Chinese Democracy in August?!

  • June 29, 2008

According to Gnrdaily.com, Amazon.co.uk is now listing the release date of GUNS N’ ROSES’ Chinese Democracy as August 25th. It is worth noting that they have previously listed its availability as September 2007, February 2008, and December 2008. Because of this, it is hard to put any faith in these dates. Amazon only knows what they are told by the record companies.

Perhaps more promising though, is the fact that Amazon.com finally, for the first time ever, has a page for Chinese Democracy. Again, Amazon only knows what they are told by the record companies, but this one is worth putting stock in! Why? Never before has Amazon.com put up a Chinese Democracy page.

HRH Comment: I wouldn’t hold my breath, waiting for this disc to come out. This news at least seems a little positive though.

Honestly! at this point who gives a rat’s ass? G&R put out a grand total of one great album and that was more than 20 years ago. Axl is a self-centered prick who doesn’t give a crap about his fans so I don’t understand why anyone gives a crap about him anymore.

I hear ya.For years Axl has pulled that kinda bullshit.I’ve dug his music since ’87,but come on,who in thier right mind would think this new material is gonna surface in ’08??? He’s got issues.Problems, or someshit.Back in ’02 he showed up @ the VMAs,remember? All he does is talk of this “new” record.Or we read about it.Its all getting OLD to me.

I was in Vegas January of ’07. Lucky for me, my boyfriend’s band happened to be recording at the Studio at the Palms at the exact same time as Axl was recording there for Chinese Democracy. Did we run into him? No. Why? Because he never showed up. He showed up for an all night recording session the night before we arrived. His manager would call and tell the studio he was coming, but he’d never show. He booked that studio for 2 weeks, and I think he only showed up twice. I realize that that was a year and a half ago, but I’m not holding my breath that Chinese Democracy will be out in August. Go buy Nashville Pussy’s new album, Chinese Democracy, which is already out or will be before Axl’s version. ;)

It will be a long time before Axl and Slash reconcile. I don’t see a GNR reunion happening anytime in the next decade. Not to mention the Chinese Democracy songs are terrible.

Further, I wouldn’t count on August 25, since that is a Monday (most releases are on Tuesday in the USA).

I’m telling you the break up of all the “supergroups” is a big conspiracy. Look at Army of Anyone, they’re done and now Filter is back together and the Deleo brothers are back in STP with SCOTT WEILAND…which leaves Slash and Co in perfect placement to join up with Axl.
