The two-disc DVD features a comprehensive 90 minute documentary spanning the band’s incredible career, including a slew of exclusive live clips from some of their most memorable performances from around the world. In order to give their fans the best viewing experience possible, the band has blended the greatest clips and moments captured on video throughout their career—forming the outstanding DVD that rabid DANKO JONES fans have been clamoring for. Shot by the Diamond Bros., the documentary offers a unique insight into the ups and downs of one of the hardest working bands around today.
An extra special treat for fans comes in the format of a short film titled The Ballad of Danko Jones. Based on Danko Jones’ most recent video trilogy, the film features actors Elijah Wood, Selma Blair, Ralph Macchio, Jena Malone, musicians Lemmy (Motorhead), Mike Watt (Minutemen, fIREHOSE), and many other familiar faces. All 19 music videos the band has ever made, including videos that have not been available in over 10 years, are also included.
The world premiere of Bring On The Mountain will take place at the National Film Board during the NXNE Film Festival in Toronto, ON on June 12, 2012 (encore performance on June 15), followed by The Ballad of Danko Jones on June 13. Although DANKO JONES will be busy touring in Europe, directors Josh and Jason Diamond will be on hand for the premiere.
DANKO JONES recently wrapped up recording a new album at Noble Street Studios in their hometown of Toronto, ON with producer Matt DeMatteo, and is currently in Vancouver working on the final mixes with engineer Mike Fraser. The currently untitled album is expected to be released early fall 2012.
DANKO JONES’ most recent full-length release, Below the Belt, is the band’s most successful album in many years and includes their biggest commercial radio single to date, entitled ‘Full of Regret’. The single was one of the most played rock songs on Canadian radio in 2010 and charted within the Top 30 on the US Active Rock charts. The album also charted in seven European countries + Canada, including a top 10 position in Sweden. The band’s music has been featured on television on HBO’s True Blood and CSI: NY, on video games like Need for Speed Nitro and NHL 2011, and on the Saw VI and VII soundtracks—just to name a few. DANKO JONES has performed with the likes of Guns N’ Roses, Motorhead, The Rolling Stones, and more and have sold-out numerous headline tours of Europe and Canada.
DANKO JONES will be taking part in a special European festival run kicking off on June 7, 2012 in Sweden at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg. Check out what the press is saying about DANKO JONES’ most recent album, ‘Below The Belt’:
“Expect nothing resembling subtlety on this Toronto trio’s latest batch of retribution anthems — all brutal punch-pop riffing, rumble-gut bass, and accusatory posturing.”
– SPIN MAGAZINE (7 out of 10 stars)
…this is a great album with no weak tracks. On the whole, it is likely the best damn thing this band has ever released, distilling everything they do so brilliantly. Infusing their raw sound with elements of polished melody, DANKO JONES have improved their chemistry without messing with their formula… If playing these songs in your car doesn’t make you break speed limits, we can’t be friends.”
– CHARTATTACK (4/5 out of 5 stars)
“Below the Belt offers all the fist-pumping muscle-car riffs and in-your-face attitude fans expect from DANKO JONES…with its sing-along choruses and stadium-sized production, it’s the band’s slickest album…”

Helsinki vampire rockers, THE 69 EYES, are currently putting finishing touches to their new, 10th studio album. “We’ve never really celebrated anything, not that we’ve been playing 20 years or so (vampires don’t count decades). Thus this time we thought to celebrate a bit: the new album is entitled as tenth in Roman numbers, it’ll be called “X””, says lead vampire, Jyrki69.
The first single release from album is called “Red” and it’s due in August as the album comes out late in September on Nuclear Blast Records.
The album was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden, produced by “On The Verge” production team.
The mixing is done by Stefan Boman (THE HELLACOPTERS, BULLET). “The sound is the most melodic, yet melancholic, we’ve ever had. Listening to the pre-mixes have been giving goose bumps to everyone here. This is the best 69 EYES album ever done!” the singer states.
At the same time the band will also launch their own vampire style red wine, simply called as “Red” which will mainly be distributed in Sweden and Finland.
While waiting for the album, the Helsinki vampire enthusiastic can go to listen to singer Jyrki’s DJ skills as he hosts his Goth’n’Roll club nights in Barcelona’s UNDEAD club in July 7th and FANGTASIA II event in New Orleans, USA in July 21st.

For more than three decades, veteran multi-platinum Canadian rockers Loverboy have been lovin’ every minute of it…and now are proud to announce the upcoming worldwide release of ROCK ‘N’ ROLL REVIVAL via Frontiers Records. The album is set for an August 14th release in North America and August 24th in Europe and features nine newly re-recorded Loverboy hits, as well as three brand new songs. Loverboy founder/guitarist and producer of the album, Paul Dean commented, “The new songs on this album are in the same spirit as our classic material. Working with our old friend, Bob Rock, on ‘Heartbreaker’ and ‘No Tomorrow’ was very easy and natural. And, the track ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Revival’ brought Mike Reno and me back to our collaborative spirit of the 80’s. As far as the classic hits on the album, these songs are reflective of the evolution of our past 30 years of playing them LIVE.”
Featuring original band members Mike Reno, Paul Dean, Matt Frenette, Doug Johnson along with Ken “Spider” Sinnaeve (who replaced the late Scott Smith), Loverboy recently reunited at Bryan Adams’ Vancouver studio The Warehouse, with their original engineer, legendary producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, The Cure, Bon Jovi) to record the two new songs which are included on the album, “Heartbreaker” and “No Tomorrow,” which were added to another specially-written new track, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Revival.” The re-recorded hit tracks capture 30+ years of the evolution of each song during Loverboy’s stellar live shows.
Next month, Loverboy will hit the road on a massive nationwide tour as special guests supporting Journey and Pat Benatar featuring Neil Giraldo. This tour comes full circle for Loverboy as they played with Journey three decades ago, in support of their iconic album, “Get Lucky.”
Please see below for confirmed tour dates, with more to be announced.

Their string of hits includes, in addition to the anthem “Working for the Weekend,” such arena rock staples as “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” “This Could Be the Night,” “Hot Girls in Love,” “Heaven In Your Eyes,” “Turn Me Loose,” “When It’s Over,” “Heaven In Your Eyes” and “Queen of the Broken Hearts.” Loverboy is: Mike Reno (vocals), Paul Dean (guitars), Matt Frenette (drums), Doug Johnson (keyboards) and Ken “Spider” Sinnaeve (bass).
