blackie seems to sing in a little lower register on Mercy, and I like it a lot. This is a great new song.
The rhythm section takes over on Long, Long Way to Go. This fast and heavy drum beats of Mike Dupke really drives this track. Doug Blair cuts loose and provides some great solos, and Blackie sounds great as always!
Take Me Up is a varying tempo number that Blackie Lawless shines on. Great!!
The chugging guitars of Burning Man is very cool. Doug Blair’s outstanding guitar work makes this track shine. This is another excellent track on Dominator.
Heaven’s Hung in Black is a lengthy (over 7 minutes) powerful track that needs to be listened to multiple times to truly discover how great it is. It starts as a slow brooding number but breaks into something much heavier. Blackie’s voice is amazing and Doug Blair’s guitar noodling is superb.
Heaven’s Blessed cranks up the tempo once more, and is another great heavy tune on Dominator.
Teacher feels like a potential Rock Radio hit. I can see this one getting added to the playlists at some of the hard rock stations and XM radio’s Boneyard.
The revisit of Heaven’s Hung in Black (Reprise) was not really needed on this disc, and seems like a wasted track. If you need a shorter version of the song above, this one is the way to go, but you will miss out on Blair’s guitar work on the longer version.
Deal with the Devil is a heavy, upbeat rocker and a great album closer.
Dominator is another solid effort by W.A.S.P. and another great disc worth picking up in 2007. Currently, it seems the distribution of this disc has not brought into most U.S. retailers (unless you import it.)
Rocklahoma fans have some great new W.A.S.P. tunes to look forward to on the last night of the festival!

I have enjoyed the first two Spider-man flicks, and always catch the newest comic related movies on opening night. I own the first two movies on DVD, and personally believe that the first Spider-man movie, is still the best comic book movie ever made. I am hopeful that someone will top it someday.
I can honestly say that Spider-man does not top the original. Was it good? Absolutely! And at 2 hours and 20 minutes long, I felt like I really go my moneys worth. Spider-man 3 is not without its problems, although small ones. It seems to have lost the same feel as the original two movies. In Spider-man and Spider-man 2, you felt a connection to the characters. In Spider-man 3, you lose that connection somewhat.
There is so much happening in this story that it tends to pull you in a bunch of different directions, and as a result, it loses the feel of the first two movies. With that being said, your favorite cast of characters all return in Spiderman-3, Peter Parker, Mary Jane, Aunt May, Harry Osbourne, J. Jonah Jameson, Dr. Connors all return from from the first two movies. Gwen Stacy, Eddie Brock and Flint Marko were added to Spiderman-3 cast and were for the most part, handled pretty well.
The special effects behind the latest Spider-man villians, Sandman and Venom were excellent, and the sequences with both of these characters needs to be experienced on the big screen. It is some amazing stuff that you need to see for your self. (pun not intended)
As a whole Spider-man 3 was very good, but maybe didn’t quite live up to my expectations (which were huge) but I liked it enough that I will probably go catch it again, and I will certainly pick it up on DVD when it arrives later this year.
If you are a fan of these movies, or action movies in general, you need to go check this movie out. This movie has it all, drama, action, comedy and even some horrific moments. It’s worth the price of a movie ticket!

VINCE NEIL’s Dr. Feelgood’s Rock Bar Outfits Sicken Local Nurses
Palm Beach Post has issued the following report from Jose Lambiet:
It’s a storm in a syringe.
Area nurses are up in arms over a yet-to-open WPB bar fronted by wild rock star VINCE NEIL. Neil and his Clematis group plan to outfit barmaids and waitresses in sexy nurse’s outfits.
That has some real angels of mercy suggesting pickets and a boycott once the joint, Dr. Feelgood’s Rock Bar, opens downtown in late summer — possibly with a free concert by the MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman.
“This concept is showing serious disrespect toward professional people,” said 30-year nursing veteran and former Good Sam supervisor Deborah Copeland. “This is everything that nursing is against. Portraying us as servers in an establishment that doesn’t benefit anyone’s health is outrageous.”
Adds Palm Beach Community College nursing Associate Professor Rebecca Pleasant: “Anytime someone smuts the image of the profession, it’s demoralizing. There is a huge nursing shortage in the county, and being looked at as mindless sex objects won’t help us recruit students.”
Copeland and Pleasant are among several nurses who have asked WPB Mayor Lois Frankel and Downtown Development Authority boss Melissa Wohlust to run interference against the bar’s owners through the permitting process.
“The ladies seem to be organizing,” Wohlust said. “But there’s nothing we can do. What Dr. Feelgood’s is doing is legal and within code. We told the owners that some folks were offended by the concept, but that’s their marketing decision.”
Dr. Feelgood’s refers to a well-known Mötley Crüe song. The large Clematis bar will feature rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia, motorcycles and loud music in addition to a phony pharmacy counter stacked with oversized pill containers.
The owners, restaurant developers Cleve Mash and Rodney Mayo, also have received calls from ticked-off Florence Nightingales.
“They need to relax,” Mash said. “What about Halloween? All I know is the young nurses I know don’t mind being looked at as sexy.”
