Def Leppard Announces 40-City North American Tour

In what is sure to be the biggest rock event this summer, Britain’s greatest arena rock band Def Leppard will join forces with Poison and special guest Cheap Trick for a 39-city North American Tour. With combined sales of 100 Million albums worldwide, 65 million from Leppard alone, fans can expect hits like “PHOTOGRAPH,” “ROCK OF AGES,” “C’MON C’MON,” “POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME,” “FOOLIN’,” “BRINGIN’ ON THE HEARTBREAK, “NINE LIVES,” and countless others creating an evening of rock ‘n’ roll unlike any other this summer.
The tour, which kicks off on June 23rd in Camden, N.J, promises an unprecedented night for those in attendance. The show will highlight three decades of music from three of rock ‘n’ roll’s greatest bands for a four-hour interactive concert experience that will begin the moment that the doors open. It will feature Bluetooth technology and delivery, text communications prior to and during performances and a host of interactive offerings. This in addition to an arsenal of nearly 60 Top 40 hits including Poison’s “EVERY ROSE HAS ITS THORN,” “UNSKINNY BOP,” “RIDE THE WIND,” “SOMETHIN’ TO BELIEVE IN,” and “NOTHIN’ BUT A GOOD TIME,” as well as Cheap Trick’s “I WANT YOU TO WANT ME” and “SURRENDER.”

Def Leppard (Joe Elliott – vocals, Vivian Campbell – guitar, Phil Collen – guitar, Rick “Sav” Savage -bass and Rick Allen – drums) sits at the top of an iconic class of rock ‘n’ roll bands. In fact, they are one of a handful of select groups, including the likes of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Eagles, who have been awarded the RIAA’s prestigious Diamond Award more than once (“PYROMANIA” and “HYSTERIA“). The band’s most recent album “SONGS FROM THE SPARKLE LOUNGE” debuted last year at #5 on the Billboard Top 200; earning Def Leppard their highest-charting debut since their 1992 album “ADRENALIZE“.

Since the 70s they’ve been blending elements of pop, punk and even metal in a way that is instantly catchy and recognizable.

Iwould like to know if there are any contests or giveaways for the concert in Kansas City Mo. I grew up loving these guys, and now my 17 year old daughter says these are the greatest bands. We seen Bret Michaels last and it was an excellant show. I would love for her to see Poison Cheap Trick and Def Leppard. That would be awesome.
