Incredible Hulk – Movie Review
In 2003, Universal Pictures released a real clunker of a movie called Hulk. After seeing that disaster of a film, I was on the fence about seeing Marvel Studios latest concoction, the Incredible Hulk.
This movie is not a sequel of the original, in fact, The Incredible Hulk relaunches the Hulk franchise with a new story, a new cast and a fairly new direction.
In this movie, Edward Norton (Fight Club) stars as Bruce Banner, Liv Tyler (The Lord of the Rings) at Banner’s love interest, Betty Ross, and William Hurt as General Thunderbolt Ross.
The Incredible Hulk cast had a much better story to work with, than the 2003 flick. As result, Edward Norton played a good version of Banner. William Hurt did a solid job. Liv Tyler, on the other hand, was ultimately forgettable.
Tim Roth, who is the Hulk’s antagonist in this movie, is easily the character that was the most fun to watch.
This Hulk looks a lot less cartoony than the version from 2003, and a little more scary. The special effects, and CGI are top notch in this film. The action is also quite good.
If anything, the Incredible Hulk erases the awful memories of the 2003 flick. This movie will not challenge Iron Man for top grossing movies of 2008, but it is a solid film that is worth checking out on the big screen. Marvel should have another hit on their hands!

I thought the new Hulk flick was really good too.Much better than the first one in ’03.But I still prefer Ferigno!!!
Ahhhh…I loved this movie. Way better than Spiderman 3, but not as good as Spiderman 1. I just watched Fantastic Four 2 the other day again and forgot how much I liked that one too. Can’t wait for DC to catch up with some of their lesser known characters…
It is a good flick Metalman, and it easily sets up a sequel. I will buy this once it hits DVD. I still don’t think this one falls into the Spider-man class, but it is pretty good. No psycho babble in this one at all. This is more of an action movie.
Man, I’ve been waiting for a review on this movie from someone I trust! I’ll still probably wait for the DVD as my movie budget for the summer is saved for The Dark Knight and Wall-E (two different extremes I know!)
