Rockitt Rant – Nothing But A Good Time From Poison?

A mini Rockitt Rant this week.  In light of Ticketmaster/Live Nation’s new no service charges on Wednesday, I decided to give another look to the cost of the Poison and Def Leppard tickets.  I found some exciting (insert sarcasm here) new ticket packages available from Poison.

Choose from one of three Poison Ticket Packages!

Each Poison Nothin’ but a Good Time’ Experience includes:
-One reserved seated ticket located in the first 10 rows of the stage
-Exclusive Velvet Rope Side Stage Seating during Poison’s performance
-Preshow Poison Backstage tour
-Official Poison VIP Laminate
-Exclusive Poison Shirt
-Autographed 8X10 photo of the band
-Collectible Poison Coloring Book & Markers
-Exclusive Poison Bandana
-Set of official Poison Guitar Picks & Drum Sticks
-$25 voucher to the official Poison on-line store
-Early access to the Poison merchandise booth

You can have Nothin’ but a Good Time for a mere $621.50 per ticket.

Each Poison ‘I Want Action’ Ticket Package includes:
-One reserved seated ticket located in the first 10 rows of the stage
-Preshow Poison Backstage tour
-Official Poison VIP Laminate
-Exclusive Poison Shirt
-Autographed 8X10 photo of the band
-Collectible Poison Coloring Book & Markers
-Exclusive Poison Bandana
-Set of official Poison Guitar Picks & Drum Sticks
-$25 voucher to the official Poison on-line store
-Early access to the Poison merchandise booth

You can have all the Action you want for a mere $471.50 per ticket.

Each Poison ‘Ride the Wind’ Ticket Package includes:
-One reserved seated ticket located in the first 15 rows of the stage
-Exclusive Poison Shirt
-Exclusive Poison Bandana
-Collectible Poison Coloring Book & Markers
-Set of official Poison Guitar Picks & Drum Sticks
-$25 voucher to the official Poison on-line store
-Ticket Package BONUS! Two lucky fans will be upgraded to the Poison ‘I Want Action’ package.
You can Ride the Wind for $271.50.

The ticket limit for the packages is (4) tickets per package.  Will call only.  Merchandise will be shipped separately from your ticket.

As high as ticket prices are in 2009, someone in Poison’s management must have found the  need to bleed more money out of the fans.  I am sure someone out there will pay these prices too.  I know Bret Michael’s hair extensions must be costly, but this is absurd.

End of rant!

Deff Leppard was the best. Cheap Trick was awsome as always and
poison was S.O.S. Same songs, same outfits same everything.

If you want to see Bret Michaels in person, go to his birthday party. Its a 100.00 ticket and you can see him, get a picture with him and have a beer with him. Now thats how v.i.p. should be treated!

I went to the concert at the d.t.e in Detroit. The back stage tour was Robb showing us all the stage hands semi trucks and a quick walk
through the back stage. We bought the highest tickets you could by.
When the time came to stand on stage during Poison, they made up an
excuse that there was no room for us to stand. They made us go back to our seats. They said that cc. deville didnt want us by his guitar rack. There were three couples that were told to stay in their seats, but some friends of brets got to stay in our spots. We never got to see bret or anyone. 1300.00 in tickets and
we saw semi trucks and an empty tour bus. The same thing happened last year and i dont know why I thought it would not happen this year. I will never buy any v.i.p. tickets for poison again. You pay all that money to watch a big hair bimbo slut walk
in for free. See more, do more without having to pay anything.

    Gee thanks bret!!!!

Umm.. those ticket prices sound a lot like RGW ticket prices.. except they don’t have any bands the caliber of Poison…

      Hayley,
You can get a 4 day ticket for RGW for $175. (4 days, not the less than 4 hours that the Cheap Trick, Def Leppard and Poison concert will take). They don’t have bands the caliber of Poison? The Saturday lineup alone has TWISTED SISTER
      SKID ROW
      LITA FORD
      DOKKEN
      KIX
      GREAT WHITE
      LA GUNS (featuring Phil Lewis)
      PRIMAL FEAR
      HARDCORE SUPERSTAR
      DANGEROUS TOYS
      HELIX
      JUNKYARD
      STALLION FOUR

I will take Kix and Twisted Sister over Poison and Def Leppard any day of the week.

Bret Michaels was just in Toledo Ohio and they wanted $35 for a ticket to a club show. No thanks!!!

I couldnt of said it better. Poison used to be great to their fans. But those days are long gone. Luckily I scored a free pair of tix to the Poison tour or else I may not even go!!

    C’mon folks….you can’t take all that money with you when you’re gone…..

So pony up people….it’s for a good cause….(insert some more of Rob’s sarcasm here)

    Holy..
    A Poison bandanna? really??
I’m probably too old for this shit because I find this totally SAD.
What a lack of respect. This management team could join forces with the Motley Crue Fan Club and create a major company. “Douchebags Inc!”
