Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of HARDLINE’s new studio album entitled “Danger Zone” on May 18th in Europe and May 22nd in North America.
Following the release of “Leaving The End Open”, HARDLINE’s mastermind and singer Johnny Gioeli did not realistically feel that another HARDLINE album would have seen the light of day sometime soon. It was again thanks to the insistence of Frontiers Records President Serafino Perugino that the concept came about once again “I love surprises and this was certainly one of them”, says Gioeli. “Each time I decide to close the door on Hardline, I get the itch to continue”.
Fate wanted that when Perugino sent Gioeli some song demos written by Alessandro Del Vecchio (an Italian musician and producer know for his work with Edge of Forever and Eden’s Curse but also with Axe, Mitch Malloy, Bobby Kimball and several other top musicians and bands), the singer became excited once again and wanted to give it another go.
“Ale is one talented brotha…” tells Johnny, “he plays, writes, sings, engineers, produces and mixes… He’s like the golden goose handed to me. More than all the talent he has, he is an example of a great human in many many ways. I look forward to making more music with Ale. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s Italian too!” Alessandro Del Vecchio says: “I feel humbled but at the same time excited as never before. I grew up with Double Eclipse, which I bought when I was 13, so it’s really a combination of feelings. The whole thing started so naturally that I feel like me and Johnny have been knowing each other for years. Our goal was to match the superb quality of that milestone of a debut and we worked hard to get to it, but we also wanted this record to be a shift and the truthful mirror of this “new” life for Hardline”. And, according to Gioeli “I think all of the Hardline records have a magic about them… this one certainly holds a more commercial pop sound to its heartbeat. I love it.”
So now Hardline have been completed with a European based lineup featuring Francesco Jovino (UDO), Thorsten Koehne (Code Of Perfection, Eden’s Curse) and Anna Portalupi (Mitch Malloy).
“I would absolutely LOVE to tour with these guys. I think the fans would be quite surprised when they hear this band….like a good solid kick in the teeth” concludes Gioeli and certainly discussions are ongoing to have finally Hardline play some dates around Europe in support of this exciting new release.
“Danger Zone” tracklisting includes:
Fever Dreams; 10.000 Reasons; Danger Zone; What I’d Like; Stronger Than Me; Never Too Late For Love; Stay; I Don’t Want To Breakaway; Look At You Now; Please Have Faith In Me; Show Me Your Love; The Only One.
Hardline was formed when brothers Johnny (vocals) and Joey (guitar) Gioeli, originally from the band Brunette, teamed up with Journey/Bad English guitarist Neal Schon. The original plan was for Neal to produce Hardline, but as he was having so much fun that he decided to join the band as soon as he left Bad English.
They immediately added established musicians Todd Jensen (David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper) on bass and Deen Castronovo (also coming from Bad English) on drums to the mix and the result was magnificent. They went on to record their debut album “Double Eclipse” for MCA in 1992 and then went on the tour circuit with such heavy hitters as Van Halen and Mr. Big.
The first single from “Double Eclipse” was the song “Hot Cherie”. While never popular in the mainstream, various radio stations worldwide started to play it and Hardline’s fanbase started to grow. They released a video to MTV, but did not get much airplay. By that time grunge and alternative had already taken over and Melodic Rock was being pushed aside. Tension among band members, the record company and perhaps certain egos, got in the way of an immediate follow-up album, despite the band having written more than enough material.
While Neal re-started his adventure with Journey in 1995 (again together with Deen Castronovo), Johnny stepped out of the music business eventually to return as Axel Rudi Pell’s singer in 1998 on the album “Oceans Of Time”.
But years later Johnny and his brother Joey were ready to give it another go with Hardline after the call of Frontiers Records, and with an all new line-up they produced the awesome return album “II” in 2002 with Josh Ramos (of The Storm and Two Fires fame) taking Neal Schon’s place on lead guitar.
Hailed by critics and fans alike as a top return, the band returned on stage headlining the GODS Festival in Bradford in June 2002, before Johnny and Josh started to work on new songs which eventually saw the light of day on the “Leaving the End Open” album released on Frontiers in may 2009.

Western Australian band Project X have released their first video clip from their acclaimed album “D Generation”, for the slow burning metal ballad ‘Alive’.
Expertly directed by Hugh Buttsworth, the video features performance footage cut with a storyline with a clever twist in the tail – we can’t give anymore away than that without spoiling it for the viewers!
The dramatic roles are taken by the vivacious Jess Truscott, Leon Todd of rising melodic rockers RAGDOLL (Leon also features heavily on the album “D Generation”) and the sultry Yvonne Mitchell.
Project X singer Matt Williams said “Hugh, along with everyone in front and behind the camera, has worked really hard to help us realize our vision for the ‘Alive’ clip. It’s currently our most downloaded track on iTunes, and seems to be voted the most popular on our song poll amongst our listeners. We’re thrilled by the end result, which has exceeded our expectations tremendously.”
The video features haunting footage shot in Fremantle Cemetary, alongside further storyline footage filmed in and around The Grand Boulevard Tavern, Joondalup, plus performance footage of the band shot at Elite Rehearsal Studios.
Guitarist and singer Sandra Calvezzi enjoyed reprising her guest appearance on the song for the video, “Working with Hugh was an enjoyable experience. Awesome director and he captured the storyline perfectly.
Thanks to Rick, Matt and all involved – I had a blast being part of ‘Project X’!”
Project X’s album “D-Generation” can be purchased through the usual
digital outlets, or from
My Darkest Days….are they a pop band, rock band or something in between? I don’t know how to classify them. The song “Casual Sex” is not a hard rock tune, but the band is usually touring with the latest hard rock acts, so My Darkest Days stays on my radar. This may not be a hard rock song, but this video is hot! Enjoy!
The Motley Crue / KISS tour sale kicks off this morning at 10:00 A.M. (Pre-sale started yesterday). To celebrate what is arguably the biggest hard rock tour of 2012, here are five videos from KISS & Motley Crue! Let the party begin! Get your tickets here!!
From Yngwie Malmsteen, Talisman, Eyes & even Skrapp Mettle, I have been listening to Jeff Scott Soto for what seems like forever. I have enjoyed every musical project and band he has been involved with. One thing is for certain, Mr. Soto doesn’t know how to put out a bad release. Needless to say, it was almost predestined that I would enjoy Jeff’s latest effort, Damage Control.
On Damage Control, Jeff Scott Soto doesn’t reinvent the wheel, and he doesn’t need to. Soto delivers his excellent and severely underrated vocals to another batch of great melodi, hard rock tunes. Chances are if you have enjoyed the music of JSS in the past, you are going to like Damage Control a lot. The CD is 100 % quality rock and roll, and it does not disappoint.
I prefer the harder edged numbers on the CD, “Krazy World”, “Afterworld”, and “Damage Control”. These songs are good, but they are not the best songs on Damage Control.
The opening song “Give a Little More” has a pretty good message, and is a great song too. “How To Love Again” is as close to melodic rock perfection as it gets. This song is easily one Jeff Scott Soto’s best tunes.
“Bonafide” is a massive ballad that should get tons of airplay everywhere. “Look Inside Your Heart” is another excellent song (see video below) that has been getting a ton of replays from me.
Overall, Damage Control is another outstanding album from Jeff Scott Soto that is going to please the majority of his fans. You should make a point to check it out, when it is released on March 27th.
If you buy any version of this CD, make sure you get the Deluxe Edition, which had three extra bonus tracks (“Afraid to Die”, “Take U Down”, and “Elena”) which are not on the standard version. You can pre-order Damage Control at this link!

Another Night of Passion is available for pre-order on AMAZON.
25 years after the release of the legendary “Night Of Passion” album, German hard rock band MAD MAX returns with the original lineup – Michael Voss (lead vocals, lead guitars), Jürgen Breforth (rhythm guitars), Roland Bergmann (bass, vocals) and Axel Kruse (drums) – and a new studio album, Another Night Of Passion, due on March 27, 2012 via SPV/Steamhammer. The CD was recorded at the Kidroom Studio, which is owned by Michael Voss and where albums from Michael Schenker, VENGEANCE and Gary Barden were previously produced. The cover artwork was designed by the Belgian artist Eric Philippe (RHAPSODY, TNT) and the photos were taken by the famous German photographer Martin Huch.
“The new record could have been a direct [follow-up] to ‘Night Of Passion’ in terms of its stylistic direction – no ballads, no keyboards, just purebred rock songs – naturally in a contemporary sonic guise,” explains MAD MAX guitarist Jürgen Breforth, who recorded the new CD with vocalist Michael Voss, bassist Roland Bergmann and drummer Axel Kruse.

A decade ago, pop-metal party icon, ANDREW W.K., released his renowned debut album, I Get Wet. In honor of the album’s 10-year anniversary, ANDREW W.K. has joined forces with CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS for a special re-issue edition to be released on July 17, 2012.
With Andrew being a huge metal fan himself and a huge fan of Century Media in particular, both parties were more than ecstatic when the opportunity arose to pair up for this special release. Andrew explains, “Even after all these years, I clearly remember the first day I heard the band Mayhem’s album, “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas”. Its dark psychedelic sensations made me realize I had found a new destiny – and had found the greatest music ever made. When I turned that seminal Mayhem album over and looked at the fine-print on the back cover, I saw a bold and clear stamp bearing the name CENTURY MEDIA. Another wave of destiny washed over me and a new dream was born: that I, Andrew W.K., would somehow be part of this great label’s story of musical power and glory. This fantastic company was not only willing to be an active player in the most crucial and illuminating of the arts (aka music), but also was willing to submit themselves to the same higher calling which motivated their most dedicated and influential artists. It gives me great pride and pleasure to confirm that CENTURY MEDIA is the destined home for our special edition of ‘I GET WET’. It also gives me proof that dreams not only come true, but that they make dreams into real power. Never in a million zillion years would I have imagined that the black wizards would use their cosmic keys to create a time for my humble musical dreams. The moon may be frozen, but its cold light is brighter than ever. Let my album’s release and all our collective efforts help shine an even brighter light on all of humanity, and to further prove that the manifestation is not just underway; it is complete.”
Century Media Records Director of Marketing, Matt Polen, adds, “When we heard Andrew W.K. was looking for a partner for this release, we jumped at the chance team up. I think I speak for the whole company when I say it’s a dream for us to work with him.”
In between dates of the “I Get Wet” tour, Andrew also found time to make a lasting impression at the 2012 South By Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. On top of hosting and leading a number of panels, his band played a several official SXSW showcases and day parties, including a headlining slot at the extravagant Century Media Records / CVLT Nation / Stumptown Coffee Rosters day party. Sufficed to say, everyone partied very hard and definitely all got wet.

Take several high profile rockers from all different bands, package them together, send them out on the road, and what do you have? The Rock And Roll All Stars Tour. And if you are a huge fan of hard rock music wishing to see this tour, well, I hope that you are comfortable with the cost of visiting South America this spring, because that is the only way that you will see this “once in a lifetime” event.
Members of this all star jam include Gene Simmons, Duff McKagan, Joe Elliot, Sebastian Bach, Glenn Hughes, and Steve Stevens. Rounding out the cast is Gilby Clarke, Matt Sorum, Billy Duffy, Ed Roland, and Mike Inez. While it is not clear exactly how the performance will work, it is obviously an awesome package of stars that will be jamming on the stage together.
From what I’ve been able to capture around the web, there will be several Kiss songs played, a few Guns N Roses tunes, a couple of Collective Soul songs, and some Skid Row material. How the band will play together has yet to be seen. I imagine that there will be a different lineup for certain parts of the show, or at least different singers. Joe Elliot will probably sing some Def Leppard tracks. Bach will sing Skid Row. And obviously Ed Roland will sing the Collective Soul songs. I imagine that the encore of the show will consist of everyone on stage at once doing a huge covers jam ala the Moscow Music Peace Festival.
While I am very excited about this tour, I am disappointed with the fact that there are no North American dates. What’s up with that? I understand there are some die hard rock fans in Central and South America, but there’s no love for the USA or Canada? I would be willing to travel to see this show, but not that far. The cost to travel to South America is just a little bit too much for this hard working man.
My only hope is that this all star band decides to keep on touring in the late spring and add a few USA dates to the bill. However, with Simmons finishing up the latest Kiss record and getting ready for the KISS/Motley Crue tour, and with Joe Elliott set to hit the road on the Def Leppard/Poison tour, it is highly unlikely that any additional dates will be added. I’ve not heard any news on a pay per view event of one of the concerts, so I can’t even enjoy the show from the comfort of my own living room. My only chance at seeing this live, other than trolling for videos on You Tube, is to hope that there will be a DVD release in the near future.
The tour kicks off on April 19th in Paraguay and wraps up on May 6th in Venezuela. If you are in or near the area, then you should definitely check this show out. It truly appears to be a once in a lifetime event that would be worth the cost of tickets. For more information about the tour and the band visit: http://www.rnrallstars.com

Now that JANUS’ hugely successful tour with Chevelle and Middle Class Rut has come to an end, they’ll head right back out on the road for a handful of headlining shows before joining up with Cavo for a month-long trek. It all kicks off with a hometown show in Chicago at the Cubby Bear on March 28. Dates with Cavo begin April 7.
JANUS—singer David Scotney, guitarist Mike Tyranski, bassist Alan Quitman and drummer Johnny Salazar—is touring in support of their highly anticipated sophomore album, NOX AERIS, due out March 27 on REALID Records (through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group). The album’s first single, “Stains,” has reached the Top 20 on Billboard’s “Active Rock” chart after garnering huge spins on such radio stations as WIIL (Chicago), KPNT (St. Louis), WBUZ (Nashville), WJJO (Madison), WWBN (Flint), KHTQ (Spokane), SiriusXM’s “Octane” and “Hard Drive XL.”
As Outburn magazine recently praised the album (in a 9 out of 10 review): “NOX AERIS is a visceral sonic document of adventure and the transformation that can result…On the surface an emotionally charged blend of Deftones and Tool, NOX AERIS weaves a complex web of ethereal noise. Passages of thick, meat-grinding distortion culminate in Meshuggah style spasms and interlock beautifully with an atmospheric blanket of restrained synths…The catchiness of NOX AERIS is deceptive in masking the album’s unpredictable song structures, which speaks to Janus’ collective growth as writers. Theirs is a nuanced, understated, and powerful heaviness.”

We received the following info regarding the M3 Rock Festival a few mintues ago:
There have been some changes to this year’s M3 line-up and we want to fill you in. Unfortunately, we just learned that Cinderella is unable to perform as their lead guitarist, Jeff LaBar, is currently receiving attention for an unspecified medical condition, and the band will be off the road through mid June. We wish Jeff well.
We are glad to report, however, that we’ve added LA Guns and Great White to the bill – and there’s another exciting addition. There will be an unforgettable M3 All-Star Jam with many artists from this year’s festival joining onstage, showcasing their talents in this one-time only epic event.
We look forward to seeing you May 11 and 12th!
If you have any questions regarding this change, you can reach us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the name of the event and your confirmation number in all correspondences.

In addition there will be a special run of 418 numbered copies. The first 93 copies will be signed and numbered.

You can only purchase this from the Jimmy Page website at this link.
Gothic metallers PARADISE LOST are well known for their intense videos from their two previous albums. “The Enemy” from the 2007 album In Requiem was shot on the Crimea peninsula and caused some problems with TV companies due to the execution scenes. The video for the title track of Faith Divides Us, Death Unites Us from 2009 was even more disturbing with its scenes of physical and emotional abuse. The brand new “Honesty In Death” video from the band’s upcoming album, Tragic Idol, keeps this tradition. Watch the new video here:
Greg Mackintosh (guitar) comments: “We are very excited about the premiere of our ‘Honesty In Death’ video. In my opinion it is the best video we have ever done. Matt Green, who I had previously worked with on the VALLENFYRE ‘Cathedrals of Dread’ video, directed it. He did such a great job with VALLENFYRE that we knew he would be able to do something really special for PARADISE LOST. The result is a very powerful, but very grim short film with brief cameos by the band, that is sure to resonate with people who see it.”
PARADISE LOST’s upcoming album, Tragic Idol, is scheduled for a worldwide release through Century Media Records on April 23rd in Europe and April 24th in North America. More news about PARADISE LOST and Tragic Idol will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
The love and passion for their music has never faltered. Re-charged and re-focused, Great White channels their raw, sweet and all-at-once dangerous sound into their soon-to-be released collection. Set to come out May 18, 2012 in Europe and May 22nd in North America from Frontiers Records, “Elation” is the band’s 12th studio album.
“Elation” thrives on Great White’s signature grit and blues-hued sound, only marked with a new synergy. Featuring co-founder Mark Kendall (guitar), and 28-year-veterans Michael Lardie (guitar, keyboards) and Audie Desbrow (drums), they are joined by lead singer Terry Ilous and bassist Scott Snyder the group emerged unscathed from late 2011 band member changes.
Best known for the 1989 smash “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” Great White’s worldwide sales are approaching 10 million. Their song arsenal also includes “Rock Me,” “Save Your Love,” “The Angel Song,” “Mistabone” and more!
“Elation” is just the recording of what live audiences will see and hear as a band with a new mission. “This is a new birth of the band,” Desbrow says. “I wanted to call the album ‘Tabula Rasa’ which means rebirth, but we went for ‘Elation’ because of the euphoria in the atmosphere. It’s a fresh and healthier start than ever before. I’m like a kid in a candy store.”
Kendall, one of rock’s most notable guitarists, echoed Desbrow’s pure excitement. “The energy in the studio is amazing,” Kendall says. “This is the most excited I’ve been since I was nine-years-old and got my first guitar. It’s remarkable to be doing our third record with Frontiers Records and to feel the love and support from Serafino and his team. They are truly part of the Great White family.”
Lardie, who also served as “Elation”’s producer, applauded the band’s teamwork in the studio. He was struck by the group’s song writing approach and enthusiasm, and assures fans will embrace the record.
“The difference in this studio experience was simple. Everyone was completely present and contributed to the making of this album. As a producer, I feel my part is to get the best out of each of us and I got better than anyone’s best!”
Look out for Shark Tales – The Tell All Book: 30 years of Rock and Roll and Great White rocking in a city near you in 2012!
“Elation” tracklisting includes:
(I’ve Got) Something For You; Feelin’ So Much Better; Love Train; Heart Of A Man; Hard To Say Goodbye; Resolution; Shotgun Willie’s; Promise Land; Lowdown (Bonus Track); Just For Tonight; Love Is Enough; Complicated.
- Terry Ilous – lead vocals
- Mark Kendall – lead guitar
- Scott Snyder – bass guitar
- Audie Desbrow – drums
- Michael Lardie – guitar, keyboards

In the prologue to Duff McKagan’s autobiography, It’s So Easy (And Other Lies), Duff tells an anecdotal tale of his daughter’s thirteenth birthday party. It was going to be a huge, grand event, complete with a DJ, catered food and lots of his daughter’s friends. There was just one small issue. His daughter refused to let him, or his wife, step foot in the backyard. It just wasn’t cool to have your parents trolling around at your birthday party.
As an avid fan of Guns N Roses since the mid-eighties, I found this story hysterical. Here is one of the biggest rock icons of the day, who was mauled by devoted fans over the years, being told that he isn’t cool enough to hang out with his daughter’s friends. Duff would be an embarrassment to this growing teenage girl. This was the life of Duff McKagan circa 2011.
The opening introit leads to the kick start of the journey that was (and still is) the life of Duff McKagan, former bassist for one of the biggest rock and roll bands in the history of music. The modern day version of Mr. McKagan is quite a contrast to the early life of a young, hungry musician who moved from Seattle to Los Angeles, California, with a dream of putting together one of the most dedicated rock bands in the world.
The opening chapters of It’s So Easy (And Other Lies) are beautifully crafted and formatted in perfect harmony. The book starts with the early roots of Duff McKagan in Seattle and is intertwined with his early days in Los Angeles. Rather than giving us the linear path of his life, Duff decided that it would be more compelling to twist the early days of L.A. with flashbacks of his arrival on the Hollywood scene. The payoff is intense reading that can’t be put down. Even if you aren’t a fan of Guns N Roses (which I find hard to believe), It’s So Easy (And Other Lies) is still must read material.
Duff shows us the inner workings of Hollywood via the late 80s. Here, a young man came with no money, a dream, and a drive to form one of the greatest bands in the world. While a lot of young musicians at the time were pounding the streets of L.A. in search of leading the next great rock band, the difference with Duff was his determination. Nothing was going to come between him and his dream. In the early years, that held true, as Duff was more concerned with his music than anything else. That, and the fact that he could not afford anything more than cheap Nighttrain wine, helped keep him level headed enough to become a founding member of Guns N Roses along with Slash, Steven Adler, Izzy Stradlin, and one Axl Rose.
Duff recreates the early days in vibrant detail, and for fans who have read Slash’s autobiography, It’s So Easy (And Other Lies) is the perfect companion piece, as we are able to see familiar stories through the eyes of another band member. Reading the early stories made me yearn for a memoir from Axl, thus completing the views from all three of the biggest players in the band.
McKagan does not hold back throughout It’s So Easy (And Other Lies). He delves into the story and gives the readers all of the dirt. He retells classic moments of GNR history with the clear perspective of sobriety and even takes responsibility for his part in how the band fell apart. He is quick to point out not only the lows of living a life with Axl Rose as a bandmate, but also the highs. Duff holds no grudges and appears to have no regrets. His memories of Axl are painted both in anger (especially for Axl’s constant lateness) and in fondness (remembering how Axl was there for Duff during several times of need).
Through it all, McKagan gives us his life story in beautiful, crisp detail leaving out none of the good times, or the bad. We are able to journey with him to the darkest pits of drug and alcohol abuse. We writhe in pain as his pancreas burst and he begs for death. We rejoice in jubilation as Duff takes on the challenge for his life and comes back from the brink of death to become completely sober and dedicated to his music once again. And through it all, we secretly hope that one day, there will be a full band Guns N Roses reunion. While his other bands (Velvet Revolver and Loaded) are great, we always want the original back together.
If you are a fan of Guns N Roses, the Hollywood metal scene, or just rock and roll in general, It’s So Easy (And Other Lies) is definitely worth picking up. McKagan’s story is one of redemption and overcoming personal demons to live life on a greater level. It is a story that will touch anyone who reads it and resonate with your inner champion.
It’s So Easy (And Other Lies) is now available in paperback from Touchstone Books, wherever books are sold and on the Amazon Kindle.

‘EN VIVO!’ LIVE DVD / BLU-RAY AND DOUBLE ALBUM AVAILABLE MARCH 26TH
‘MAIDEN ENGLAND WORLD TOUR’ 2012 TOUR DATES IN NORTH AMERICA
IRON MAIDEN release a new live Blu-Ray, 2DVD Set and Double Soundtrack Album on Monday March 26th.
“EN VIVO!” was filmed on 10th April 2011 in front of over 50,000 ecstatic fans at the Estadio Nacional, Santiago during the Round The World In 66 Days leg of The Final Frontier World Tour, and captures a magnificent performance by the band, ardently embraced by the legendary Latino passion and energy of their Chilean fans. With spectacular stage backdrops, dynamic musicianship and a literally jaw-dropping appearance by Eddie, this live show encapsulates to perfection the heart and soul of Iron Maiden 2011.
The concert and filmed digitally using 22 HD cameras and an octocam (a flying camera which captures aerial crowd scenes), recorded in both stereo and 5.1 audio and extensive use is made of split screens so fans can follow the individual members more closely. The set list moves seamlessly between songs from Maiden’s most recent studio album, 2010’s The Final Frontier through to classic fan favourites via the band’s vast and varied catalogue.
To watch the full seven-minute version of ‘Blood Brothers’ from ‘EN VIVO!’ click here.
DVD Disc Two is a bonus disc containing an 88-minute documentary, BEHIND THE BEAST. A fascinating high quality “home movie”, produced entirely in-house by Maiden’s own Krew led by Andy Matthews, it reveals how to put on an Iron Maiden tour and what goes on behind the scenes at a show. It describes the extraordinary story of one of the most acclaimed and ambitious touring shows in the world, illustrating the day to day life and complex tasks of the Maiden Killer Krew and the other characters behind the scenes. As well as interviews with the Iron Maiden crew, it interweaves anecdotes from the band and their fans, and includes footage of the live show in this comprehensive guide to the intricacies of staging massive, live stadium shows around the world out of the belly of a Boeing 757.

MAIDEN ON THE CHARGE
Following the massively successful Final Frontier World Tour 2010-11, IRON MAIDEN are back on the road this summer with a series of Arena, Amphitheatre and Festival shows in the U.S.A. and Canada, opening in Charlotte, NC, U.S.A. on June 21, and finishing in Houston, TX, on Aug 18 (dates listed below), to be followed by further dates around the World in 2013. Alice Cooper will be very special guest on all shows to July 21, and inspirational New Yorkers Coheed and Cambria on all shows after July 21.
The Maiden England World Tour will closely mirror, in terms of production and content, the original 1988 concert video of the same name, shot on the Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son Tour. This opening section of the World Tour is the band’s most extensive visit to North America for many years and includes a number of cities the band have not played in a very long time, such as Charlotte, Atlanta, Buffalo, Indianapolis and Salt Lake City.
MAIDEN ENGLAND marks the third chapter in the History of Iron Maiden, a journey which began in 2004 with The Early Days DVD and subsequent 2005 Early Days Tour. Part Two followed in 2008 with the Live After Death DVD – the seminal 1984 concert recorded at Long Beach Arena (L.A) during the World Slavery Tour – and the band embarking on their groundbreaking Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008/9, which saw them play to over two million fans in almost 40 countries.
Comments vocalist Bruce Dickinson, “We have great fun playing the History of Maiden Tours because it gives us an opportunity between new albums to go out and play songs from our earlier catalogue. It’s always fantastic seeing the crowd reaction from a new generation of fans who have never experienced some of these tracks performed live before, and of course we know our longstanding fans will enjoy seeing the original Seventh Son Tour re-visited – with many other surprises!
“Our intention is to play about two thirds of the original track list of Maiden England (shown below*), including some songs we have not played live in a very, very long time, plus other favourites we just know the fans are going to want to hear! We always try to give our fans a great show musically, but we have always tried to make it as entertaining and memorable an experience as we can visually. And we all feel this show is going to do that splendidly! We can’t wait to get started in Charlotte”.
*Maiden England 1988 Longform Video VHS Tracklisting Moonchild, The Evil That Men Do, The Prisoner, Still Life, Die With Your Boots On, Infinite Dreams, Killers, Can I Play With Madness, Heaven Can Wait, Wasted Years, The Clairvoyant, Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, The Number Of The Beast, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Iron Maiden.
