Robert Plant Denies Led Zeppelin Reunion
File this one under “Communication Breakdown.”
Earlier this week, rumors of a Led Zeppelin one-off reunion show and possible 2008 tour circulated throughout the internet.
Yesterday, at a press conference in Greece for this weekend’s RockWave Festival, headliner Robert Plant denied the rumors and said he hadn’t heard anything about a Zep reunion.
When asked about the one-off show, Plant joked, “I don’t know if there would be enough doctors to support it.”
Previously, sources close to the Zeppelin camp had said that members Jimmy Page, Plant and John Paul Jones were planning to reunite for a memorial concert in London for Ahmet Ertegun, the Atlantic Records founder who died in 2006, and that if all went well, a full Zeppelin tour (with Jason Bonham on drums) would commence next year.
The RockWave Festival is happening June 29 and July 1 and 3, and will feature such artists as Plant, Metallica, Chris Cornell, Europe, Mastodon, My Dying Bride, Heaven and Hell, Dream Theater, Iced Earth and others. For more information, visit rockwavefestival.gr.

I’d like to see Page, Plant, and JPJ tour (I’ve seen them tour before as LZ).
I saw Page and Plant several times on their Leaded tour. Two of their concerts indicated that they should “hang it up”. The third, at Madison Square Garden, was “2 Die 4”. I’d travel across the USA and/or another country to see Page/JPJ/Plant perform.
But it looks like Plant will screw this up like he has in the past. I wouldn’t walk across the street to hear Plant perform his own music. It’s a shame Steve Marriot is not still around. We could hear Leaded Zeppelin without flakey RP.
Leave the Zep alone its history
If Plants playing live in London, reunion or not, Ill buy a plane ticket to get there, Plants my favorite of the band so Id do just about anything to see him live. Wonder how much flight tickets to london are from the US.
Well…that really sucks. I wanted a reunion. Oh, well. I guess Bob_vinyl is right.
Personally, I think they should leave the Zeppelin legacy intact and not try to recreate the past. The last two Robert Plant albums were fantastic and much more in the adventurous spirit of Zeppelin than a reunion would be.

A reunion (well 3/4 reunion) would be cool as hell, but I won’t hold my breath!
