Crash Diet / Ozzy in the News
Swedish/Finnish “glam rockers” CRASHDIET have issued the following update:
“After a rehearsal interlude in Stockholm, the Swedish sleaze rock band CRASHDIET is back to the studio in Sundsvall to record their second album. The title hasn’t been revealed yet. New a href=”http://www.crashdiet.org/blog/” target=”_blank”>blog entries are available now, with fresh videologs from the last photo session and a new 10-minute-long sneak peek from the recording process of the song ‘Die’.
“After revealing excerpts from the song ‘In the Raw’, the band’s giving the opportunity to their fans to get an exclusive preview of the new song ‘Die’. A new chatroom’s also available on the official message board so the fans will be able to talk to the members of the band when they’re online.”
Upcoming CRASHDIET tour dates:
May 31 – Tantogården – Stockholm, SWE
Jun. 01 – Tantogården – Stockholm, SWE
Jun. 06 – Sweden Rock Festival – Sölvesborg, SWE

CRASHDIET’s debut live appearance with their new singer, H. Olliver Twisted (of the Finnish hard rock act RECKLESS LOVE) took place on January 21 at the Rest in Sleaze festival at Debaser in Stockholm, Sweden.
H. Olliver Twisted joined CRASHDIET as the replacement for David Hellman (a.k.a. Dave Lepard), who committed suicide in January 2006.
Hellman was found dead on January 20, 2006 at his apartment in the Swedish city of Uppsala, north of Stockholm. It was reported in several places that he hanged himself, although this was never officially confirmed.
CRASHDIET is a Stockholm, Sweden-based Eighties hard rock-style band whose debut album, “Rest in Sleaze”, entered the Swedish national album chart at position No. 12.
CRASHDIET is reportedly the first “sleaze rock” band in over 10 years to be signed directly to a major company — Universal Music. The group, whose members are said to be in their early 20s, were scheduled to make their U.S. debut in March 2006 at the South by Southwest music conference/festival in Austin, Texas.

Ozzy’s performance last night is now on You Tube!
A video clip of OZZY OSBOURNE performing his new single, “I Don’t Wanna Stop”, on the May 18 episode of The CW’s “Friday Night SmackDown” at the sold-out 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore has been posted at YouTube. The track, the first single from Ozzy’s upcoming “Black Rain” album, will also serve as the official theme of WWE’s May 20 “Judgment Day” pay-per-view, two days before “Black Rain”’s worldwide release date.
As previously reported, the video for “I Don’t Wanna Stop” has been posted online at Headbangersblog.com (Note: You must live in the U.S. in order to view the video). The clip will also be shown on this weekend’s edition of MTV2’s “Headbanger’s Ball”.
Regarding the song, Ozzy recently told WWE.com: “I’m 59 this year. People keep saying to me, ‘You’ll be quitting soon, retiring.’ I don’t wanna stop! You’ll know when I want to stop because I won’t be doing it anymore. I’ve tried not doing it, but it’s not like I’ve got a job. I’d miss the fans. I’d miss the buzz, seeing the crowd going crazy.”
Due on May 22, the Japanese edition of “Black Rain” will include two exclusive bonus tracks, entitled “I Can’t Save You” and “Nightmare”. Apple’s iTunes Store is offering a special “pre-order” version of “Black Rain”, featuring the bonus track “Love to Hate”. The CD is available for streaming in its entirety at Sympatico.MSN.ca.
Ozzy Osbourne was recently interviewed by Scuzz TV about his new album, songwriting, war and life on the road. Watch the interview in two parts at YouTube: Part#1, Part#2.
