Rocklahoma Announces 2010 Lineup

THE REVAMPED ROCKLAHOMA FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!

ZZ TOP, GODSMACK, BUCKCHERRY, AND TESLA HIGHLIGHT THE 2010 EVENT!

Today, festival organizers announced the much anticipated return of ROCKLAHOMA, set for Memorial Day Weekend, May 28, 29, 30, 2010 in Pryor, OK.  The new, captivating line-up for ROCKLAHOMA highlights some of the biggest rock bands in the United States from the ‘80s, ‘90s & today!

Established in 2007 as a Classic Rock destination festival, ROCKLAHOMA organizers focused on revamping the 2010 event to encompass a much broader mix of classic, current and up-and-coming rock artists.  Mission Accomplished!

The ROCKLAHOMA 2010 line-up includes:  ZZ Top, Godsmack, Tesla, Buckcherry, Cinderella, Chevelle, Stone Sour, Theory of a Deadman, Saliva, Saving Abel, Adelitas Way, Janus, Aranda, Burn Halo, Richy Nix, Shaman’s Harvest, Taddy Porter, Like A Storm, Taking Dawn, New Medicine, Year Long Disaster, Brookroyal, Within Reason, Wildstreet, Firstryke, Krank, The Glitter Boys and more very special guests to be announced!

ZZ Top’s Billy F Gibbons commented, “As life-long residents of ‘Baja, Oklahoma,’ Dusty, Frank and I are looking forward to making the northward trek to Pryor in May.  The idea of sharing the stage with so many great, cutting-edge bands out there today is most appealing.  It’s like rock ‘n’ roll summer camp; does that make us campers or counselors?”

“The new vision for ROCKLAHOMA is to draw a much wider rock audience by exploring more sides of the genre,” commented Joe Litvag, Senior Vice-President of AEG Live and Executive Consultant to the ROCKLAHOMA organizers.  “This is such an amazing location for a multi-day camping festival, and I’m proud of the fact that we’ve been able to bring together some true icons of rock to perform alongside many of the hottest news and established rock acts in the country!  It is definitely going to be a holiday weekend to remember,” Litvag concluded.

Three-day passes start at only $95 and will go on-sale on Saturday, February 27th at 10am CST, exclusively at http://www.rocklahoma.com.  Camping add-ons, VIP packages, and seat upgrades will also be offered at the time of purchase.  For a full list of amenities, including VIP camping spots, reserved concert seating, and unlimited, all-inclusive food and drink, please visit www.rocklahoma.com.

Festival president Mark Nuessle explains the value and experience that Rocklahoma offers by adding, “It has always been a top priority for Rocklahoma to be an affordable experience for all.  Where else can the ultimate rock fan see this many artists for under $100?  And for our VIP’s to be able to eat and drink for free, at their leisure, as part of the inclusive VIP experience?  These are the elements that really make Rocklahoma a one-of-a-kind rock experience!”

ROCKLAHOMA is located just 45 minutes northeast of Tulsa, in Pryor, OK.  The “Catch the Fever” Festival Grounds is a premiere destination for a multi-day festival, and includes on-site camping with access to restrooms and shower house, a general store for campers, VIP reserved seating, hospitality areas & much more.

  1. VERY SPECIAL GUEST ACCORDING TO OUR INVESTIGATIONS OF AEG CLIENTS INCLUCE METALICA, NICKELBACK AND BON JOVI.
BASIC REASONING SKILLS ELIMINATE BON JOVI IMMEDIATELY AS THEY DONT NOT SEEM TO FIT IN WITH THE 2010 LINEUP—AND THEY SUCK…LOL
NICKLEBACK IS ALREADY SCHEDULED TO PLAY SHOWS ALL AROUND THIS AREA
BONUS-BONUS-BONUS METALICA HAS A 3 WEEK LAPSE IN THEIR TOURING SCHEDULE THAT COINCIDES WITH THE ROCKLAHOMA DATES.

THAT BEING SAID….SHORT OF GUNS AND ROSES OUR GROUP CANNOT THINK OF ANY OTHER ‘VERY SPECIAL GUEST’ ALTHOUGH GNR HAS NOT BEEN MENTIONED IN THE SAME SENTENCE WITH AEG ACCORDING TO OUR RESEARCH

BARRING 2 DIFFERENT DEFINITIONS OF THE TERM VERY SPECIAL GUEST, METALICA SEEMS TO BE THE MOST LIKELY CANDIDATE.

WE HAVE DONE HOURS OF BRAINSTORMING, CHECKED BAND SCHEDULES, CONSIDERED WHAT BANDS WOULD EVEN QUALIFY AS A VERY SPECIAL GUEST, AND WE CAN ONLY CONCLUDE THE 3 BANDS LIST (POSSIBLY GnR WHICH WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE SPECIAL GUEST, INCLUDE SLASH, DUFF AND IZZY, YOUVE GOT A WORLDWIDE APPEAL AND ONE HELL OF A SHOW) BUT METALICA SEEMS TO BE OUR RESEARCHED GUESS.

IF SOMEONE ELSE CAN THINK OF ANOTHER BAND THAT IS A VIABLE CANDIDATE THAT FITS THE CURRENT 2010 LINEUP, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO JUMP IN.

    • PS. ALICE IN CHAINS WAS ALSO CONSIDERED, BUT THEY WERE ALSO NOT MENTIONED UNDER CLIENTS OF AEG. THEY WOULD QUALIFY IN OUR HUMBLE OPINION.

    • Further inverstigation now has eliminated Metallica and placed ALICE IN CHAINS as the likely candidate for Rocklahoma, Sorry for our miscalculation, but AIC is a 90% probability.

  2. Greetings all my fellow Rocklahomans!
Are any of you as pissed off as I am about the new line up for this year’s Rocklahoma event? I was quite disappointed and heart broken to find out that the bands this year are nothing at all like the bands from the last three years of Rocklahoma. When I contacted Feverfest and demanded my money back for the tickets I purchased under false pretences a year in advance, I was tolled “too bad, all sales are final and the band can be changes with out notice“. I understand that the bands can be changed, but after three years of 80’s rock bands, it is assumed and expected to see more of the same type of rock bands this year. But the bands they have on for Rocklahoma 2010 are not any where near what we have become accustomed to. This being said, my attorney and I are in the process of filing a class action law suit against Feverfest if I don’t receive a full refund. If any of you out there who have asked for a refund and was denied want to join this suit, contact me ASAP at FelixBorin@gmail.com

  3. Yikes what a crap-fest! You had to see this coming when AEG got involved. They have now killed everything unique and special about this festival. This is supposed to be a festival for 80’s style hard rock bands, I can see adding a Classic Rock day for bands like ZZ Top or a Metal day like last year but nobody wants all these lame alternative acts like Saving Abel and Drowning Pool that you can see anywhere. Totally lame!

  4. Well I’m disappointed to say the least! What happened to the 80′s bands?! I thought that was the whole point??

  5. R.I.P. Rocklahoma as we remember it. But Rock will Rise again!

  6. Need another headliner. Whitesnke. Scorps. need more than this I’m tellin ya.

  7. Dont like it. At all.
