Knyght – Destination Unknown (Release Year – 2007)
80’s style pop metal continues to influence bands from all over the globe.
The latest bit of glam metal comes from Knyght, a young five piece band from Italy.
Destination Unknown is the band’s five track demo. Judging from the tracks here, Knyght is a band with potential, but could use a good producer to help them tighten up their sound.
Tommaso Forni’s vocals kind of reminds me of a young Vince Neil. The music on this disc is solid enough, but the mixing seems to be all over the place. Stop Me is a fairly catchy tune, but the keyboards are mixed way to high on this tune.
The title track, Destination Unknown is another tune that has a lot of potential. The guitar work on this tune, was mixed way too low, and is drowned out by the keyboards.
I have no problem with the keyboards on the songs here, but they are mixed too high above the guitar playing, and that should be the band’s focal point.
Knyght is a band that has a lot of potential. They need to continue to work on crafting their sound. With the help of a producer and some one with a little more mixing experience, they could have a lot to offer to the glam metal fans around the world.

Just reviewed this at Heavy Metal Addiction. I think Knyght has potential but they need a good producer/engineer to tighten up that mix. Tommy has a heavy Italian accent when singing in English but a decent mix with proper harmonies could fix some of the problem. A little vocal coaching would help him control his voice.

Thanks to everyone…to Hard Rock Hide Out and Rob Rockitt, that give us a chance, and to all u other, we know that there’re lots of things that have to be fix, first of all my voice, but I’m workin’ hard on it (intonation, dynamics, interpretation and even accent…it’s hard for guys that were born outside Usa or Uk sing a good english, but i’m trying)
We’re 18 and we know, we can do it better, much better…and sure we’ll do!
Thanks
I really tried to enjoy it, but I couldn’t.. I don’t see a full production scale solving some basic problems this guys have. Zero dynamics, awful accent and seeing some live footage in youtube did not help either.. Time will tell.
Let’s just see where this kids go with their music…..
There are possibilities…

well I know demos are hard to judge and the fact its a demo has to be taken into account, and usually I can imagine the possibilities with decent production etc, but I’m not even seeing potential here. Vocals are terrible. It’s all terrible. but hey yu know what they say about opinions lol
It is definitely a little rough around the edges, but this is a demo cd. I expect that a full release will sound a lot better than this.
you guys seriously think this is ok??? I think its appalling! its not even glam, its sounds like klyie minogue on helium – as if Kylie wasnt bad enough 😛
Great Minds Think Alike! =)
Lol,
I was just getting ready to comment you when I say you left me a note on my page. Funny that we both reviewed this on the same day considering it’s an obscure title.
