CHICKENFOOT will perform on the June 5 edition of NBC-TV’s “The Tonight Show”, helping to kick off the program’s first week with new host Conan O’Brien. The appearance comes just days before the June 9 release of CHICKENFOOT’s self-titled debut album.
Although many “supergroups” tend to make one or two albums before its members go their separate ways or back to other projects, Satriani told The Pulse of Radio that he thinks CHICKENFOOT will be around for a while. “Well, I hope so, and I have a very good feeling that everybody is feeling the same way, that it’s a once-in-a-lifetime connection that you get, and that nobody wants to see it evaporate,” he said. “The good thing about being where we are in our careers is that we can pretty much decide what we want to do, and when to do it. But on the same token, nobody wants to disrupt anybody else’s trajectory with their other bands or their solo careers.”
The first single from CHICKENFOOT’s album is called “Oh Yeah”.
The vinyl version of the record will feature a bonus cut called “Bitten By The Wolf”.

Oscar, first of all how old are you? If you want funky you don’t listen to hard or classic rock. A number one album, which by the way is very good, and enough talent to definitely be a supergroup. not to mention, Sammy is the best! Sounds like you need to flip on the Backstreet Boys greatest hits or something.—Later—–
as someone who saw Chickenfoot in LA, all I can say is its Chickencrap. If you are looking for a lap around a well worn track of boring anthem driven shout out choruses about girls, tequila and hanging out in Baja, this may be your thing. For those of us that outgrew that at 15, you may want to look elsewhere for entertainment. Joe Satriani couldn’t play rhythm guitar if his life depended on it. Then you have Chad Smith in the band and you play NOTHING even remotely funky? That should be illegal. This is the definition of contrived supergroup. Chad Smith in particular is way to cool for this band. His solo project (Bombastic Meatbats) is what everyone should be checking out.
