Voodoo Circle- 2013 CoverartWhen Alex Beyrodt’s Voodoo Circle started up, I thought of this band as mostly a side project. Well the last few years
has seen this band blossom into a full-fledged band, that is continuing to release some killer hard rock to feast our
ears upon.  In 2013, Voodoo Circle released their third effort More than One Way Home. On the band’s newest opus, they
have truly tapped into their inner Whitesnake, and to my ears, that is a great thing!  David Readman (Pink Cream 69) has turned in some of his most powerful vocals to date. He is hitting new highs vocally, and quite honestly he could go toe to toe with Mr. David Coverdale himself.

Readman’s vocals come as no surprise to this listener, as I have been a fan of his music with Pink Cream 69 for many years now. As great as Readman’s performance is, Alex Beyrodt’s is even better. Beyrodt has been a fixture in the metal scene with the bands Silent Force, Sinner, and Primal Fear, but with his band Voodoo Circle he shows even more growth as a player (if that is even possible).  He delivers some of the best guitar riffs I have heard in quite some time.

With Whitesnake on somewhat of a hiatus, it is great that a band like Voodoo Circle can fill that void with some outstanding hard rock that will put a smile on the faces of Whitesnake & Deep Purple fans everywhere.  More Than One Way Home may not be very original, but when a band sounds THIS good, I could care less.

I love Voodoo Circle’s previous album Broken Heart Syndrome, and quite frankly, I think this album is even stronger than the last one. This album has plenty of great songs, and there are no duds in the bunch.  Some of my favorites are “Graveyard City”, “Tears In the Rain”, “Cry of Love”, “Alissa” and “The Saint and The Sinner”.  This is a very enjoyable album, and will be getting a ton of repeat plays from me now and in years to come!

If you are a fan of Pink Cream 69, Whitesnake or great classic hard rock, you owe it to yourself to check out Voodoo Circle! I think you will love it!
