The End of XM Radio’s The Boneyard?!

boneyardLast night, Eddie Trunk announced that XM41 The Boneyard is going to be removed off of the XM Radio Dial. Last night was the last show of Eddie Trunk Live of 2008. Sometime before the end of the week, The Boneyard will disappear off of XM41 forever.

Before you start screaming………………this is a temporary move as Sirius XM are juggling stations. Starting January 15th, The Boneyard will return to the XM dial, on channel 53, the station that currently holds the 24 Hour AC/DC channel. For you Sirius listeners, you will also get The Boneyard on channel 19.

While I hate to see my favorite station disappearing off of the dial, and as much as I think this is a boneheaded move by XM, I am glad to see that the station will return bigger and stronger, broadcasting over both satellite networks. Eddie Trunk Live is scheduled to return on January 19th.

  1. I liked the Boneyard before Eddie Trunk was a part of it because when I turned it to XM41, I wanted to hear metal, not some guy talking about metal music.. They had some guy with a NY accent and some deep voiced guy on there and that stuff was funny, but it didn’t run on for an hour+ like it did with Eddie Trunk..

XM started out with the slogan “100% commercial-free music”
then they got greedy, added some bullshit and got called out on it in court and had to change their slogan to “The most commercial-free music channels.” now I don’t see it much better than FM radio.. It’s sure not worth the 14+ bucks a month (my original account)
I pay more here in Minnesota than I did in California for some reason.

I don’t foresee XM and Sirius doing too well within the next couple of years..

I canceled all 6 of my subscriptions about 2 months ago..
(my truck, the warehouse and work vehicles)

I also hate dealing with people in India..
    that is all..

  2. Good job, thanks for your dedication to this, I miss my music..

    BRING BACK THE BONEYARD

  8. Ok everyone, post up the artists that are NOT getting played since the Boneyard came back on Jan 15, 2009. XM replied and wants input.

Many good ones are there, and just need more variety in what is played, but which bands are missing altogether?

    Post up!

  9. Thanks to jestmusic’s email addresses, I just sent another note to XMSirius asking them to mend their evil ways and get back to playing kickass rock!
