We were going to announce this soon, when it was official, but since it’s leaked out everywhere anyway, here goes: Chickenfoot has a track on an upcoming official Deep Purple tribute album! The ‘Foot took on “Highway Star” and we think you’ll love the results! Release date is set for September 4th, so watch the stores for it or get your pre-orders in.
Steve Vai, Santana, Iron Maiden and Metallica are among the rest of acts taking a turn at other cuts from the classic album, which also includes a SWEET 124-page magazine with interviews/etc.
Effin Hey; Deep Purple deserve so much more respect.
