Video – Saxon – Killing Ground

Is Saxon one of the most under rated of heavy metal bands of all time?  In my opinion, yes they are.  Saxon has been flying the heavy metal flag since 1976, and yet aren’t anywhere near as appreciated as their NWOBHM counterparts Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, or Judas Priest.  Maybe they haven’t had the hits that these other bands have had, but there is a huge catalog of music worth exploring.  Check out the title track from the 2001 album Killing Ground below.

Having worked with Graham Oliver, I’m probably biased, no…make that DEFINITELY biased! – but I would heartily recommend “Solid Ball of Rock” and “Dogs of War”. The Son of a Bitch album also had two real standout metal tracks – “Bitch of a Place to be” and the title track,”Victim You”.
