Hey fans. Kev loved the lime light. He loved the press, the radio interveiws. He had a mouth like a alicator. His love for his bud Glenns was huge. No body knows this but when talked of marrige… he wanted this (at the time I thought it was dumb) Ray charles a song for you. It goes like this.” I have played in front of fifteen thousound people in my life…When my life is over I will be singing this song for you” He kindof new? I just found the C,d, he burned for me in my car i freaked. It’s like he knew. He always said ” I’m loud who cares. He knew…. who freaking cares in the end. He was right… So fans Live for the day! He did! Please listen to his fav. song then email back you soft words of love for a wonderful man.

I had the pleasure of seeing Kevin perform live during QR’s heyday in the summer of 1984, with Helix & Honeymoon Suite as opening acts. I got to see the man up close & talk to him in person on 3 separate occasions throughout the 90’s. He was always so cool when it came to signing autographs & taking pictures with his fans. The guy seemed to have a funny one-liner for everything & was always the life of the party wherever he was. He was a larger than life presence. What a great vocalist & unique singing style he had. And like a fine wine, he got better with age. He was a truly a rock-star. I’m glad he got to live his dream. Thanks for all the great music, Kevin! We’ll never forget you!

I only got to see Quiet Riot once live here in Fort Worth, just a couple of years before his death. I got a great picture with him after the show. I met the man shook his hand and asked to take a picture with him, didn’t know much else to say I was truly in awe of such a great voice. I know I will never forget you Kevin. It hit me shortly after his death how ironic Thunderbird now is. To think he wrote that about Randy Rhoads, and now it seems to fit them both. Kevin meant a lot to me from the very first time I heard Metal Health, to the moment I met him in person. You are truly missed brother, here’s to you and I sure hope you and Randy are rockin together.

to me, the most sad fact about his death was that he truly was at the pinnacle of his vocal ability. Listening to several bootlegs from their 2007 tour, and to their excellent album, “Rehab” Kevin’s vocal range was as wide as it was in 1983, but his voice developed a much deeper timbre and grit to accompany that range. Really really sad. I did a nearly four-hour tribute to him on my Internet radio show, and we had just about the highest listenership in our station’s existance which proves that he was still loved even if Quiet riot was no longer in the mainstream spotlight.

He was found dead on the 25th. His date of death was determined to be November 19th, 2007.
