First winner of the Jezebeth Ultimate Band Contest, Eden’s Curse featuring a duet with Michael Eden and Pamela Moore, have released their new music video “Angels & Demons” to be featured in Damien Dante’s forthcoming Original Motion Picture Jezebeth, which will be released via Satania 6 Films later in 2009, as well as the Dark Star Records accompanying Soundtrack.
The band have also inked a deal to include the promo video as a bonus inclusion on the DVD release of Jezebeth. The video features clips from the movie starring Bree Michaels as Jezebeth.
Eden’s Curse head out on tour in the UK & Ireland next month with Finnish Power Metal sensations Stratovarius and Greek Melodic Metallers Firewind.
There are very few times, especially in today’s music scene, where a band actually lives up to the hype that precedes them. For Chicago based rockers the Last Vegas they not only live up to the hype on their new release “Whatever Gets You Off” they completely blow all those expectations out of the water. But then again, the Last Vegas is not just some new band that walked in off the streets and into the recording studio to record “Whatever Gets You Off”. The band has been releasing albums since 2004 and along with endless touring have definitely paid their rock ‘n roll dues, the fact they have Nikki Sixx helping drive the boat only helps take the band’s punk, sleaze/glam inspired rock to the next level. The only complaint I have about “Whatever Gets You Off” is the fact that six of the eleven songs on this album were also included on their 2008 self titled release. But for anyone hearing the guys for the first time that isn’t going to really matter.
The title track “Whatever Gets You Off” kicks off the whole shebang with a modern sounding Dangerous Toys groove, especially at the chorus. The band as a whole absolutely smoke this song, but vocalist Chad Cherry and guitarist Adam D’ Arling especially stand out. D’Arling shreds his solo on this track and Cherry is so full of swagger and attitude it just spills all over this song. If you want a song to crank and piss the neighbors off this is definitely the song. “I’m Bad”, which is the first single and video, follows up with a thumping nasty groove laid down by drummer Nate Arling and bassist Danny Smash. “High Class Trash” and “Loose Lips are two more swagger and attitude filled rockers with some great foot stomping grooves courtesy of some great bass lines from Danny Smash.
“Apologize” is probably the biggest surprise on “Whatever Gets You Off” after four straight up rockers, a piano and strings based dare I say power ballad with a great 70’s arena rock feel to it was the last thing I was expecting but the band is able to pull it off. You can definitely expect lighters and cell phones lighting up for this one if the band performs it live. “Cherry Red” gets the band back on track with a great sleazy groove and sing along chorus. “Dirty Things You Do” is a great stripper song with a Velvet Revolver feel to it. The remaining four songs on “Whatever Gets You Off” are all re-recorded versions of songs from the band’s last release other than a few subtle changes here and there, they are all note for note versions of the originals.
When summer finally comes around and the top comes off my Jeep “Whatever Gets You Off” is definitely one of the albums I will be blasting all summer long, much to the dismay of my neighbors.

Collection Captures Hits Plus Unreleased Tracks
Band Returns For Extensive US Summer Tour
Mixing introspective singer-songwriter sensibilities with a commitment to genuine roots rock, The Wallflowers have released five studio albums, sold more than eight million copies of their catalog, topped the Billboard charts, scored a multiplatinum album, several Modern Rock hits, two Grammy(R) awards and a legion of fans. The Wallflowers will release a ‘retrospective’ set entitled A Collection: 1996-2005 on June 16, 2009 (Interscope/UMe). The disc brings together fourteen of the Los Angeles group’s hit songs – from their 1996 breakthrough quadruple platinum album Bringing Down The Horse all the way through to their most recent full-length, 2005’s critically acclaimed Rebel, Sweetheart – plus two unreleased tracks.
With leader Jakob Dylan overseeing its production and compiling the track list, the 16-selection A Collection: 1996-2005 is the definitive look at a critically-acclaimed favorite of the past decade, whose tales of disillusionment and perseverance were wrapped in a sound both gritty and polished, melancholy and aggressive.
An extensive US summer tour will feature Rami Jaffee (keyboards) and Greg Richling (bass) along with Jakob Dylan (vocals/guitar), Fred Eltringham (drums/vocals), and Stuart Mathis (guitar). The Wallflowers three-month trek is set to begin in mid-June and last through August.
After a 1992 major label album, The Wallflowers broke through with 1996’s Bringing Down The Horse, produced by the renowned T-Bone Burnett with the Top 10 Modern Rockers “One Headlight” (#1), “6th Avenue Heartache” (which guested Adam Duritz of Counting Crows), and “The Difference,” plus the Top 20 track “Three Marlenas.” A Collection: 1996-2005 also includes “Invisible City” from the same album.
Reaching #4 on the charts and certified quadruple-Platinum, Bringing Down The Horse spun off Grammys for “One Headlight” for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Rock Song. For 1997, its video was voted #1 on VH1 and #5 on MTV.
The follow-up, 2000’s (Breach), went to #13 and Gold, with the Top 40 Modern Rock “Sleepwalker.” A Collection: 1996-2005 also includes its “Letters From The Wasteland,” “Hand Me Down,” and “I’ve Been Delivered.” 2002’s Red Letter Days, which spotlighted Dylan on lead guitar, reached Top 40. Culled for A Collection: 1996-2005 are “When You’re On Top,” “How Good It Can Get,” and “Closer To You.” One of the collection’s bonus tracks, “Eat You Sleeping,” was originally recorded in 1999 for (Breach) but never released.
The Wallflowers’ final Interscope album, 2005’s Rebel, Sweetheart, again was Top 40. Produced by Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam), the album featured “Beautiful Side Of Somewhere” and “God Says Nothing Back,” whose demo version is also included as the second previously-unreleased bonus track.
In addition to recording and touring with the Wallflowers, Dylan has also launched his solo career, releasing his debut album, Seeing Things, in May 2008.

What happens when three three former members of Buckcherry reunite? They have transformed into a new powerhouse rock band in the form of Black Robot!
Black Robot taps into the influences of classic hard rock acts like AC/DC and Aeromsith, while creating something new and refreshingly cool.
Black Robot is powered by the vocals of Detroit native Huck Johns. If you haven’t heard Johns sing before, you are in for a treat. Producer Dave Cobb pushes Johns to new heights. He sounds great on this CD.
Johns vocals are not the only high point here. The rest of band featuring Yogi Lonich on guitars, Jonathan Brightman on bass and Devon Glenn on drums play their asses off on this CD. I am pleasantly surprised on how different this material is from their past music.
If you aren’t hooked with big stadium anthem “Baddass”, the cover of J.J. Cale’s “Cocaine” will surely pull you in. Black Robot could have easily tried to mimic the Eric Clapton version of this song, but instead opted for something completely different. It is almost as if the band was possessed by the spirit of Bon Scott when they recorded this song. This is a very cool cover tune.
“Momma Don’t Cry” has an awesome Jimi Hendrix like vibe to it. Check out the jangly riffs on this tune, and you will see what I mean.
“I’m In Love” slows down the pace with an a very cool ballad. This song could be a big hit for the band if it catches on.
“Money” is an infectious upbeat tune that is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The lyrics are simple, but the music is quite fun. Who doesn’t like money?
“In My Car” has a good, classic 70’s rock vibe to it. This song reminds me of “Toys in the Attic” era Aerosmith. I like this tune a lot.
“Love On A .45″ sees Johns channeling his inner Zeppelin on this catchy tune. Great Tune!
Black Robot has proved once again that ROCK IS NOT DEAD. The band has cranked out one great debut. This CD is one of my new favorites this year! Check them out at this link!!
You gotta get a copy of this CD! You can buy your own disc from Amazon.com, at this link.

Rock Gone Wild, America’s newest and most diverse rock festival, has added two metal bands to its lineup. German power metal specialists Primal Fear and Powerman 5000, a group which features Rob Zombie’s brother Spider One in its lineup, will make neck braces and earplugs mandatory during Saturday’s show. Primal Fear will be playing one of the biggest gigs of its career in America at this year’s Rock Gone Wild. A festival mainstay in Europe, the band has only played a handful of gigs in the states. That will change this summer, as the band tours here to support its eighth full-length recording, “16.6: Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead”, due out in America on June 7.
Powerman 5000 is working on a new record as well, and it might be out by the time the group hits Algona. If not, the group can rely on such hits as “Free”, “When Worlds Collide” and “Nobody’s Real” to keep the head bangers busy during its performance.
With these announcements, the bill for the inaugural Rock Gone Wild is shaping up as one of the most interesting ever presented in the States. American fans have long clamored for a European-style rock festival that features bands from today’s scene as well as the ’70s. Those same fans have asked to see melodic rockers, hair bands and power metal groups on the same bill, and as you can see by checking out the festival line-up at http://www.rockgonewild.com, this dream is closer to reality with every band announcement that is made.
Rock Gone Wild is scheduled to take place August 20-23 at the Freedom Park Festival Grounds in Algona, Iowa. The festival billing is now shaping up as follows: APRIL WINE ARMORED SAINT BLACK ‘N BLUE CANDLEBOX CHERIE CURRIE CRAZY LIXX DANGEROUS TOYS DOKKEN EVE 6 GREAT WHITE GYPSY PISTOLEROS HARDCORE SUPERSTAR HELIX HONEYMOON SUITE JACKYL JUNKYARD KIX L.A. Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of CONSTANCIA’s debut album entitled “Lost and Gone” on July 3rd in Europe, August 11th in the USA with a Japanese release to follow on King Records.
Constancia started out as the brainchild of former Scudiero/Token keyboard player Mikael Rosengren. He had written a bunch of songs that were just screaming to be completed, recorded and released. He got in touch with Janne Stark (Overdrive, Locomotive Breath, Zello etc.) asking him to lay down some guitars on the demos. Janne loved the songs and got even more involved in the guitar arrangements. Thus the seed of Constancia was planted. “I’ve always been a fan of the pompish-side of Melodic Hard Rock and bands like City Boy, Styx and Trillion as well as the real heavy stuff. I instantly felt these songs could be the perfect marriage between the melodic rock, some progressive moments and an aggressive touch added to it. That’s when I came to think of the style description: – Melogressive Metal”, says Janne.
Next up was to find a drummer, where Janne had previously worked with TrumPeter Svensson both in Locomotive Breath and Mountain Of Power. Peter is also found in doom-folk rockers Faith. Mikael then found Jaded Heart bass-player Michael Mueller, whom he met when their respective bands shared label. After having tried out several singers Janne came to think of Andromeda singer David Fremberg, who had also appeared on Janne’s Mountain of Power album. One vocal trial track later he became the band’s lead vocalist. The vast geographical differences not meaning any limitations, the album now started growing together piece by piece. It all amalgamated into an end result that is a true band effort!
“It was really interesting to see it merge together and like a small weed slowly rise and break through the asphalt to finally blossom when all the pieces came together”, says Janne who was appointed recording project manager. The band first tried out different engineers to mix the album, such as Beau Hill, Pontus Norgren, Pontus Lindmark and Pelle Saether, all of them doing a great job, but it was finally Fredrik Folkare (Unleashed, Eclipse, Siebenbürgen) that was chosen to mix and co-produce the album. “He finally found the essence of what we were after: the marriage between the melodic side and the heaviness” concludes Mikael. To put a final touch killer touch on the sound the album was mastered by Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Sunstorm, Place Vendome etc).
“Lost And Gone” tracklisting includes: Fallen Hero; Troublemaker: Blind; Little Big You; The King Is Calling; Dying By Your Flames; Save Me; No One Like You; Life Is A Mystery; I Never Said Goodbye; Wish I Could Fly; www.lostandgone.com.
Constancia will also exclusively appear with one song from the forthcoming cd on the Sweden Rock Festival sampler cd which will be distributed for free to all the fans attending.

Sweet Cyanide Releases July 7th On Break Down Lane Music
New York’s post-hardcore outfit SWEET CYANIDE will kick-off the summer with the release of their self-titled debut CD, Sweet Cyanide on July 7th on Break Down Lane Music. SWEET CYANIDE has a knack for blending the energy of more abrasive bands with great pop hooks, spiked with hair-raising guitar solos. The first single aptly titled Crash Theory will hit airwaves late August in time for the band to announce tour dates. “Crash Theory was written about a person who purposely destroys the relationships around themselves just to thrive on the feeling of loneliness and the high of putting it back together,” explains singer Sal Scoca.
SWEET CYANIDE is comprised of four individualistic, yet united stimulation junkies. “All four of us are literally insane—but each in a totally different way,” laughs Angelo Fariello. The bassist grew up idolizing Nikki Sixx, Paul McCartney and Gene Simmons, and loves that SC’s live show is “like a punch in the face.” He terms lead singer, Sal Scoca, an evil genius, getting inside your head and making you believe you’re orange. SWEET CYANIDE is the collective endeavor of members from two NYC based bands that are well recognized on the regional scene, Crashbox and Moment Theory. Sal Scoca (Vocals/ Guitar) and Angelo Fariello (Bass), both from Crashbox developed a solid bond with Mike Bambace (Drums) and Joe Salvatore (Guitar) from Moment Theory.
Sweet Cyanide carries a light sexual theme on the record dealing with the typical rock concept of sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll but with the bands own little twist. It is a solid and true rock record in the veins of Motley Crue, Velvet Revolver and all that came before them that make this album a must-have for your collection!

Check out the newest video from rock band Saving Abel. The video for “Drowning (Face Down)” features NASCAR drivers Jeremy Mayfield as well as cameos from Clint Bowyer, Carl Edwards, Martin Treux Jr. & Brian Vickers.
The video is the third video from the band’s gold debut self-titled album. It depicts Mayfield as an aspiring racer in pursuit of his racing dreams. The video was shot at Bristol Motor Speedway and at Mayfield Motorsports in Harrisburg, N.C. Including in Mayfield’s wind tunnel.
“It was awesome and I can’t wait until it comes out,” said Jeremy Mayfield, who finished 32nd during Sunday’s Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway. “Just being a part of that was just cool for me. Those guys are great guys and I’m glad to see them coming up. I didn’t really know them that well until we did the video and they have a lot of fun. It’s funny how our story kind of fit their song and worked perfect for their video.”
A five-time Sprint Cup race winner, Mayfield hasn’t had a full-time ride in more than two years and decided to start his own team a month before the 2009 season began. Mirroring the music video’s theme, Mayfield has started three races this year, including racing his way into the Daytona 500, and is trying to recapture some of his past successes.
“We had a blast shooting the ‘Drowning (Face Down)’ video with Jeremy Mayfield and the other NASCAR drivers as we’re all big NASCAR fans, said Saving Abel frontman Jared Weeks. We especially love how Jeremy’s real life story mirrors the character he plays in the video.”

Tesla returned to Cincinnati, Ohio a couple of weeks ago, this time in support of their latest album Forever More.
Tesla always manages to bring some new bands with them each tour and this time it was not different. Opening up for the Sacramento rockers, where Southern California’s Damage, and Kansas City’s The Leo Project.
I must admit that I have only heard a song or two from either of the opening acts so I didn’t have any expectations of any kind.
Damage took the stage first, and I was pleasantly surprised by this band. I thought Damage was a tad bit harder than The Leo Project, and had better songs. Their music has an interesting twist due to the Cello playing of Erin Shawn Hawkins. Hawkins dishes up some heavy cello work as well as some solid back ground vocals for this band. Damage is an up and coming band worth keeping an eye on.
You can hear some of their songs at this link.
The Leo Project was up next, and put on a solid performance. They did not impress me as much as Damage. I thought The Leo Project has more stage presence than Damage, but I believe Damage has better songs. Of course I prefer more hard rock than alternative, and The Leo Projects songs have more of an alternative/modern rock slant. The Leo Project did play a pretty cool cover of the Mr. Mister song, “Broken Wings”. This was the only song I knew, and I liked that pretty well. Overall, they did a pretty good job getting the crowd warmed up for Tesla. I checked out some of the band’s songs on myspace, and found some cool stuff. I will give them another shot if they come back around. Check out The Leo Project at this link!
This show was on a Wednesday night, so the overall attendance swelled from about 200 people to nearly 500 by the time Tesla took the stage. I have been fortunate enough to see Tesla three times in the last three years, and this was my favorite performance by the band out of their most recent shows that I have seen. The band played several songs from Forever More, but also broke out some classic songs that I haven’t ever seen them play before.
The set list was something like this: “Forever More”, “I Wanna Live”, “Modern Day Cowboy”, “Breaking Free”, “Hang Tough”, “Heaven’s Trail”, “Call It What You Want”, “Shine Away”, “Paradise”, “Love Song”, “Fallin’ Apart”, “What You Give”, “Little Suzi”, “Signs”, “Into The Now”, “Cumin’ Atcha Live” and “Rock Me To The Top”.
During their set, Tesla brought out their friend Dale Lutz from Dayton, Ohio who played the mandolin on the songs “Little Suzi” and “Signs”. That was a pretty nice touch to their show in my opinion.
I am a huge Tesla fan, and actually was indecisive about going to this show. It was already a long tiring work week, and I almost skipped this show.I watched the live DVD (Comin’ Atcha Live) again, and shook off whatever crazy notion I had about skipping this show. I am so glad that I went. Tesla rocked the crowd so hard that someone actually lost their dentures during the show. That had to be one of the funniest things to ever happen at a live concert.
Tesla put on another amazing show. Jeff Keith’s voice was excellent, and guitarist Frank Hannon was on fire all night. Frank has got to be one of the most under rated guitar players of all time. This guy should get a lot more attention than he does today. Dave Rude’s playing compliments Frank Hannon’s well. He is proving to be a great addition to Tesla.
I truly enjoyed getting to see some of the songs that I haven’t seen Tesla play including Shine Away, and Paradise. I am still hopeful that they will work Song & Emotion back into their set someday, but I was still extremely pleased with this show. I had a great time, and can’t wait to see the band play live again!
Check them out if they hit your town! You wont be disapponted!

After the break up of Hanoi Rocks, The Electric Boys have reunited, and are releasing a greatest hits CD this summer. Check out their videos below!
Marvel’s latest blockbuster hit theaters Friday. Those of you that didn’t watch the bootleg version that found its way to the internet a couple of weeks ago, are in for a real treat. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not your typical comic based movie. This movie is much more story driven than most comic based movies. Sure there are cool special effects, and plenty of action but its the story that drives this movie, and it is a good one.
The origin story of Wolverine is a pretty good tale, and although the movie alters some things in the comic based origin, it does a pretty good job depicting Wolverine a.k.a James Howlett’s life prior to joining the X-Men. Hugh Jackman proves once more that he is the best actor for the Wolverine character. He truly brings this character to life on the big screen.
Liev Schreiber who plays Wolverine’s antagonist brother Victor Creed makes a strong statement to return in another X sequel, assuming there is one.
The rest of the supporting cast is pretty good as well. I enjoyed seeing some long time X-Men characters Gambit, Deadpool and the Blob on the silver screen.
If you stick around through the end of the credits you will be treated with one of two different endings in this movie. I wont spoil the ending, but don’t be in a hurry to leave if you go to see this film.
Some of the music in this movie was provided by Keel guitarist Marc Ferrarri’s company Mastersource. How cool is that?
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a highly enjoyable movie. I highly recommend it!

L.A. HEAVY METAL MAESTROS STEEL PANTHER TO RELEASE 20 YEARS IN THE MAKING DEBUT ALBUM …FINALLY
The Album FEEL THE STEEL To Detonate Across The U.K. On June 8th
The Single DEATH TO ALL BUT METAL To Explode Into The U.K. on June 15th
Lock up your daughters! Break out your hairspray – Los Angeles’ premiere heavy metal band, Steel Panther, will be releasing their debut album, Feel The Steel, on Island Records June 8th. This mythical musical masterpiece has been 20 years in the making with the band returning in 2009 to reclaim their rightful place among metal music’s heavyweights. Powered by audacious frontman Michael Starr’s fearless vocal charge, the group ignites audiences from every walk of life with their unbridled valentine that goes right for the jugular of the heavy metal repertoire. Joining the effervescent Starr are Steel Panther’s Stix Zadinia on drums, Satchel on guitar, and bassist Lexxi Foxxx.
As word of Steel Panther’s return began to spread around the music community, a who’s who of musical artists stepped up to join the band in reclaiming metals place among the top of the music landscape. Allison Robertson of the Donnas and Justin Hawkins from the Darkness make an appearance on the Steel Panther mantra number, “Party All Day.” Anthrax’s Scott Ian shows up on the soon to be international hit, “Asian Hooker” alongside Slipknot’s Corey Taylor who also appears on the soon-to-be classics, “Eyes Of A Panther” and the first single, “Death To All But Metal.” The single is already making waves at rock radio in the US with programmers declaring, “…a very welcome ‘F U’ to anyone who’s ever questioned whether or not rock has attitude…”
The four member band, known for their outrageous stage presence and gargantuan guitar riffs have been entertaining fans and scores of rock and entertainment VIPs with their raucous antics via L.A.’s longest running heavy metal show on the Sunset Strip for nearly a decade (now running at the infamous Key Club every Monday night). The band also holds residencies at the Green Valley Resort and Casino on Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas. UK metal magazine Kerrang recently attended a Steel Panther show and quickly professed: “Hair metal is back and it is here to fuck your girlfriend.”
Known for their lively between-song banter and dead-on affirmation of metal’s ‘golden age,’ the group’s debut effort promises to exude the same Steel Panther bravado and irreverent vitality that has compelled a stable of revered artists join them on stage through the years, including Gene Simmons of Kiss, Dave Navarro, Tommy Lee, Perry Farrell, Billie Ray Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Pink and Jessica Simpson.
With critics raving that their sold-out brand of ‘unmistakable roaring rock’ has put the fun back in music, the band also carries their unvarnished sense of excess over to their website http://www.steelpantherrocks.com or their MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/steelpantherkickass – which embodies another stirring quality of Steel Panther – truth in advertising.
After 20 years in the making, it’s time to let the cat out of the cage…

Hailing from Bilboa, Spain comes a melodic rock 4 piece known as Airless who released their third album “Fight” in December of ’08. Airless is comprised of Robert Rodriguez (guitars), Iñaki Lazakano (vocals) and the rhythm section of Miguel Manjón (bass) and Pako Martinez (drums). Airless formed in 2002 and released their self titled debut in June of the same year. A little under 3 years later the guys returned with their second release titled “2nd Round” bringing even more attention to these Spainards and opening the doors for them to tour with the likes of Tyketto, Riot, and DARE. 2008 saw the release of the band’s third release “Fight” which took the sound of the guys in a slightly harder edge direction trying to capture the energy and rawness of their live show.
For fans of big choruses, melodies, and excellent guitar Airless offers it all plus more, with a sound that mixes a little Firehouse with a little Dokken. There are a few songs on “Fight” where Iñaki Lazakano reminds me of a young Don Dokken, especially on the track “Blame (The Darkness Part II). Rodriguez can hold his own with just about any guitarist in music today while Miguel Manjón and Pako Martinez are as tight as can be as a rhythm section. Other stand out tracks include “Don’t Give Up”, “Now or Never”, and “Crying For Your Love”.
To celebrate the album’s release Green Day and Hard Rock Hideout have teamed up to give one lucky winner the chance to score Mike Dirnt’s signature Squier Precision Bass and the limited special edition version of the new album.
The limited edition vinyl/ CD art book is one of 3000 and includes the full length CD, three special 10” vinyl featured each act of 21st Century Breakdown along will a special book containing 60 pages of unique album art designed only for this edition.

NEW SINGLE “NO SURPRISE” OFFERS FIRST GLIMPSE OF NEW ALBUM, THE BAND’S FOLLOW-UP TO ITS MULTIPLATINUM DEBUT
Daughtry will debut “No Surprise,” the first single from the band’s second album, during the Wednesday, May 6 episode of American Idol. It is the first track from their 19 Recordings/RCA July 14 release. Daughtry is currently in the studio finishing the yet to be titled album, which follows the band’s GRAMMY-nominated, quadruple-platinum debut.
“American Idol fans have been so loyal to this band, we wanted to give them the first listen to our new single,” says singer Chris Daughtry.
Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely recorded the new album’s 10-plus songs in Los Angeles. Boasting a more gritty sound, the new album features a band sharpened by two years on the road, where they’ve graduated from clubs and theaters to opening arenas for Nickelback and Bon Jovi.
The new album follows the runaway success of Daughtry’s 2006 debut, which scored three #1 songs and was the biggest-selling artist release for two years running. The accolades garnered by Daughtry include multiple wins at the American Music Awards, the World Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.
Active in the fight against global poverty and disease, Daughtry supports the ONE Campaign. Last year, the band performed at both political conventions to raise awareness for the ONE Campaign and encourage first-time voters.

If you were to ask the average hard rock fan about the band Icon, I am sure you would probably receive a blank stare by most folks. The die hard hard rock & metal fans know these guys, and know them well.
If you aren’t familiar with the band, they are a five piece act that started out with a look like early Motley Crue, and had a sound that was like a good blend of KEEL and Y&T.
If you like big bombastic guitar solos and screaming metal vocals, you will definitely enjoy Icon’s debut. Dan Wexler’s noodley guitar solos on this disc are great, and Stephen Clifford’s vocals could give Ron Keel a run for his money.
There are a few songs on this disc that get a lot of repeat plays by me including, the rocking anthem “On Your Feet”, “Under My Gun”, and”Rock and Roll Maniac”. Even the instrumental track “Iconoclast” is cool. This disc isn’t terribly long. It clocks in just a little over 37 minutes. Although, it is short, is a pretty fun hard rock disc.
Fans of mid 80s’s metal like RATT, Dokken & Keel are sure to love this. The debut CD has been out of print for years, but copies of it show up on Ebay on occasion. It is definitely worth seeking out if you can find a copy. Happy hunting!
For more information on Icon, check out the band’s myspace page.
