Chavis Records has announced the signing of Atlanta’s ASPHALT VALENTINE. The group’s debut release, “Strip Rock Roll”, was produced by Andy Reilly and contains 11 tracks of “high-energy white-knuckled rock ‘n’ roll.”

ASPHALT VALENTINE will begin the 2008 touring season by hitting the road January 18.

Formed in 2003 out of frustration with the present music scene, ASPHALT VALENTINE consists of “five guys with one common goal — to play sleazy, ballsy, no frills, white-knuckled rock and roll in an era that is overrun with corporate induced blandness,” according to a press release.

(Rocklahoma side note: The band has July 11 – 13th scheduled in Pryor, OK.)

You can preview some of the new track’s at the Asphalt Valentine myspace page. Chavis Records has made the track, Strip, Rock Roll available for free at this link.
