American Angel – Vanity (Release Year – 2007)
It has been 15 long years since American Angel has released their last CD, the “EP 1992″
The new CD Vanity is full of great 80′s style hard rock that was found on their 1989 debut CD.
The lineup of American Angel now features Rocco Fury on lead vocals, Dennis Zehrer on guitar, Mike Bisulca on guitar and back up vocals, Jay Druzsba on bass, Marc Ambrosy on drums and Eric Ragno on keyboards.
Rocco Fury’s voice is strong as ever and
at times reminds me of Sebastian Bach. The band is extemely tight, and Vanity has actually gotten better with a couple more listens.
I have spun this disc a few times now, and the highlights on this disc are Pantomind, Vanity, Don’t Wait Up and the power ballads, Warm Inside, and Another Day.
Pantomind
Warm Inside
American Angel isn’t breaking any new musical ground on this disc, but I wasn’t expecting them to. Vanity is a fun throw back in sound to the Big Hair era of music. If you like any of the late 80′s Hard Rock Bands, you are going to love. American Angel’s Vanity. You can hear more tunes at their myspace here.

I have been a HUGE fan for many years. Couldn’t wait for the new release! Awesome CD!!
Rocco sounds as good as he did back in the day!!
Never heard these guys, but always heard good things about that ep from 1992.
