VANHALEN Van Halen held a press conference this afternoon in Los Angeles. The Eddie Trunk Live show on XM 41 the Boneyard played the taped conference this evening.

Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth, and Eddie’s son Wolfgang will be touring this fall.

The band has been together since last October and has been rehearsing heavily over the last four month.

David Lee Roth says they have rehearsed more this year, than he has in the last twenty years.

Alex Van Halen says the band sounds better than it ever has.

Eddie Van Halen is happy that the band is together, and says the reunion is the shit.

David Lee Roth – This isn’t a reunion. This is like a new band. This is not rockers with walkers.

David Lee Roth – Michael Anthony is part of this band’s history and alumni of Van Halen as am I. Wolfgang is in the band because the kid is fucking amazing.

David Lee Roth – The ambition behind Van Halen is this isn’t a temporary reunion. We plan to tour and record new albums.

There are plenty of us out there that couldn’t disagree with you more. The 80’s era of rock represented time when music was fun. That is why it continues to have a strong following 20 years later. The crap Clear Channel continues to put out made me subscribe to satellite radio. I refuse to listen to their crap anymore.

Goofier than disco? Nothing was goofier than 70’s disco.

True there are plenty of new musicians out there that are rocking hard, that sound great. You won’t hear them on the radio today. It is too stuffed shirt to play anything real.

I suspect that this will be disapointing to more than a few people.Van Halen’s time has come and gone. Why won’t 80’s musicians realize that their era was the only thing goofier than disco. There are a whole new crop of musicians out there.Listen to something new.Break the chains that Clear Channel have bound you in.Quit living in the past.Peg, rest assured,I won’t like it or listen.

Who knows….the kid could be better than Michael Anthony. I like MA, but until any of us hear Wolfgang play live, none of us will ever know.

Back your truck up!!!! Michael Anthony is replaceable! Sorry he’s gone, but, what a better replacement than Eddie’s son!!! I know the harmonies will be different, but, it is what it is. If you don’t like it, don’t listen.

Michael anthony was FORCED out of VH-so people who think he wouldnt have chose to be there are HIgh! MA was forced to NEGOTIATE for lesser pay on the last VH tour by EVH-and had to go to MANAGEMENT to negotiate-therefore I will not be there-VH is the original 4=besides-anyone who has seen DLR live-knows he cant freaking sing the shit anymore-it will be a farce-watch for an overdoctored DVD to come out-with crap on it…VH SUCKS

Dorothy says: Ding Dong, Van Hagar’s dead! The wicked bitch, the wicked snitch! Ding Dong, Van Hagar’s officially DEAD!

    LONG LIVE THE CLASSIC ERA…!!!

P.S. Wrong choice, Mikey…bad decision (you chose Sammy over a Dave reunion???! WTF?) and it’s your loss!
Wolfie will kick your ass from here on in!
