Hansel – Never Say Die (2010)

When I think of Australia, I think of bands like AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and Airbourne.  I would never expect a decent glam metal act to come out of Oz Imagine my surprise when I heard the debut CD, Never Say Die from Hansel.  I have known about Hansel for quite a while.  I checked out their Mission to Rock EP, and I liked a couple songs off of it.  I was quite surprised to find that this new CD is overwhelmingly good. Never Say Die is easily a contender for the best of 2010.

Never Say Die is packed with infectious rockers.  In fact, the pace only slows down for “Between A Rock and a Hard Place”.  This is the CD’s lone ballad, and it has a cool Poison like feel to it.

Some of my favorites include “Rock City”, “Rocketship of Love”,”1-800-Pleasuretown” and “Murder 101″.  “Murder 101″ was carried over from the Mission To Rock EP, and rightfully so.  This is an extremely catchy song, and needs to be heard by everyone.

Hair metal fans looking for some cool new music to check out, look no further.  Hansel’s Never Say Die delivers the goods. Fans of bands like Poison, Wig Wam & Steel Panther will eat this up!

Check out Hansel on myspace to hear some of the new songs, and grab a copy of the CD off of the Hansel website.  You won’t be disappointed.
