Alter Bridge continues to climb up the charts with their single, “Isolation”, off of their latest release ABIII. “Isolation” is currently at #2 on the Active and Mainstream Rock Charts and is setting its sights on the top spot. Showcasing the band’s ability to play and write aggressively while maintaining their signature melodic component, the single has been Top 10 on major radio stations across the country. ABIII was self-released on Alter Bridge recordings via EMI label services and debuted at #17 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
Coinciding with the band’s chart success of “Isolation” and ABIII, DC3 Music Group and Alter Bridge are gearing up to release their long-awaited DVD and live CD, Alter Bridge – Live From Amsterdam. Rumored for release multiple times in the US in 2010, the DVD finally sees the light of day stateside on January 11th, 2011. The US and UK release of single-disc version of the DVD landed at #1 on the Amazon US and UK the same day being released in 2009. Directed & Produced by Award-Winning Director Daniel E Catullo III (Rush, Rage Against The Machine, Godsmack) the DVD was recorded during the band’s 2008 Blackbird tour, the DVD showcases some of the band’s most memorable hits including “Rise Today,” ”Metalingus,” “Open Your Eyes,” and “Broken Wings.” The DVD also showcases two extremely captivating performances by the band: the 8- minute opus “Blackbird” and an emotionally charged solo performance of “Watch Over You.” The Deluxe Box set includes 2 discs- a DVD with the full show/ documentary and a live CD. The packaging also includes a 16 page color book. The DVD will also be available in Blu-Ray at the same time.
Alter Bridge is currently on their first US tour in three years. The tour kicked off in Grand Rapids, MI on December 10th, and the 12 city trek runs through the holiday season and makes stops in major markets including New York, Dallas, Chicago and Baltimore before wrapping up in Houston on January 8th. This is just the warm-up run before the band’s full US tour this spring.
