British metal band Fury UK has been confirmed to play Hammerfest II at Pontins Holiday Village, Prestatyn, North Wales.

During the past 2 years the band has played Bloodstock Open Air, Hellfire Fest, Bulldog  Bash, Rock Of Ages, SOS Festival & more. Lead vocalist/guitarist Chris Appleton says “We’ve just completed our gig commitments for 2009 & the final gig in Manchester was a real celebration of a happy year for the band, when we’ve toured & played with some great names such as Blaze Bayley, Michael Schenker, Saxon, UFO &, Motorhead, as well as playing international dates in Greece & Switzerland & releasing our best music so far with the album “VR”. We’re looking for more of the same in 2010 & it’s a great boost to straight away be confirmed for an event such as Hammerfest”.

Fury UK plays the Saturday at Hammerfest, that’s March 13th.

The band takes a short rest from tour dates in January before embarking on the following :

February
6th Dudley                          JB’s
11th Manchester                   Grand Central
12th Boston                         Axe & Cleaver
18th Swindon                       12 Bar
20th Belgium                        Wizzfest
March
13nd Prestatyn, N.Wales        Hammerfest
26rd Newcastle                     Trillians
27th Grimsby                        Yardbirds Club
30th Camden                        Purple Turtle

More dates to be added soon.

“VR” album reviews….

Kerrang magazine “..a commendable charge, standing up very well against the likes of White Wizzard & Cauldron.. pumping, ever-propulsive guitar riffs.. full-blooded vocals.. dynamic hooks.. aren’t going to be understood by Elliott Minor fans.. grimaced chants & guitar theatrics will win over the metal community in a trice”

Powerplay magazine “..storming album full of inventive, melodic metal.. at times intricate, dense, delicate & crushing.. reminds me of Priest & Maiden.. excellent piece of work.. powerful, heavy, accessible, modern metal.”

Get Ready To Rock “….excellent production and playing …. the music is compelling with some proggy and unexpected touches in places, and there is the energy of a nascent Megadeth …. an excellent album”
