As another 41 years old Whitesnake fanatic (cheers to Paulo) I have to agree- “a perfect mix bettween Whitesnake familiar sound and recent hard rock sounds … excellent!!!” I was totally blown away by how good this album is. I’ve met a few nay-sayers at work, but after they listened to the whole cd, they changed their minds and bought it. On a side note, it’s kinda funny that there are som many comments comparing Dio and Coverdale. Since Doug Aldrich has played with both of them, and picked Whitesnake to stay with (for now anyway). I was mad he left Dio (Killing The Dragon is a MONSTER of an album), but I’m glad he joined Whitesnake. It could be worse, Steve Vai could come back and suck the SOUL out of the band like he did with Slip Of The Tongue. Now that sends a shiver down mu spine!

I’m a 41 year-old Portuguese Snake fan. Since my youth in high-school i listened to their music. Like any fan i rush into the store to buy the album and I just can’t stop listening. If they had more media support most of the musics would be hits. For me it’s a perfect mix bettween Withesnake familiar sound and recent hard rock sounds … excellent!!!

Awesome album overall. All you pretend know-it-alls down on the scene really think you have a clue. Totally laughable. Let me tell all you blind and deaf “Helen Keller” retards the skinny: it’s been so long since you’ve heard a solid, heavy rock album like this that you had no idea whatsoever when you heard this one. Every ex mullet jockey around, from doctors to laymen, think this album rips it up like no other in recent years – save perhaps Airbourne and those kids in Black Tide – which have all been very recent. This album is balls out, fist pumping rock. Period.

You can disagree if you like and then promptly return to your ebay search for NKOTB tickets. Good luck homo.

I agree with Rob Rockitt. This album is weak. Dude, when u hire two guitar GODS in Aldrich and Beach i expected this record to shred like no other. I will always give Coverdale props for an excellent vocal proformance. Oh and Rob… Im a HUGE Dio fan too so i can see where you come from.

Must admit i am looking forward to it, after enjoying “Snake” music for many years and we had the pleasure of seeing “Whitesnake” in concert in Australia 4 weeks ago, i can assure
you it was a killer concert too, and with the special edition,
but disappointingly the live tracks are from the recent dvd,
cannot understand why oh why it’s exactly the same tracks from
“Live In The Shadow Of The Blues what can you do?

I saw him last year on the Heaven and Hell tour, and he sounded awesome. Sabbath (Heaven and Hell) is supposed to have a new CD out later in 2008. I am betting they will challenge for top marks in 2008, if they get the disc released.

Correct, but how many CD’s has he sold in the last 20 years? Sorry, not good enough. I seen Dio several years ago, and his voice was nothing compared to Coverdales, but again, your opinion.
