  1. Dear Steven,

I read your book and this is what I got out of it. First of all, I hate those managers, and anyone else who lead you into working yourself to almost death. Also, through everything I read, this is what I know about you. You are an honest, decent person and have not done anything most of us didn’t try. The only thing is with all the pressure you had, it went a little further. You are a wonderful person, and very intelligent. I wish you the best!!!! I will not watch American Idol without you there…..You were the show and such a great and sincere judge. Love you Steven

  2. Steven, please write a song about my devastation and slow healing journey, regarding the sickness and death of my son, to cancer. I would only trust this to you. eve

  3. Steve, there will no longer be a requirement in my life to watch “American Idol”. You WERE the most interesting part of the show…will miss you so much it will be hard to watch without your being there. Best of luck with your change. Surely wish someone could convenience you to stay! You were awesome!!!!

  4. Hi Steven, I read your book and found it insightfull. Getting sober and staying there can be a tough one. I want to let you know that I thought you and the rest of the band got sober in the 80s and stayed sober. It was a great inspiration to me. I thought if Aerosmith can do it so can. I’ve got 15 years now but I guess we’re never really out of the woods are we. I grew up playing in rock n roll bands so some of your experiences growing up in bands I could relate to. Not to many have had your success but I say you guys are the greatest rock n roll band I’ve ever seen. You rock like a modern day Yardbirds and have melodies and chords like the Beatles. Good job. You mentioned Buddy Miles in your book. I worked with Buddy in the mid 80s. My partner and wrote and recorded about 2 albums worth of material with Buddy. If you can check out Buddy Miles “Anna” on youtube.
I’ll at your concert in Oakland Ca. in August. looking forward to it.

  5. Steven, I read your book, and it was quite interesting. Thanks for being so painfully honest! Some stuff, well, I didn’t need to know. But well, it is what is is! I love your music and I’m not your typical heavy rock person! But you are incredible! Even at your “distinguished” age, is that a word we can use, you still have it! And YOU make Aerosmith! They need you! Oh, so much more I’d like to say…….concerning your deep spiritual side! It is good to know that you do consider such things, but our views do conflict. I’d love to discuss these things, but I’m just a Steven Tyler fan, and your you, Steven Tyler, the fantastic, talented rock star! But I would like to say, I believe the good Lord has spared your life for a reason! Because you know it’s truly amazing that your still alive! Please be sure you get on the right, true path to freedom and eternal security, before it’s to late! Life really is short! May the Lord draw you to Him (notice, I said Him!) remember heaven is real but unfortunately, do is he’ll! And it’s no joke! May God be with you! I hope to see your concert in Detroit on July 5th.
    Lynn
