“Switchblade Serenades”, the debut album from SISTER SIN, debuted at No. 107 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
The first SISTER SIN video, “On Parole”, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed in late July in Stockholm with director Bill Schacht, who has previously worked with AMON AMARTH, DIO, ALICE COOPER and KING DIAMOND. The track is the first single off “Switchblade Serenades”, which was released in North America through Victory Records.
Having grown apathetic towards the popular trends in heavy Swedish music,SISTER SIN arose from the gutters of Gothenburg in 2002. Settling on their moniker because it represented their “bound to absolutely nothing” lifestyles, the furious foursome entered the local scene as a hard-hitting, undeniable metal force.
Backed up with fresh lyrics and gritty riffs, SISTER SIN set out to inject some of what had been absent from the heavy metal scene since the glory days of MÖTLEY CRÜE, MOTÖRHEAD, W.A.S.P. and ACCEPT.
“Switchblade Serenades” was produced by Tobias Lindell at Bohus Sound Studios in Sweden.

Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has finally ruled out the band getting back together for a concert tour
Plant, 60, said he has moved on to other things and was getting too old for two-hour rock shows in giant arenas across the world.
But he said he was regularly in touch with guitarist Jimmy Page and they were still great friends.
Plant has been nominated for five Grammy awards for his Raising Sands album with American bluegrass singer Alsion Krauss.
He said: “I’m doing very well with Alison and I’m enjoying that.
“I still see Jimmy quite a lot and he’s very complimentary and supportive of what I’m doing.
“But we are in different places now and you have to go on to do different things.”
Plant was on stage yesterday being interviewed on BBC Radio Wales by actress Ruth Jones who plays Nessa in TV’s Gavin and Stacey.
The live show came from Barry, South Wales, where part of the cult comedy is set.
Plant agreed to do a rare live interview because he is such a huge fan of the show.
But when Ruth asked him about a Led Zep reunion Plant said: “Do you know how long it took me to climb up onto the stage here – and it’s only four steps!”
Plant delighted the crowd by praising Ruth Jones for her Nessa character.
He said: “I’d just like to say thanks for giving me so many laughs over the last couple of years.”

Former KISS guitarist ACE FREHLEY was the featured guest on Eddie Trunk’s Friday Night Rocks radio show on New York’s Q104.3 FM as part of Eddie’s yearly tradition of The Original Merry Kissmas Special.
Frehley revealed that new album artwork will appear on his newly-launched website on January 5th. His long-awaited new album will be out next spring.
With respect to the songs on forthcoming album, Frehley told BW&BK recently: “There’s a heavy rocker called ‘Pain In The Neck’. And actually, I wrote this song called ‘A Little Below The Angels’. That’s a bit more of a commercial one, with a catchy hook. There’s another song called ‘Genghis Khan’, which is kind of like, if I had to categorize it, it’s maybe a little like ‘Kashmir’ from LED ZEPPELIN, a slower kind of grooving track with a good melody. There’s a slower track, which also has a kind of commercial… you know, the word commercial has changed. It’s called ‘Change The World’, which is an interesting kind of track, probably different from anything I’ve ever done. In fact it is different from anything I’ve ever done. You know, I think people are going to dig it. It’s slower, something you could imagine hearing on the radio. My bass player Anthony Esposito, he’s been helping me with the record from the beginning. He is playing bass on all the tracks so far. Anton Fig is playing drums on most of the tracks. I’ve got my touring drummer Scot Coogan; he’s going to be on a couple of tracks on the record. And I don’t think I mentioned Derrek Hawkins, the other guitar player.”
