Cheap Trick and Audi of America come together for “Green Police”

Cheap Trick and Audi of America come together to rock the big game on Sunday, February 7.  Cheap Trick went back to the studio to rescore the hit “Dream Police” and renamed it “Green Police”.  The new version will be featured as the music track in the Audi A3 TDI clean diesel commercial scheduled to air during the game. The spot shows, in a fun way, how choosing the green car A3 TDi clean diesel is an easy way to lend a hand to Mother Nature when faced with many difficult eco choices. A limited number of free downloads will be available exclusively for Twitter followers and Facebook fans at www.facebook.com/audi.

  1. After seeing the commercial, I have since removed my Cheap Trick headband and poster from the walls. Unbelievable that they endorse a pseudo-police state akin to the Gestapo imprisoning “green” offenders. Ubelievable.

  2. I hope its just a cool car commercial and a little satire. I love Cheap Trick and I would hate to see yet another of my favorite bands shill to political extremist idealism. Having not seen the footage, it sounds like they’re promoting the government idea of jail time if you don’t recycle…
