MULTI-PLATINUM GROUP KICK OFF NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1
WITH A SOLD-OUT SHOW IN TORONTO

THE DARKNESS are coming!

The multi-platinum British group has reunited and is ready to storm North America with their electrifying and outrageous rock n’ roll. On Wednesday, February 1, THE DARKNESS–original members JUSTIN HAWKINS (vocals/guitars), DAN HAWKINS (guitars/backing vocals), FRANKIE POULLAIN (bass) and ED GRAHAM (drums)–will debut “Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us,” their first new song in six years. The song and video will premiere on www.RollIingStone.com at 9:00 AM EST and be available on the band’s official site www.theactualdarkness.com. Fans have waited patiently since THE DARKNESS last released material in 2006, and “Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us” will be available for free as a “Thank you” for all who’ve supported the band with sold-out tours on both sides of the Atlantic. The video for the song was created by artist Thom Lessner and director Ted Passon–and it was worth the wait. Check out a sneak-peek of the artwork here:

Also on February 1, THE DARKNESS kick-off their first North American tour since 2004 to a sold-out crowd in Toronto and wrapping February 25 in Seattle; the dates are below, with the majority of them sold-out in advance. After winning three prestigious BRIT Awards, rocking sold-out crowds across the globe and selling millions of records worldwide, the group has established quite a formidable legacy in less than a decade. The new tour features all the guitar mastery and electrifying performances that THE DARKNESS are well-known for. The group will perform music from 2003’s multi-platinum album Permission To Land, including favorites “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” and “Get Your Hands Off My Woman”; 2005’s One-Way Ticket To Hell And Back with “One Way Ticket” and “Is It Just Me?”; as well as several new songs off their forthcoming yet-to-be-titled third album.

Watch THE DARKNESS performing “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” with Queen guitarist Brian May at their sold-out Hammersmith Apollo show this past November 2011.
