SCHOOL OF ROCK TO PRESENT
JOE LYNN TURNER
AS GUEST PROFESSOR/PERFORMER AT THREE LOCATIONS
IN NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY AND PENNSYLVANIA JUNE 17-19
Students attending the SCHOOL OF ROCK programs in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will have an opportunity to share a studio and stage with legendary rock singer/guitarist Joe Lynn Turner, when he serves as guest professor and performer with the All-Stars at three locations in June: Downington PA 6/17, Bergen County, NJ 6/18 and New York City 6/19. Included in the set list for the shows, the students and Turner will perform a tribute to his former Rainbow band mate who recently passed away, Ronnie James Dio.
Turner’s career highlights in the heavy metal/rock world include performing and/or recording with Rainbow, Bob Daisley and Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osbourne), Brian Johnson (AC/DC), Yngwie Malmsteen and Deep Purple.
Turner excitedly agreed to take on the role of guest professor, saying “I wish there was a School of Rock when I was growing up…what a fantastic idea! I wanted to work with the students way before this but my touring schedule did not allow, so I am so excited to have this opportunity to rock out and share my experience. It will be a blast!!”
Tickets for the three shows are $5.00 for School of Rock members and $10.00 for general admission at the door.

The new RAGE album, Strings To A Web, was released in Europe on February 5th via Nuclear Blast Records, immediately entering the German pop charts at number 27, and has been receiving rave reviews from all major European press. The brilliant album will now see official North American release and distribution via Canada’s Sonic Unyon Metal on June 22nd, 2010.
The North American version of the album will be released in a special two-disc set that includes a high quality bonus DVD bearing 15 live RAGE clips and more. The main part is the “Best Of” show RAGE played at the Wacken Open Air festival 2009, including guest performances by Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), Schmier (Destruction) and Jen Majura (Black Thunder Ladies). The DVD also includes four more live clips taken from Masters Of Rock 2009 Festival and a 2009 concert in Sofia, Hungary. View the full track listing for the combo and more below.
Since 1985, German metal trio RAGE have brought their crafted style of classic heavy metal with class. Their new album Strings To A Web is a varied release, showcasing the different faces of the band; pure heavy metal thunder, classical and progressive landscapes, and powerful thrash anthems. Recorded at Twilight Hall Studio (Blind Guardian, Saxon) and produced by Victor Smolski and their long term friend Charlie Bauerfeind (Hammerfall, Helloween and more), Strings To A Web is like a journey through the history of the band, who celebrated their 25th anniversary this year. Over the past quarter century, RAGE went through many changes, but always kept to their roots and developed their incomparable style, and there is no doubt that their current lineup is the strongest yet. Peavy Wagner’s voice is the main trademark, along with the guitar wizard Victor Smolski and power drummer André Hilgers, who round out the magical trio.

Pro wrestler Chris Jericho has been tapped in to host ABC’s upcoming extreme game show “Downfall.”
Jericho is well known to wrestling fans, having been in the ring since the 1990s and winning the WWE World Championship six times.
ABC’s latest reality contest premieres June 22.
On the six-episode series, contestants try to answer questions while on the roof of a Los Angeles high-rise. Meanwhile, “the largest conveyor belt ever seen on TV” will send potential winnings (cash and prizes), the player’s personal possessions and even friends and family over the side of the building.
Jericho, repped by APA and manager Barry Bloom, will ask players questions and tempt them with various options throughout the game.
He also made his big-screen debut this summer in “MacGruber.”
ABC had the most recent breakout summer reality series two years ago with “Wipeout” and is looking to the FremantleMedia North America-produced “Downfall” to boost this summer.
“Downfall” will get a lead-in from “Wipeout” on Tuesday nights.
RATT have been forced to cancel their upcoming European tour dates. Vocalist Stephen Pearcy will be undergoing urgent hernia surgery this week. The band regrets missing the European dates on the heels of the release of their first album in eleven years, INFESTATION, which enjoyed a high chart debut in European territories.
Ratt shares this disappointment with all their European fans who planned to attend the shows at Sweden Rock, Sauna Open Air Festival, UK Download, Hellfest, Grasspop and Gods of Metal as well as their other dates. The band is looking into rescheduling as many of the shows as possible.
Pearcy’s doctors anticipate a full recovery in time for Ratt’s North American touring schedule, which includes a run with The Scorpions, beginning in July and running through September.
We wish Pearcy a speedy recovery.
