Metallica and their music needs no introduction to fans of Heavy Metal. Most of us have been rocking out to Metallica’s music since 1983
The brand new tribute to Metallica, Bite the Ivory, by Vitamin Records offers you the opportunity to hear just how incredible some of Metallica’s compositions are, without the heavy guitars, and crashing drums.
All twelve songs are performed on the Piano by the Russian born Sasha Ivanov.
Ivanov is a skilled piano player, and he treats Metallica’s music with the greatest of care. After listening to the songs in Piano form, it made me realize just how emotional these songs are. The complexities of each tune are made even more obvious when played on the Piano, and Ivanov is an extremely skilled pianist.
If you work in an office place where playing heavy metal music is out of the question, Bite The Ivory, might be the perfect way for you to get your musical fix. The songs are handled in a classy manner, and deserve multiple listens.
If you have an open mind, and want to explore, a new variation on some classic Metal tunes, check this disc out.
