Classic Rock and Metal Podcast February 2012 Episode Available

The February edition of the CLASSIC ROCK AND METAL PODCAST is available for streaming at www.classicrockpodcast.com and for download through iTunes.

This month Glenn Tipton from Judas Priest talks about the band’s Epitaph World Tour, new guitarist Richie Faulkner and the band’s 40-year legacy now celebrated with new single and album box set releases.

Biff Byford from Saxon checks in with a summary of the band’s incredible last 12 months discussing their recent studio album, Call To Arms, rightly celebrated as their finest for years, and touring Europe twice in the same calendar year of 2011.

Venom have been around for more than 30 years now and recently released a new album, Fallen Angels through Universal. Original frontman Cronos gives his forthright views on why they have been so influential and why a whole new audience is finding out what Venom is all about. We speak to him and relative new boys Rage and Dante.

Finally we speak to David Phillips, a man who armed with his trusty digital camera has photographed pretty much every rock drummer you could ever wish to see – from some angles you’ve definitely never seen! It helps that he’s in charge of artist relations for DW Drums so he has the kind of stage access even we can only dream of.

Music comes from all the above plus Slash and Van Halen and there’s a brief news and new release roundup too.
