Clark County coroner spokeswoman Samantha Charles said after toxicology results were received Monday, “The cause is cocaine intoxication.”
Police have said there was no forced entry and no suspicious circumstances when Dubrow was found dead Nov. 25 at his Las Vegas home. He was 52.
Quiet Riot was perhaps best known for its 1983 cover of “Cum on Feel the Noize.” The song, featuring Dubrow’s powerful, gravelly voice, appeared on the band’s album “Metal Health” – which was the first by a metal band to reach No. 1 on the Billboard chart.
DuBrow recorded a solo album in 2004, “In for the Kill,” and the band’s last studio CD, “Rehab,” came out in October 2006.

Seether has been a band that has been off of my radar for a while, but after listening to Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces, I can not ignore them anymore.
The first song I heard off of this disc, was Fake It. That tune piqued my curiosity enough to seek out this record.
If you like that tune, this record will hold no surprises for you, but I think you will be pleased by what you find here.
Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces is a modern hard rock record, that has several radio ready tunes. If you are a fan of bands like Hinder, Nickelback, or Daughtry, you will probably get into this record.
Seether isn’t breaking any new ground with this disc by any means. There are at least five tunes on this record that have hit potential, (Fake It, Breakdown, FMLYHM, Rise Above This, and 6 Gun Quota) and that should be enough for Seether to have a hit record on their hand.
This is a great sounding record, and whether you like the newer, post-grunge hard rock acts out there or not, you are going to hear a lot of these songs in 2008. I like this record, and I think you will too!
You can check out Seether at their myspace page here.

Hard rock veterans Tesla return to the road in February for another round of dates supporting their most recent album, June’s “Real to Reel.”
The group, which revealed in September it would be returning to the studio to put together a new album for 2008, will kick things off Feb. 1 in Seattle, with 20 cities on the itinerary. All dates for the tour, which runs to a close in early March, are shown below.
The band is coming off something of a resurgent year, having completed its first world tour in 16 years this fall with dates in Australia, Japan and Europe. The band also toured extensively in the US this summer, when fans attending the band’s shows were given an early opportunity to purchase the second volume of “Real to Reel,” which was initially only available in single-CD format.
The two volumes of “Real to Reel” discs feature covers of “songs that inspired us back in the day when we first heard them in the ’70s,” singer Jeff Keith said in a press release. “We originally had a large list of songs in mind for the record, and we had a lot of fun picking out the ones that ultimately made it onto the album. Making music is all about feeding off of your inspirations and putting your own touches to it. We feel we’ve accomplished this to the highest extent.”
Artists given the cover treatment on Tesla’s new album include The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and others.
The album is Tesla’s first since once again parting ways with original member Tommy Skeotch, who was replaced last year on tour and in the studio with guitarist Dave Rude.
Last month, the band released the iTunes-exclusive “A Peace of Time,” a seven-song digital EP that includes covers of songs by Bread, The Climax Blues Band and Ten Years After, as well as the band’s version of the traditional holiday classic “Silent Night.”

Here is a live video taken from a show in September. Enjoy!
Great rock music should stand the test of time, Alice Cooper’s song, School’s Out does just that. This disc starts off with the anthemic title track which has been played on rock radio thousands of times around the world. It is the only hit worthy tune on this record, but the rest of the tracks have some merit.
The songs Gutter Cat Vs. The Jets, and Grande Finale have some credible lyrical contenta, as both were written as satirical pieces about West Side Story. They are an interesting listen, and worth spinning a couple of times. Luney Tune is a fun little trippy tune, that I would love to see get reworked.
By today’s standards, the School’s Out album sounds a little dated, but in 1972, this had to blow people’s minds. This disc sounds like a rock and roll, acid trip. The music is funky, and at times a little psychedelic.
This isn’t a record that I can get a lot of replay value out of, but it is interesting to hear the roots of Alice Cooper’s music. There are other discs (Billion Dollar Babies, Welcome To My Nightmare) that are better o start off with in the early Alice Cooper discography.

Lionsgate, the leading independent filmed entertainment studio and Twisted Pictures announced today that many of the top rock musicians were enlisted to record music for the REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA soundtrack. Principal photography for the film was completed last month in Toronto, Canada. The film was produced by Daniel Heffner, Carl Mazzocone, Mark Burg and Oren Koules.
The film was directed by Darren Bousman, a longtime member of the Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate families, having directed the past three installments of the wildly successful SAW franchise, including the recent smash hit SAW IV. Terrence Zdunich and Darren Smith, co-creators of the original New York and Los Angeles stage production upon which the film is based, wrote the film’s screenplay, music and lyrics.
Prior to the shoot, a two-month recording of the film’s soundtrack and score took place at Extasy Studios in Los Angeles. Japanese musician and composer Yoshiki Haysahi (better known simply as Yoshiki) from the legendary rock band X-Japan produced the music together with Joe Bishara. Executive Producer Jonathan McHugh, also served as the music supervisor.
“This is by far the most ambitious and unique project I’ve ever worked on,” raved McHugh. “The amalgamation of musical genres from pop to heavy metal and rap, to name just a few, really blends together to create one of the most diverse soundtracks in movie history and is destined to modernize the ‘rock opera’ in a big way.”
An all-star assemblage of songs will make up the soundtrack. Among the musicians featured are RICHARD PATRICK (FILTER), Steven Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), Clown (Slipknot), RAY LUZIER (ARMY OF ANYONE), Brian Young (David Lee Roth’s band), Richard Fortus (Guns & Roses), Sonny Moore (First to Last), David J (Bauhaus/Love & Rockets), Daniel Ash (Love & Rockets), Blasko (Ozzy Osborne), Tommy Clefetus (Rob Zombie’s band), Melora Creager (Rasputina). Also lending her voice to the soundtrack is the edgy pop star Poe.
“We’ve been fans of many of these bands for a long time and it was a dream come true to assemble such an all-star roster of musicians,” exclaimed Burg and Koules. “They really hit all the right notes in bringing the bizarre fantasy world of the film to life.
“The production’s musically inclined cast (all of the actors performed their own songs) includes: Anthony Head, whom fans will remember from his turn in Buffy the Vampire Slayer including the highly regarded musical episode; Paul Sorvino, a classically trained opera singer in his first movie musical role; Alexa Vega, most recently made her Broadway debut as Penny Pingleton in Hairspray; Paris Hilton, whose debut album Paris was released in 2006 and reached number 6 on the Billboard album chart, along with Bill Moseley, who in addition to his well known horror roles in House of a 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects, is also a member of the band Cornbugs with Guns N’ Roses guitar player Buckethead. Rounding out the electrifying cast are internationally renowned recording artist Sarah Brightman in her first ever movie role and performance artist Kevin “Ogre” Ogilvie, best known as the frontman for the experimental industrial band Skinny Puppy.

The Hairball John Radio Show as made a 2004 audio interview with Quiet Riot vocalist Kevin Dubrow available for free download.
In August of 2004 I conducted one of several interviews with Quiet Riot vocalist Kevin Dubrow. During this particular interview I felt he was the most open and candid as he discussed the fresh (2004) break-up of Quiet Riot, his first solo release “In For The Kill“, his conflict with other artists and his memories of the late Randy Rhoads. In light of Kevin’s recent passing I felt that fans of Kevin and Quiet Riot would treasure this unedited conversation. So we are making as a free download courtesy of The Hairball John Radio Show.
Enjoy the interview. Hairball John

Show Host Hairball John posted the following personal thoughts regarding the passing of Kevin Dubrow.
This past week the Metal community lost a very instrumental player in the passing of Kevin Dubrow from Quiet Riot. I was shocked when I heard the news but it did not fully register with me until we were recording our show later that week and were using a promo from Kevin to lead into “Cum On Feel The Noize“. It was then that I recognized the passionate artist that we had lost. I remembered the numerous times that I had been up against the stage for Quiet Riot shows since 1984, the three interviews that I had conducted with him over the past five years and then The Acid Chimp and I meeting him in person in 2004.
Over the past 25 years Kevin fully embraced his personal freedom to speak his mind and do as he pleased. Not always to the liking of the fans, other musicians or for the good of Quiet Riot, but always true to himself and that sense of living in the moment and speaking freely is something to be admired. Although it is always sad for a generation to lose an icon I am extremely grateful for the legacy that will live on and the incredible affect that Quiet Riot has had on the music industry. Not only were they the first Heavy Metal band to have a number one record (Metal Health), but the success of that release opened the flood gates for numerous Los Angeles based bands to get the full marketing support of their labels. This in turn made Los Angeles a magnet of proportional strength as it drew bands from all over the world to ride the second and third wave of success off of the Sunset Strip. But one of the most valuable aspects that came from Kevin Dubrow and Quiet Riot is the bevy of incredible artists that it spawned in the likes of Frankie Banali, Rudy Sarzo, Carlos Cavazo, Chuck Wright, and Randy Rhoads. All of which went on to play in a multitude of high profile bands. Try to imagine what Hard Rock and Heavy Metal would be like without the contributions of these artists.
While many fans and friends mourn the loss of Kevin I think he would want to be remembered by a line from Metal Health that seemed to represent how he lived his life I’m not a loser and I ain’t no weeper. Kevins contributions are invaluable, unforgettable and forever eternal. What more could an artist want?

He was a member of Alice Cooper’s band at the same time, as Kip Winger.
Both musicians branched out with music careers of their own after their stint with Alice.
Chances are, if you enjoyed Winger’s tunes to any degree, you will probably love Saints and Sinners. They style of music is quite similar.
Saints and Sinners is Roberts’ sophomore effort that was originally released on Geffen Records. This disc was produced by Sir Arthur Payson, who also has discs by RATT and Alice Cooper to his credit. Most of the songs on this disc were written by Roberts and Desmond Child.
With this record he had a couple of modest hits, with the track Twisted and Does Anybody Really Fall In Love Anymore? which was written by Jon Bon Jovi. I like both of those tunes quite a bit, as well as Rebel Heart and Fighter.
The sound on this record is typical early 90′s pop metal, but I am OK with that. I got a lot of play out of this disc back when I owned it on cassette years ago. I tracked down another copy of this one recently.
Fans of 80′s Hair Metal will definitely enjoy this disc. It is out of print, but you can still find copies of this one through Amazon.com and Ebay. Happy Hunting!

JOHNNY SOLINGER, lead singer for SKID ROW, and Texas chart topping label Smith Entertainment, have signed a deal to release a solo album of the singers’ own material that will draw more upon his Texas-born country influences like Hank Williams Sr. and Merle Haggard.
2008 sees SKID ROW lead singer Johnny Solinger pursuing something that’s been running through his veins his whole life…country music. On his latest solo material he proclaims…..
“Aside from SKID ROW, I’ve been recording some country tunes as well (hell, I AM from Texas) , and while it might seem odd to have such drastic tastes in music, it seems perfectly natural to me. I’m also excited about joining a team like Smith Entertainment, who’s roster includes Texas legends Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, and has also helped lead artists like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Pat Green, and Kevin Fowler to national acclaim.
When the Skids aren’t recording or touring I plan to be in a honkytonk somewhere dishin’ out my own brand of Texas country”
Teaming up with some of the greatest players Texas has to offer, guitarist David Grissom (Dixie Chicks, Storyville) bassist Tommy Shannon (Stevie Ray Vaughn Double Trouble) and many more…Johnny Solinger is sure to make a big noise in the country music scene in the years to come. Listen for the first single “Too Well To Go To Work” on Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana radio early in January 2008, and look for the self titled Johnny Solinger album in stores and on i-tunes by March.
“Too Well To Go To Work” has also been released as a single worldwide on i-tunes by Smith Entertainment and available now.
It’s still two weeks before the official U.S. radio add date, but Welsh metalers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE are already HOT at U.S. radio with “Scream Aim Fire,” the title track from their upcoming album, out January 29. Check this out:
For next week’s charts, “Scream Aim Fire” is
#1 MOST ADDED at CMJ’s Loud Rock chart
#1 MOST ADDED at FMQB’s Metal Detector chart
#2 MOST ADDED at Radio & Records’ Active Rock chart
#4 MOST ADDED at Radio & Records’ Alternative chart
Music Week, the UK’s record industry major trade magazine, wrote about the track, “Lifted from their brilliant second album, this lead track bears the hallmarks of Metallica in their prime…”
And if that’s not enough, the band is the #2 major label metal band across all of MySpace.
“Scream Aim Fire” is the title track from Bullet For My Valentine’s sophomore release, due out January 29. The band saw their 2006 debut album, “The Poison,” dubbed “One of the finest debut albums in rock history” by a major UK daily, while it sailed past the million sales mark – selling 350,000 in the U.S. alone.
“Scream Aim Fire” was produced by Colin Richardson (Machinehead, Funeral For A Friend) who also produced “The Poison,” and was recorded at Sonic Ranch near El Paso, TX earlier this year. The eleven new songs are, according to frontman Matthew Tuck, “really melodic heavy metal…catchy, hooky choruses and full-on vocals, with the music being very in-your-face and heavy…it’s a lot more up-tempo [than 'The Poison'], a lot more aggressive.”
The four-piece metal core band from Bridgend, South Wales, UK – Matthew “Matt” Tuck/vocals, Michael “Padge” Paget/Guitar, Michael “Moose” Thomas/drums, and Jason “Jay” James/Bass – are, according to the UK’s Kerrang!, well on their way to “phase two of world domination” with the new disc. For “The Poison,” Bullet For My Valentine graced the covers – at least once – of Kerrang!, Rock Sound, and Metal Hammer. In addition, they won Metal Hammer’s 2006 “Golden God Award” for Best British Band, and the 2006 Kerrang! Award for “Best UK Single” for their track “Tears Don’t Fall.” Here in America, the band was named “British Import of the Year” in Revolver, and “The Poison” generated the hit singles “Tears Don’t Fall” and “All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me),” with the video for “All These Things I Hate” going to the #1 spot on MTV2.
Bullet For My Valentine will headline a tour of the UK and Europe starting in late January, and will then head to the U.S. in late February. Details to be announces shortly.

The following announcement was posted on Journey’s website on 12/5/07:
JOURNEY – Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Ross Valory (bass), Deen Castronovo (drums) – is proud to introduce fans all over the world to their new lead singer, Arnel Pineda (“pin-eh-da”). He replaces Jeff Scott Soto, who parted ways with the band earlier this year after stepping in for Steve Augeri, who had to leave the band in 2006 for medical reasons.
Arnel hails from Quezon City in the Philippines and has been singing Journey songs – in addition to original material – with his band, The Zoo, for the past couple of years in clubs all over his homeland. Joining the legendary band is a dream come true for him.
“It’s so exciting to sing with one of the best bands in the world. It’ll be a lot of hard work on my part and I’m actually looking forward to the scrutiny I’ll get from the hardcore Journey fans. I know they’ll expect me to sound exactly like ‘the voice’ (Steve Perry), but that will never happen. I know there’s only one Steve Perry in this world.”
When it was time for Journey to look for a new lead singer, the internet came to their rescue. Guitarist Neal Schon wanted someone new to the music business, so he turned to YouTube. After finding Arnel singing ‘Faithfully‘, he knew he had found the perfect frontman.
“I was frustrated about not having a singer,” explains guitarist Neal Schon, “so I went on YouTube for a couple of days and just sat on it for hours. I was starting to think I was never going to find anybody. But then I found The Zoo and I watched a bunch of different video clips that they had posted. After watching the videos over and over again, I had to walk away from the computer and let what I heard sink in because it sounded too good to be true. I thought, ‘he can’t be that good.’ But he is that good, he’s the real deal and so tremendously talented. Arnel doesn’t sound synthetic and he’s not emulating anyone. I tried to get a hold of him through YouTube and I finally heard from him that night, but it took some convincing to get him to believe that it really was me and not an imposter.”
Arnel Pineda picks up the story: “My friend Noel picked up the message on YouTube and told me it was from Neal. I thought it was a hoax so I ignored it. Noel said, ‘what if it really was Neal and he wanted to offer you the chance of a lifetime?’ So I e-mailed Neal back and the rest is history.”
“Arnel brings a soulful and passionate voice to Journey,” continues keyboardist Jonathan Cain. “His personality is very well-suited to our music. He’s a sincere, authentic person with a great smile and a big heart. I think fans are really going to love him. With Arnel’s soaring tenor, Journey returns to our heritage sound.”
Schon agrees, “We feel reborn. I think there’s a lot of chemistry between the five of us. At first we were going to go into the studio and just write 4 songs, but now it’s escalated to a lot of great new and diverse material. The stuff sounds tremendous. Everyone’s so stoked about it. We feel very fortunate to have found Arnel.”
Journey is currently working on a new album with legendary producer Kevin Shirley, which they hope to release by spring/summer 2008. Details will be announced early next year.
The XXXmas tour featuring The Antidivision, Jetboy and Stephen Pearcy rolled into Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday Night. This concert was held at Whiskey Dick’s bar, which is a small club, but an intimate setting to catch bands live.
When I first found about this show, I was in disbelief that Jetboy was playing in Ohio. Their appearances here have been rare, so this show was one that I could not miss. Stephen Pearcy was a bonus, especially since I have seen him with RATT twice in 2007.
The Antidivision took the stage shortly after 9 PM. At the time the band started, their was only about 50 people in the club, and the small crowd had a very lackluster response to the bands’ tunes. I must admit that the band didn’t have much stage presence, and I wasn’t seeing a lot of energy in their performance. It probably didn’t help that no one in the audience new their songs. The band pulled a cover off of Suffergette City that was actually pretty good, but by then it was too late. People were ready for Pearcy to play. I can imagine that their 13 hour drive from Denver had them quite exhausted, and probably effected their show somewhat. Stephen Pearcy recently signed the band to his Top Fuel Records label, so this could have just been an off night for this young band. Their tunes on their myspace page show promise( check out the tune Let Yourself Go). This will be a band that I will be keeping my eye on in the future.
Jetboy took the stage around 10 P.M. and played a jaw dropping set, that included several tunes off of their releases Feel the Shake, and Damned Nation as well as a very cool cover of the Johnny Cash tune Folsom Prison Blues. I expected Jetboy to be good, but this high energy performance was well beyond my expectations. The crowd swelled (if you can call it that) to 100 people, and most of them flew to the stage like moths to a flame.
Lead guitarist Fernie Rod was completely off the hook. The small crowd didn’t deter his performance one bit. He played as if there were 1000 people in the club. The mighty mohawked, Mickey Finn proved to be one dynamic front man. I was equally impressed with Billy Rowe’s rhythm and slide guitar playing. The newest members of Jetboy Michael Butler (bass) and Jeff Moscone(drums) are solid additions to the band. Both musicians add their own spark to Jetboy electric live show.
How these guys are still virtually unknown is mind-boggling to me! This show made is clear to me, that Jetboy is back, and they are going to rock everyone along the way. The band is currently working on new tunes for a 2008 release. Don’t miss out on this show if they come to your town! Be sure to check out the live Jetboy videos below!
The surprise of the night, was RATT front man, Stephen Pearcy. I have seen RATT twice in 2007, and both times I felt that Pearcy’s voice wasn’t what it used to be. Amazingly, on this Tuesday evening, Pearcy sounded better than he has in a long time. His five piece band, were pulling off RATT tunes with ease, and sounded great. Something else that also surprise me, was the fact that The Antidivision’s frontman Erik Ferentinos was playing lead guitar for Pearcy’s backup band, and was pulling off those amazing DiMartini guitar licks like a pro. Obviously, he is a musician with a lot to prove.
Pearcy’s voice wasn’t perfect by any means, but it was far better on Tuesday night than any other time that I saw him sing in 2007. I was very glad that I stayed for the set that consisted mostly of Ratt tunes, but also included a few covers. (Judas Priest’s You Got Another Thing Coming and, Aerosmith’s Draw The Line to name a couple of them.)
Pearcy also performed a new tune that will be on his new solo disc due in 2008, called You’re A Lot Like Me which is captured in one of the videos below.
I am sure that the weather report with the expected 2 – 4 inches of snowfall kept a lot of Columbus rock fans away from this gig. They missed one hell of a show.
A special shout goes out to Kenny Ozz from Drugstore Valentine, who is a huge supporter of glam metal in the Ohio Tri-State Area. I didn’t expect to run into anyone I knew in Columbus, and was quite surprised to find some familiar faces in the crowd.
Don’t miss the XXXmas tour if it hits your town…there are a few dates left in December.

Onesidezero has announced they have parted ways with guitarist Levon Sultanian. A statement from the group reads as follows:
“We have decided to part ways with Levon due to creative and personal differences,” says frontman Jasan Radford. “The past 11 years that Levon and I played together were some of the best times and some of the hardest, but as time goes on sometimes things change and you grow apart. He will be missed, but we will continue and I see Onesidezero having a strong and positive 2008. A special thanks to everyone for supporting Onesidezero.”
The band will continue to support their recently released, self-titled, sophomore album with short headlining tour of the West Coast to round out the year, including a spot on 104.7 The Edge’s “Not So Silent Night” show with Atreyu, Five Finger Death Punch and Fair To Midland. Onesidezero will kick off 2008 with a European tour alongside ADEMA and RE:IGNITION.
Onesidezero’s Ulrich Wild (Static-X, Stabbing Westward, Taproot) produced sophomore album was released through Corporate Punishment Records. The album is the long awaited follow-up to the band’s critically acclaimed 2001 debut “Is This Room Getting Smaller”, which saw the group tour with the likes of Incubus, 311, Static-X, and Soul fly. The album’s first single, “My Confession”, has been picking up steam at radio with the track receiving steady rotation on XM Radio’s Squizz channel and Los Angeles based KROQ.

I’ve always liked Hardcore Superstar but in saying that, I’ve never thought they were anything to rave about, not bad but not especially fantastic either. Their releases up until the 2005 self titled album were likeable but fairly average at best. ‘Dreamin’ In a Casket’ is quite different to the Hardcore Superstar I’d become familiar with. This is much heavier sounding, in your face rock and I like it.
The first thing I noticed were the massive drums on this disc. In fact overall the musicianship is far superior and improved than any of their other undertakings; aggressive drums, big riffs, great solos, strong choruses and Jocke Berg’s vocals are at his high-pitched best. ‘Dreamin in a Casket’ kicks their earlier albums’ asses all the way to Sweden and back.
‘Silence For the Peacefully’ is reminiscent of Hardcore’s great anthem ‘We don’t Celebrate Sundays’. ‘Wake Up Dead In The Garbagecan’ is a killer track and I’d like to hear more of the gang vocals that are present on ‘Wake Up Dead’ on more songs where they are lacking slightly. Title track ‘Dreamin In a Casket’ is another great tune.
Of course nothing is perfect and some of these songs sound similar to one another, but they still pretty much all rock. They could also use a little help in the lyrics department but now I’m just being picky.
Superb and sleazy energetic rock. All in all a great effort from these guys.

In celebration of the release, Never Enough have scheduled in-store appearances at the Virgin Megastore in Orange, CA and FYE in El Paso, TX. Both in-stores will feature acoustic in-store performances by the band and will be FREE to the public.
“I’m so amped and anxious to perform a rare acoustic show in Orange County and El Paso, because they are our hometowns. Although these are acoustic performances, you can still expect a lot of passion and fire from the band which will only be a pre-cursor to what is coming in 2008 for the live shows,” says frontman Norman Matthews. “I’m honored to be sharing the stage with Keith and Trevor for the first time in front of excited fans. For me it’s a dream come true with the butterflies setting in, so thanks to all of you who have supported NEVER 3NOUGH early on in the game.”

Venusian rockers and occasional Earth dwellers, Valient Thorr, will begin working on a new album at the start of 2008. The band will spend January in Southern California writing and demoing new material before heading to Seattle to record with Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, High On Fire) at Studio Litho and Soundhouse Recording in February. This new album and follow up to their 2006 release, Legend of the World, will be released Summer 2008.
Valient Himself, lead singer of the group, said this about working with Endino, “Man, we’re psyched to begin working with Jack on the new album. Not only because of his discography, but after meeting him out on the Volcom Tour, I realized he was just as big of a record obsessive as I was.” Valient Thorr and Endino met and toured together earlier this year on the Volcom Tour where Endino was playing guitar in the group, Kandi Coded. Valient Himself goes on to say, “Check out his [Endino’s] meticulously detailed website, we could geek out on it for hours about hard to find badass tunes. The dude knows his sh*t back to front. This record is going to be over the top.”
Valient Thorr will be road testing some new songs – “Mask Of Sanity”, “Infinite Lives”, and “1000 Winters In a Row” – this month, when they join up for a two-week tour with The Sword and Black Cobra (see all dates below).

CHAVIS RECORDS recording artist AMERICAN ANGEL have landed the 1 position on Billboard’s Heatseeker (Northeast) chart with the bands latest release VANITY.
Billboard notified CHAVIS RECORDS and vocalist Rocco Fury last evening with the exciting news.
Vocalist Rocco Fury had this to say when notified; “Where is Candid Camera, are you joking with me, is this a hoax? WOW! I am ecstatic and very very happy about this. I knew this was a solid project when we recorded it and I believe whole heartedly in the songs and album. And when we’re all gone, VANITY will still stand on its own.”
VANITY was released in May of this year and remains a strong and consistent seller and continues to gain positive momentum and attention for the band. AMERICAN ANGEL are no strangers to hitting Billboard as they charted in 1990 with their debut release and again in 1993 with EP 92′.
AMERICAN ANGEL will continue to tour in support of VANITY with a few remaining dates in 2007 and then hitting the touring season again in 2008.

Everyone from AC/DC, to KISS, and even Jetboy have opened up their archives to deliver new collections worth owning. Megadeth is the latest to jump on the band wagon, by releasing their own set called The Warchest, a collection of goodies that not too many Megadeth fans will want to be without for very long.
Chances are you have many of the songs listed in this set, but you don’t have the rare demo cuts of these tunes. Some of which, I like better than the originals due to the rawness of the cuts.
The are several cuts that have never been released in the United States, and several more that have live cuts that have never been released anywhere. Disc 4 of this set captures a live show recorded live at Wembley Stadium in London in 1990. This is the first time you will hear these live versions anywhere.
The real bonus in this set is the DVD. Megadeth is captured live at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, from 1992. Those of you that were not overly impressed with the last Megadeth live DVD, That One Night – Live in Buenos Aires, truly needs to check this one out. This is an extremely tight set by Megadeth. It is a high energy, excellent hair flying experience. It is by far my favorite live DVD from Megadeth without question.
The Megadeth Warchest is a great collection with over five hours of superb heavy metal entertainment. This set is a must own for die hard Megadeth fans.
You have a few more days to get your name in the running for a free copy of this set. You can enter the Hard Rock Hideout Warchest giveaway at this link. The winner will be picked this Friday!
