New Motley Crue Record in July?!

The Pulse of Radio reports that MÖTLEY CRÜE has set a July 8 release date for its ninth studio album, titled “The Dirt”, according to sources close to the band. A yet-to-be-named single will arrive at radio stations on May 7.
The record is based on the band’s 2001 memoir of the same name and will be its first all-new studio effort since 2000’s “New Tattoo”. 1997’s “Generation Swine” was the last to feature the group’s original lineup, which reunited for a successful world tour in 2005.
Bassist Nikki Sixx wrote in a recent online update, “10 songs done for the new CRÜE album so far, I’m very proud of the songs. I think we’re onto some of the better songs we’ve had in years…Time will tell, of course. A couple of song titles on the CRÜE album are called ‘A Scar On Hollywood Boulevard’ and ‘The Saints Of Los Angeles’… The chemistry in the studio as we’re writing is unbelievable.”

MOTLEY CRUE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! I’m hoping to go to their next concert. I love all the 80’s hardrock, but i would have to say Crue is my fav.
It’s on http://www.iheartmusic.com RIGHT NOW PEOPLE!
LOL….c’mon folks….ya just gotta Believe……
I won’t hold my breath either Allyson!
There is no way this album will be done in July. In Motley Crue terms, that means September 2012.

I love Crue, but I have to agree with Bob on this one. No expectations whatsoever for anything remotely good to come out of this.
No reason to expect it to be good, but tons of reasons to hope! Mediocre Crue is better than most modern bands on a good album.
I can’t disagree with that point Bob. There were a couple of new songs on the Red White and Crue Greatest Hits package that were pretty good, but the last two albums were sub par for sure.
They’ve only released three good albums and the last one was almost 20 years ago. Why should we expect this one to be any good?
Is Tommy Lee still in the band?
Hard to believe that they released only two studio records since ’97, it seems like they’ve done so much more than that.
