Trixter was the second band on the stage at M3, and I must admit I wasn’t very excited about seeing them play. I have seen them perform a few times in the nineties, and thought they were o.k. at best. I missed the beginning of their set, as I was in the VIP tent with Jetboy. I did make in for the second or third song of Trixter’s set.
I thought Trixter was better than I remembered them to be. Not perfect, but a fun band, and they certainly did their part to get the crowd revved up.
Last night, on my long trek home from M3 from Baltimore, I was listening to the Eddie Trunk show on The Boneyard on XM Radio. Eddie called Trixter a party band like Van Halen. I nearly wrecked my car. Did he hear the same show I did? Clearly Trixter, is nothing like Van Halen. The band did do a pretty fun set, but comparing the band to Van Halen is sacrilege.
You can view one of the clips and some pictures of the show below.

Back in the 80s they surely belonged to one of the most influential and also experimental bands of their genre. Let us be honest – Who does not remember a gem like 1986‘s “The Force”! After a long break of 13 years, ONSLAUGHT returned in 2005, due to the great demand of the fans and critics all over the world, with yet another stunning release entitled “Killing Peace” (2007). Now the time has come to give you thrash fans out there, what you have been waiting for. The band is recording a new record as we speak and it will see the light of day soon! This being said there is nothing more than to give this band a warm welcome here at AFM!
The band about the signing: ” WE’RE SO VERY STOKED TO BE JOINING THE ‘AFM RECORDS’ ROSTER, OUR DEAL WITH ‘CANDLELIGHT’ HAD EXPIRED AND AS ALWAYS ONSLAUGHT WERE LOOKING FOR A NEW CHALLENGE. THERE WERE SEVERAL LABELS INTERESTED IN SIGNING THE BAND, BUT ‘AFM’ SAID ALL THE RIGHT THINGS AND MADE ALL THE RIGHT MOVES SO IT WASN’T A HARD CHOICE. ALSO SEEING WHAT THE LABEL DID WITH THE LATEST ‘FEAR FACTORY’ ALBUM BACKED UP OUR DECISION. IT KINDA FEELS LIKE WHEN WE WERE SIGNED TO ‘MUSIC FOR NATIONS’ VERY PERSONAL AND VERY FRIENDLY ON EVERY LEVEL RIGHT UP TO THE LABEL OWNER… WE HAVE A REAL GOOD FEELING ABOUT THE NEW ALBUM RELEASE AND A VERY DISTINCTIVE VISION, AFM ARE RIGHT BEHIND THIS 110%, WE’RE GONNA MAKE A GREAT TEAM AND TOGETHER WE’RE GONNA DELIVER SOME KICK ASS NEW TUNES….”

KROKUS – Established in 1975, Krokus is a Hard Rock band synonymous with good times and Old School. Despite lineup changes within the Krokus camp over the decades, Marc Storace is the front man who has given this band it’s vocal identity. Along with being the lead vocalist for the most prominent Rock ‘N’ Roll Band ever imported from Switzerland, Marc Storace is a musician, lyricist and song writer as well. Krokus is without doubt, one of the most flamboyant, successful and commercially accessible heavy bands, to lay claim of making the 1980’s a Hard Rockin’ decade to remember.
With the classic Krokus lineup of Marc Storace, Chris Von Rohr, Fernando Von Arb, Mark Kohler and Freddy Steady reunited once again and the March 2, 2010 release of their new, critically acclaimed Hard Rock gem – Hoodoo, (released on Sony), Marc Storace and his band mates are back on top of the Hard Rock world once again. Marc took the time out of his hectic schedule recently, to talk to Hard Rock Hideout. Marc was graciously amicable and very proud of where Krokus has been, from those memorable 1980’s to present day. Here is what Marc had to say:
HRH: Can “Rock ‘N’ Roll Handshake” be considered a brotherhood song amongst the members of Krokus?
Marc: Of course it can! The lyrics are all about us. Or, the lyrics can be used for any situation where there is brotherhood. “Rock ‘N’ Roll Handshake” is breaking the fight with an old song and it symbolizes our reunion. We had done a three minute medley from our “Metal Rendezvous” album, it was on Swiss television for a show called “Biggest Swiss Hits”. This performance of this three minute medley had the studio become a ballroom of mayhem! At the end, we all slapped each other on the backs and gave each other “Rock ‘N’ Roll handshakes”! It was definitely burying the hatchet.
HRH: The power ballad in Heavy Music is either a smash or trash, there’s no in between. What is the secret formula for Krokus always landing a smash power ballad like “Ride Into The Sun”?
Marc: You have to be careful not to sound too mushy or sweet, with your emotions as a singer you have to be careful. There is a fine balance to keep emotions and let people hear the blues in the ballad. With “Ride Into The Sun” there is more of a self portrait in there with God and humankind, it’s more philosophical. Due to the tempo of this song, there is more space for emotions. Aggression always has to be done in a more powerful and gigantic way within a song. As with “Ride Into The Sun”, in the studio we do comparison testing of a song, to see if we all agree, our saying is “the zeppelin is leaving the ground”!
HRH: All eleven songs on “Hoodoo” are prime cuts and vintage Krokus. How many other songs are there that could have made it on “Hoodoo”?
Marc: Two or more at least could have made it on “Hoodoo”, you always have to be ready and have that extra bullet in your belt. Music and song writing was better in the ’60’s, ’70’s and ’80’s. As time went by, there seemed to be less and less great songs out there. It’s always better to have more great songs because you never know who is going to come knocking at the door for another. Chris Von Rohr (bass & backing vocals), produced this album. Fernando (Fernando Von Arb/lead guitarist & backing vocals) and I entrusted him to produce “Hoodoo”. The whole album has a big and warm sound and feel to it. Traditional and classical amps were used to capture the right sound, Fender and Les Paul. “Hoodoo” was done on analog, 32 tracks. Dennis Ward, our engineer, worked this new album like easy meat with Pro Tools. With Chris’s guidance and Dennis’s engineering, a lot was done in one afternoon’s work.
HRH: Can America expect a Krokus tour in 2010?
Marc: The important question for us is, can supply meet demand? Honestly, it takes a lot of time and money to fly over to America. This time around, we are building our tour in Europe for the first time and we’ll take it from there. There was the time years ago, where we started our tour in America. If we can sell a lot of albums in America and the demand is there for us, then that would be great. We can never forget how good the U.S.A. has been to Krokus, American fans made Krokus in the ’80’s.
HRH: “Too Hot” is an all-out, pump-you-up and psyche-you-out, Hard Rockin’ song. Who or what was the inspiration for this unreal cool song?
Marc: Actually, this is the only song that I composed alone at home with my guitar. I had two sets of lyrics and two sets of ideas that I took to the band. Chris and Fernando got involved with the music, while Mark (Mark Kohler/rhythm guitarist) worked on the title and chorus. “Too Hot” took on a totally different shape at the end. We kept the chorus and the main skeleton of the lyrics throughout though. Fernando and Chris caught onto this song right away. “Too Hot” will be our second music video! It’s a trashy video, if you like. A gorilla/student video team made it for us, it was a chance of a lifetime for them to get their career off the ground. The video was shot at a big bike festival in Alsfeld, Germany. There was ten different takes on this video, it was amazing. It was a good time hanging out with biker fans. The “Too Hot” video has hot girls, hot bikes and hot Rock ‘N’ Roll!
HRH: Check out the “Too Hot” video below!
HRH: “Born To Be Wild” is yet another memorable and Hard Rockin’ cover song by Krokus. Would you and the band ever consider doing an all covers album?
Marc: I don’t think it’s the “in thing” to do in the industry. We do have a collection of cover songs though, that we play when there is time to kill. These songs were great to play in the very beginning of our reunion, they got our spirits high and helped us get that feel of each other again. We jammed to The Who, Free, Led Zeppelin and the Beatles. These bands are all in common with us five band members and there are lot’s of songs from them we all love, it’s like, which one’s do we play actually? I need a lot of room to endow a song with my ideas while not destroying it either. I like to take a song a step further through energy and rearrangement. Some songs are almost too holy to cover, like a sacrilege to cover, “Stairway To Heaven” is a good example.
HRH: With the classic Krokus lineup reunited and your new album “Hoodoo” kicking the fans asses worldwide, after thirty years is this the best of times for Krokus?
Marc: Let’s say so far we want to keep it going! Since we released “Hoodoo” we have had gold and platinum selling success. In eight weeks since the European release we have had great concerts, with four sold out ice hockey stadiums. The Krokus reunion is like a team of music. This is the 1982 “One Vice At A Time” lineup doing it again and it’s not to be taken for granted. Were humbled. We are a really a Blues Rock Band and Krokus has been faithful to this all these years. Back in the 1980’s, the music was colorful, melodic and people were happy. Krokus was a part of that. The 1980’s was a magical time, Krokus shared the charts with Michael Jackson, with his “Thriller” album being #1 and that was amazing! Going through the whole musical scene back then, things were really happening and it was the zenith of our career. Looking back on the “Headhunter” album and touring with Def Leppard, filling out stadiums, it was the Old School days. The ’80’s was the land of freedom for Krokus in America!
Frontiers Records will release on August 27th 2010 in Europe and September 14th in the USA the new album from FIRST SIGNAL, a new exciting Melodic Rock studio project presenting the alliance between two well known faces in the scene: Canadian singer Harry Hess (ex Harem Scarem) and producer/bassist Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Khymera etc.).
The concept behind this recording is to bring back the classic Harem Scarem sound which after the band decision to split is very much missed by many fans. Records such as “Mood Swings” and “Weight of the World” are regarded as true masterpiece albums and they were the inspiration behind the First Signal songs which of course are also open to some new twists and interpretations.” The record is very reminiscent of the songs I grew up listening to and fit my vocal style”, says Harry “It definitely reminds me of the songs we were writing very early on in Harem Scarem. I haven’t been involved with anything even close to this style musically since Harem Scarem, so it was a lot of fun for me and if the fans really like it I’m sure there’ll be a future First Signal!”
Harem Scarem have displayed throughout their 12 official studio albums a vast array of styles, from AOR, to Arena Hard Rock and Power Pop in the “Rubber” years. Still the fans have always asked the band to go back to a guitar riffs oriented sound which melted the influences from the Melodic Metal of the 80’s with more contemporary sounds.
A great team of songwriters, including brothers Tom and James Martin (Khymera, Sunstorm, House of Lords), Erik Martensson (W.E.T., Eclipse), Ronny Milianowicz (Saint Deamon), Robert Sall (W.E.T., Work of Art) and Mark Baker (Signal, House of Lords) among others, had the task to recreate that magic sound, which is now back in all its glory thanks to a monster vocal performance from Harry and a crisp production and arrangement work from Dennis Ward.
Other musicians on the album include Chris Schmidt on drums, Michael Klein on guitars and Eric Ragno on keyboards and the necessary background vocals contribution from the other ex Harem Scarem member Darren Smith.
“First Signal” final tracklisting includes the following tracks: This City; When You Believe; Part of Me; Crazy; Goodbye To The Old Times; First Signal; Feels Like Love; Into the Night: When November Falls; Yesterday Rain; Naked Desire.
The songs “This City” and “Yesterday Rain” can exclusively be listened in full in streaming on the Frontiers Web radio from June 21st. Tune in at: www.frontiers.it/webradio
Harry Hess: lead and background vocals
Darren Smith: background vocals
Dennis Ward: bass, background vocals, guitars

Jetboy made their 2nd appearance at the M3 Festival, and much like last year, the band put on one kick ass show. This year they opened up the festival on the main stage. They played all of their new tunes from their recently released EP, Off Your Rocker, including “Going Down Above the Clouds”, “Dogs Gotta Roam”, “Perfectly Wrong”, and several of their classics including “Heavy Chevy”, “High Gear”, “Evil”, and “Feel the Shake”. After the show, I met up with the Jetboy in the VIP Tent, and got to meet the band’s newest members, Jesse Mendez, and Jes Reckless, as well as Mickey Finn, Fernie Rod, and Billy Rowe.
Jetboy is a great band live. If you missed them at the festival, you missed out on a great show. They were easily one of the best bands at M3. Jetboy doesn’t get to the east coast much, so you have to take advantage of the times they are here! Their next festival appearance will be at the Midwest Rock Festival in Wichita, Kansas on Saturday July 24th, with the bands Y&T, Black N’ Blue, XYZ, Twisted Sister, Winger, Bang Tango, Icarus Witch, Toxin, and Kix.
You can check out the clip “Going Down Above the Clouds” below!
Megadeth‘s new track called “Sudden Death”, which will serve as the finger-busting finale to the forthcoming Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock game can now be heard in its entirety online. Dave Mustaine tells RollingStone.com the track is brutal, and the song has a “funky kind of polyrhythm to it” which will make it even more difficult for the Guitar Hero elite. “Just the sheer repetitiveness of it can blow people’s minds”. Listen to “Sudden Death” in IGN Entertainment‘s live demo of the game below.
The Angels of Babylon’s debut album “Kingdom of Evil” featuring Megadeth’s David Ellefson will be released in the United States on July 27th by Burnhill Union Records!!!!The U.S. version will include all new artwork and two (2) brand new bonus songs! For more information on The Angels of Babylon, check out the band’s myspace page.
Today is the M3 Festival!! Bang Tango, ZO2, Jetboy, Kix, Winger, L.A. Guns, Nelson, Warrant, Trixter, Vince Neil, Cinderella and Scorpions. While I am excited about this show, I have been looking more forward to seeing the Scorpions play live. With this show being part of their farewell tour, it makes their appearance at M3 extra special to me. We will be tweeting from the show today at www.twitter.com/hardrockhideout
Check out the clips from the Scorpions below!
It’s not uncommon for a musician to record more work than they release. In Vai’s case, the Grammy® award-winning guitarist has a digital ocean of snippets in various degrees of completion. Some are leftovers from assorted sessions, projects that were never completed, soundcheck jams, or songs that were specific to a particular venture. “There are enough lonely, unreleased notes in my world to fill an infinity shelf,” says Vai. In between composing new scores for his upcoming performance with the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, Vai has transformed these snippets into full, lush songs and these rarities are being released as a series of single digital downloads called VaiTunes.
Each release comes with a PDF booklet containing detailed notes about the creation of the song, the story behind the recording, and gear involved. The latest release from the series, “The Moon and I” evolved from a soundcheck jam in Athens, Greece in the spring of 2000. The PDF liner notes allow the listener to follow Vai as he birthed the chord changes in Greece and subsequently watered and fertilized the song ten years later half way around the world in his Encino studio. Equally fascinating is the story of the guitar used to finish “The Moon and I.” Under unique circumstances, Vai recently purchased an original Desert Yellow Ibanez JEM 777DY guitar, a guitar he designed in 1987, from a local pawnshop and named the guitar “Moon.”
Vai plans to offer one track every month or so, each one representing a unique moment in his personal musical history. The releases can be purchased via iTunes and other digital music providers worldwide through www.vai.com/vaitunes.

During the late 90’s, the L.A. Guns were in a constant state of change. When Phil Lewis refused to reunite with L.A. Guns, the band employed the help of current Steel Panther front man Ralph Saenz (aka Michael Starr). This little known EP features four new songs, a redo of the L.A. Guns hit, “Ballad of Jayne”, and a cover of the KISS classic, “Cold Gin”.
I have mixed feelings about this EP. For me, Phil Lewis is THE VOICE of L.A. Guns. End of story. In the years when Phil wasn’t singing in the band, L.A. Guns tried several singers, but none ever really lived up to Phil Lewis. With that being said, Ralph Saenz sounds pretty good on this EP. None of the songs on this CD are earth shattering, but it is still interesting to hear Tracii Guns play with Saenz on vocals. Tracii’s guitar work is great as always. He especially shines on the song, “Forgiving Eyes”.
The band’s redone version of “Ballad of Jayne” is a lot better than I expected it to be. It sounds like Tracii tuned his guitar down a little for this version of song. This version is slightly different, but cool nonetheless. Saenz does a pretty good job on the vocals on this L.A. Guns classic.
The cover of the Kiss song “Cold Gin” is better than I expected it to be. Saenz cuts loose with some 80’s hard rock screams on this song. Instead of trying to do a Gene Simmons impersonation, he adds his own flair to this cover.
This CD is out of print and very hard to find. I wouldn’t consider Wasted essential, but it is an in interesting glimpse into the history of L.A. Guns. This CD is probably for Die hard L.A. Guns fans only!
Rating: Out of 10
2. Well Spent
3. Heavy Head
4. Forgiving Eyes
5. Jayne 98
6. Cold Gin
L.A. Guns is:
Ralph Saenz – vocals
Tracii Guns – guitars and vocals
Johnny Crypt – bass and vocals

I will never forget the first time that I saw Cinderella perform live back in 1987. They opened for Bon Jovi on the Slippery When Wet Tour. Quite frankly, I thought Cinderella blew Bon Jovi off of the stage. Bon Jovi was experiencing massive success with Slippery When Wet, and Jon Bon Jovi acted like it on stage. Meanwhile, Cinderella was the up and coming band, and they were hungry, and they played like it. The band had a lot of energy, and were awesome to see live. I have seen them several times since that day, and they have never disappointed me. I am very excited to see the band play again on Saturday night at the M3 Rock Festival. Obviously, the guys don’t look the same, but they still sound the same. To me, Tom Keifer still has one of the best voices in rock. I am still hopeful that we will have a new Cinderella CD someday. Hopefully they can work out their contract issues and get it done! Check out the classic Cinderella video, “Somebody Save Me” below.

Vince Neil’s new CD Tattoos & Tequila will be out next Tuesday the 22nd of June, but you can listen to it early! Iheartradio.com has the full album stream of Tattoos & Tequila now!
It is no real surprise that the Compact Disc is dying a slow death. The digital age of music is here, and illegal downloads have been killing CD sales everywhere.
I have been noticing as of late a shrinking amount of retail space in my local stores where CDs are sold. Around Christmas time, Best Buy started shrinking down their CD retail space for a row of iTunes gift cards., and books. Recently, Walmart took their music dept down in my local store from four aisles to one. Hot Topics never really had a huge CD section, but they have eliminated their CD retail section, with a digital ordering system (the CD is mailed to your house).
Soon the only place you will be able to buy your compact discs are with the independent records dealers, online or in expensive mall stores. A lot of folks like to download their music, either through iTunes or other e-tailers. Personally, I would prefer the option to still buy a CD. I like being able to open the digipack or compact disc, and read the booklet, and song lyrics. I also like the bonus material, and DVD’s that have been included with some of the newer releases.
I soon fear that music featured at Hard Rock Hideout.com and other hard rock and metal sites will soon become impossible to find in most music retailers. Illegal downloads have all but guaranteed that the only thing you will soon find in the big box retailers are the bland pop releases, and the latest Hannah Montana or Jonas Brothers CDs.
If you can’t find the CD’s we review at HRH in your local store, please try one of our sponsors online, or look in our online music store section below.
When Vince Neil takes the stage at the M3 Rock Festival on Saturday Night, three things are almost guaranteed.
- Motley Crue Songs will be performed.
- Vince Neil will forget some lyrics.
- Vince Neil will do his new song “Tattoos & Tequila” .
Nonetheless, I am sure Vince’s live show will be a blast, and I am looking forward to it.
Check out the clip of Vince Neil’s latest video, “Tattoos & Tequila” below.

Classic Rock Magazine is reporting that the surviving members of Heaven And Hell will play Classic Rock’s High Voltage festival with special guest vocalists, as a tribute to their late front man Ronnie James Dio.
On May 16, Dio passed away and the world mourned the loss of the greatest voice of heavy metal.
Heaven And Hell were set to be on the road in Europe this summer when news came through that despite the amazing progress he was making Ronnie wouldn’t be well enough to tour and those shows were cancelled.
But now, remaining members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice are set to play a one-off show to celebrate Dio’s life and work at Classic Rock’s High Voltage festival.
The band will be completed by Glenn Hughes and Jorn Lande, who will both contribute vocals.
Former Deep Purple/Black Sabbath star Glenn Hughes was a close friend of Ronnie’s for many years and performed a musical tribute at Ronnie’s funeral service in Los Angeles.
Norwegian Jorn Lande is best known in the UK as the vocalist for power-metal band Masterplan; he has also released many solo albums including a tribute to Ronnie.
Heaven And Hell bassist Geezer Butler says:
“It’s going to be a very emotional occasion. Ronnie loved his fans like no one else I know – and they loved him. It will be a privilege doing a gig in honour of his memory, and to help towards his charity. Above all, I hope it encourages people to have regular check-ups for this disease. Early detection is vital, and greatly improves the chance of a cure. I know everyone has heard that a million times before, but seeing one of your best friends die because we all think we’re immune from this disease, really brings it home. Do it for yourself, your family, your friends. Ronnie would be proud of you.”
Guitarist Tony Iommi adds:
“Ronnie’s passing has left a huge hole, we hadn’t anywhere near finished what we set out to do as a band together. He was so looking forward to the European tour and we hope this appearance will go some way to fulfilling that.”
There follows details of the Ronnie James Dio ‘Stand Up And Shout’ Cancer Fund Programme:
* The fund is committed to the early detection and prevention of cancer through facilitating access to medical screening and medical educational programmes.
* The fund supports programs designed to integrate medical knowledge into local communities such as cancer screening programs, education on nutrition in cancer prevention, exercise and overall wellness.
* The goal of the fund is to reduce the risk of developing life threatening cancers by offering access to preventative medical services.
* Furthering the commitment for patients to access to quality medical care related to cancer, the fund seeks to assist families burdened by the cost of caring for loved ones with cancer.

DANZIG HITS THE ROAD
Special Nine City Tour to Usher in the Release of Deth Red Sabaoth Begins
Three In-Store Signings June 19, 21, and 24
DANZIG: DETH RED SABOTH
(The End Records; June 22)
Fans can also meet Glenn Danzig at three in-store autograph signings to be held around the tour, included Saturday June 19 at Vintage Vinyl in NJ, Monday, June 21 at Newbury Comics in Boston, MA, and Thursday, June 24 at Record Exchange in Boise, Idaho. See the tour itinerary below for more information.
Danzig plans to dig deep into his career-defining catalogue and perform tracks from Danzig, Lucifuge, How the Gods Kill, and on up to the present, including several new songs from Deth Red Sabaoth. “Danzig fans have their own favorites from throughout the years,” said Glenn, “and I hope the set list we put together will satisfy everyone.”
Deth Red Sabaoth, which marks Danzig’s ninth studio venture that began back in 1988 with the Rick Rubin-produced, Platinum-certified Danzig, is an 11-track collection penned by Danzig, and is laced with Glenn’s lycanthropic growls and blues-infected wailing. Tracks including “Black Candy, “The Revengeful,” and “On A Wicked Night,” emit a spectral glow to rival the highest points in Danzig’s colossal discography. Part I of the exquisite two-part “Pyre of Souls” opens with acoustic guitar, haunting piano, Glenn’s plainsong vocal, and an almost dirge-like feel; Part II explodes with electric guitars and a driving, mesmerizing cadence.
In addition to the upcoming Deth Red Sabaoth, Danzig has just published a book of select, previously unreleased Misfits, Danzig, and Samhaim lyrics, titled “Hidden Lyrics of the Left Hand” (Verotik). The book features illustrations by Simon Bisley, who has painted numerous album covers for Danzig and collaborated on many Verotik comic titles.
Glenn Danzig has received many titles, from the Godfather of Dark Metal to a punk pioneer to a man of integrity, but most agree that over his near-30-year career, his intense musical and lyrical statements have left a permanent mark on rock music. He is a gifted songwriter, and his songs have been covered by such diverse artists as Johnny Cash, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Roy Orbison, just to name a few. His “13,” originally written for Johnny Cash and then recorded for Glenn’s own Satan’s Child, was the opening song in last year’s box office smash and Golden Globe winner, “The Hangover.” Danzig’s music is dark, gothic, and haunting, and continues to influence generation after generation of musicians and music fans across the globe.

Emmy Award winning recording artist and Melodic Rock icon Stan Bush will release via Frontiers Records in Europe his brand new studio album entitled “Dream The Dream” on August 27th.
“Dream the Dream” is Stan Bush 11th studio album and is destined to set in stone the singer/songwriter artistic abilities and taste for writing and performing nothing but classy music. With powerful melodies that have made Stan a popular singer/performers in the melodic rock community, “Dream The Dream” is another gem that will please his old and newer fans. “We’ve been working on the new album for a year and a half, and I’m very happy with it” says Bush, “The last album, “In This Life” got great reviews and though we had to work really hard, I think we’ve got ourselves another amazing album. Some of the songs have a ‘go for it’ message, and some are about love, life and a search for meaning”.
Producer and guitarist Holger Fath again helped Stan shape his creativity even though songwriters on the album include, apart from Stan and Holger, Bobby Barth (Axe, Blackfoot), Curt Cuomo (KISS, Eddie Money), Ed Tree and Lenny Macaluso. “I was honored to again work with Holger Fath as producer/guitarist (and also keys)” tells Stan, ”I think he’s brilliant and he’s been a close friend for years. On drums, Matt Laug (Alice Cooper, Slash), is one of the best rock drummers in L.A. And on bass, Matt Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Rick Springfield) is incredibly solid”.
Apart from writing and recording albums, tracks from Stan’s previous albums have appeared in several major films. He won an Emmy Award in 1997 for Best Original Song. As a vocalist, Stan has sung on albums by established artists such as Alice Cooper and Jefferson Starship and has worked with many top producers (Ron Nevison, Giorgio Moroder, Andy Johns, Mick Jones, Desmond Child, Peter Frampton, Paul Stanley, Richie Zito). He has co-written with many of top songwriters like Jonathan Cain (Journey), Jim Vallance (Bryan Adams; Aerosmith), and Paul Stanley of KISS. Stan’s songs have received covers from many notable bands. “Love Don’t Lie” was covered by House of Lords, and “Slave To Love” was recorded by Quiet Riot.
