Judas Priest – The Chosen Few (2011)
Greatest Hits collections can be a dime a dozen. All of the big hard rock acts have them, and bands like Poison, have several of them. What separates Judas Priest’s The Chosen Few from the rest? Judas Priest had some of the biggest names in rock select the songs for this 17 song compilation. The songs on this collection were picked out by Alice Cooper, Slash, David Coverdale, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Joe Elliott, Lemmy, Zakk Wylde and more. Not only will you find some of the biggest hits from Judas Priest, but you will also find deeper cuts like “Dissident Aggressor”, “Delivering The Goods” and “The Sentinel”. There are some tracks that got left out that I would have included. Tracks like “Freewheel Burning”, and “Electric Eye” are obviously missing, but the core of Judas Priest’s best tunes are all represented here.
If you are a casual fan of Judas Priest, and don’t own their entire catalog of music (like me), The Chosen Few offers fans a great collection of Judas Priest’s music. At less than a buck a song, The Chosen Few is definitely a greatest hits collection worth owning.
