I stumbled on this band, Black Mountain, by complete accident. I thought their song “Wucan” was interesting enough. Let me know what you think about this. Should it SINK or SWIM?
Sounds like Gorillaz. Interesting. Let them swim.
Sink Sink Sink
Sink. I found this painful to listen to.
I swear I tried. that’s too much “dissonance” for my consonant ears.
dissonance is great when used wisely. Unfortunately is not the case here, not by a long shot, and those harmonies are OUT OF KEY Bob, not dissonant. Poorly written is an understatement. This stuff makes that Vixen tune almost bearable.
Ahh, but Marcelo, it sucks hippy trippy balls! Just because it isn’t the same old rehash of verse-chorus-verse pop rock with a lame guitar solo, doesn’t mean that it’s poorly written. Not every harmony should sound like the Beach Boys. The use of dissonance is an amazing musical device that is for some reason lacking in the creative giants that you enjoy.
Ahh I knew Bob would like that! But man this SUCK EPIC BALLS.
It’s a bad, detuned version of Doors and Coldplay with worst writing and singing. (if that is even possible)
I know they probably think is cool to just throw some Moogs sounds in the mix and lots of sustained keyboard chords, but I sincerely fail to grasp anything goo in it. Oh and those voice “harmonies”..ohh the PAIN.
Glad I could introduce you to something you liked Bob. That might just be an HRH first.
Actually, I liked this so much I just ordered the double LP. The label said there’s a 17 minute tune on there that gives “Echoes” a run for its money. While I doubt that’s true, I’d like to hear them try.
Crazy, barren psych with a bit of the Paisley Underground thrown in. this one swims.
A diffrent sound, but its just not sounding good
