Guns ‘N Roses – The Spaghetti Incident? (Released-1993)
Guns ‘N Roses got into the cover disc game back in 1993. This disc was named after a band related incident, in which they got into a spaghetti throwing fight with their drummer, Steven Adler.
Spaghetti Incident? was only meant to be a stop gap in between records, not the swan song it became.
The music on this disc is outstanding, and some of the songs are so obscure, it is hard to tell they were cover tunes. The thing I immediately noticed on this disc was the huge guitar sound Slash has on it, and how big the production is. There are several instances where Duff McKagan takes
over on lead vocals (New Rose, Raw Power, Attitude and You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory)
I prefer the songs sang by Axl on this disc though. Some of the stand outs include Human Being, Ain’t it Fun, Black Leather, and as much as I hate to admit it, Hair of the Dog.
Since I Don’t Have You
New Rose
You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory
Ain’t It Fun
Spaghetti Incident? is still worth picking up today. It isn’t the best Guns ‘N Roses disc out there, but it does have quite a few quality tracks that are still worth discovering.

so that means that they didn’t do it right or was it them singing another persons song?
“Ain’t It Fun” is by far the BEST track on the disc!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With the release of Skid Rows B-Side Ourselves in 92′ and this one a year later, one might conclude there was something in the water at the time chemically removing originality. The truth is, the two bands were very well aquainted with each other, and Skid Row just beat them to the punch.
At the time of this release, I was expecting years of Guns material to come, I had no idea it would be their last effort. For this reason, I didn’t pay too much attention to it. Desperately coveting any GNR material years later, I re-examined this collection of obscurity and was pleasantly surprised. The gunners are stretching their legs and hitting on all cylinders. Finding this album, for the second time, was the very definition of serendipity.
