to beanie who obviously doesnt even watch the show..toki is from norway and skwisgar is from sweden.. or dont you remember that it was skwisgar’s mom that was miss sweden..and to everyone talking about who the best band is..does it really flippin matter for fuks sake..as long as its not some whiny little emo punk crying how he wants to cut himself its pretty metal to me..but none of you know real metal..try listening to some real norwegian metal if you want to know real metal..all these bands are good and all but none have the intensity or the fury..ive been listenig to metal evolve since the eighties so none of you can really surpass that knowledge unless youre like really older than me..its been a lifestyle for me since i was eight and im 30 and i probably know more about music than most of you know about life…no offense

first off, dethklok is one bad ass band….. period. anyone who thinks they’re a “starter” band or for kids is a fucking moron. they combine comedy and metal in a way that is brutal as fuck, yet makes me laugh ’till my balls hurt at the same time. i enjoy the show, and the music by itself (depending on my mood, sometimes more so the music.)

in response to punkrocker’s comment about Lamb of God being “the most heavy metal band ever”, try listening to Between the Buried and Me. Lamb of Gods a bunch of pussies in comparison.

I can see it being both a “Starter band” for some, and something fun to listen to for others. It’s a satirical album made by and for metal fans. Though, it would be funny if something like Murmaider, or Go Forth and Die made it onto the air. I think the production is pretty good (for a mostly-soundtrack for an animated show on Adult Swim) and it’s just fun to crank up and play as you drive.
Also, they have re-recorded several of the songs that were just short clips. Most songs are between 2:30 and 4:30 in length. The “Deluxe” album has the second disk with two B.S. “chat” tracks of the characters turning up guitars and nonsense.
Other than those two tracks, and maybe Kill You or Hatredcopter… this is a pretty cool CD for all that is is and supposed to be.

Not a “starter” band… I sing in a death metal band, play guitars, play bass and I’m learning drums… This band is a unique blend of good drums with heavy riffs, technical guitars, and okay singing. Brendon is a good guitarist. I give him props.
