“Ain’t No Love in The Heart of The City” In the Lincoln Lawyer
Last night, my wife and I had a date night, and went to see the movie The Lincoln Lawyer with Matthew McConaughey. The movie was good, but the opening of the film got me thinking about Whitesnake. The beginning of the movie opened up with the song, “Ain’t No Love In The Heart of the City”. This is an old song written by Michael Price and Dan Walsh, and first recorded by the Bobby Blue Band. It was the Bobby Blue Band version that was in the movie.
The first time I ever heard this song was the far superior Whitesnake version that was on the classic and hard to find Whitesnake EP, Snakebite.
Have you heard both versions of the song? Which one do you prefer?

Excuse me for my badly language ! i don’t speak english. I prefere the version of Bobby blue. But you have an another version of Vaya con dios in the album “The Promise” she’s very good too. And you are a very good blog !!! Bravo
Im 15 and listen to alternative and new rock but I heard this song in The Lincoln Lawyer and had to find out what it was. Cant say which one i like better, each has its own similar style but the orginal guys voice has more soul for sure
No way man! The opening moments of the Bobby Bland version wraps you in a kickin’ groove that recalls the feel of steaming black asphalt, idling engines in a jam, thumping tunes from a car stereo on a hot summer’s day in an overcrowded metropolis…
Sadly I can´t watch the clips they are blocked by EMI for my country. Great blog´BTW!
