Heaven and Hell Records is proud to oversee the U.S. release of The Ravens Court debut ‘Skeletons in the Closet‘.
The gothic, glam rockers from down under bring a resurrection to seemingly forgotten sounds…Then twist them to become The Ravens Court. Dark with a delirious colorfulness, with a sleazy eloquence. Bizarre and catchy with rude sensuality. The Ravens Court have recreated goth rock into their own vision.
The band offer elements across the board so to appeal to a wide fan base. From the 70’s sleaze glam punk sounds of Alice Cooper, T.Rex, and Iggy Pop to the 80’s gothic glam and even artsy sounds like The Cult, Christian Death, and Bang Tango. With the current renaissance of gothic rock with bands such as HIM and The 69 Eyes, The Ravens Court will be a fine addition to this resurgence of the darker and romantic side of rock.
Skeletons in the Closet will be released in the U.S. soon.
You can check out some of the new tunes at The Ravens Court myspace page.
2007 has been a great year for rock, and Thanksgiving week has been an exceptional one for heavy metal. First with the great new release Angel Down by Sebastian Bach, and another one called Deadly Sins by Seven Witches featuring New Jersey, Axe shredder Jack Frost.
I must admit that I haven’t heard everything in the Jack Frost discography, but if Deadly Sins wasn’t near the top of the list, I would be greatly surprised.
This disc has everything a metalhead could possibly want: killer guitar work by Jack Frost, soaring vocals/screams by Alan Tecchio, and an excellent rhthym section featuring the heavy bass licks of Kevin Bolembach, and the pounding double bass drums by Troll .
There are some additional guest musicians on this disc, including the bass work of Armored Saint’s Joey Vera and Clint Arent from Pain Museum, and growled vocals of Hades’ Dave Lescinsky.
Seven Witches have crafted a fine metal cd, and one that will be getting lots of play by me in the following months. If you are a fan of bands like Armored Saint, Dream Evil or Judas Priest, you need to check out this disc.
You can preview four of the new tracks below. If you like what you hear, go get this record. It is available in most major retail outlets!
Seven Witches current lineup is:
Alan Tecchio – Vocals
Kevin Bolembach – Bass
Jack Frost – Guitars
Jeff Curenton – Drums

12 Years Coming have been compared on their myspace to Motley Crue meets Guns n Roses. I’m not hearing Motley Crue but I can definitely hear the GnR influences here. ‘I Want You (On Me)’ sounds a bit like GnR in an ‘It’s So Easy’ kind of way, although I’m not saying this song is good, because it isn’t! It sounds like some amateur garage band demo. Thankfully things get a bit better from here on in.
‘Open Book’ is a great ballad and it’s not sappy, has nice lyrics and is probably the best song on this EP. ‘Shut Up’ is a good rocker with the likable sleazy words to match the sound. There isn’t a lot to say about the rest of the tunes except they go along in the same vein. Straight forward, basic, no frills rock, although they all sound similar and it gets a little boring fairly quickly.
12 Years Coming have an almost southern-fried kind of blues/rock ballsy edge to them, with a bit of a sprinkle of Junkyard. Singer Joe Riley has the kind of voice I like, not too polished and perfect, it’s a bit raspy, gritty and raw around the edges, it’s just the song writing is lacking some oomph.
This is nothing especially exceptional here and 12 Years Coming are not reinventing the wheel, its fairly average pub rock. Crack open your favourite beer and give it a taste for yourself. Check out 12 Years Coming, at their myspace page.

A Twisted Christmas captures a great live show by the band, in which Twisted Sister performed several of their big hits, as well as a few tunes off of their 2006 Christmas CD, A Twisted Christmas.
Twisted Sister is one of the few bands from the 80’s era of rock that I never managed to see live, so I thoroughly enjoyed this performance. The band sounds great live, and the concert was a high energy show that the crowd in New Jersey really got into.
Before 2006, Hard Rock fans only had Trans Siberian Orchestra to go to for some harder rocking Christmas tunes. Thank Goodness for Santa Dee and his twisted little elves for bringing this hard rock Christmas DVD.
When you are out spending your hard earned cash on Black Friday, and need something to get you in the mood for Christmas, pick up Twisted Sister’s A Christmas Live DVD, and have yourself a Heavy Metal Christmas!
On a side note, the DVD has some pretty cool extras including the following videos:

I LOVE YOU (Climax Blues Band)
This track was the first song that Tesla recorded in the studio together when reuniting in 2000 after the 5 year break-up. JK asked the band to record this song to be played at his wedding.
EVERYTHING I OWN (Bread)
Another beautiful love song, this song really showcases JK’s vocal ability and TESLA’S ability to “own” a classic cover. Transposed using a capo and teslafied during the guitar solo, this track captures TESLA chemistry.
This is a very raunchy version of our top 10 hit recorded “live” in the studio with a little more grit and attitude than the 5 man “acoustic” version.
THE WAY IT IS
We recorded this version in the studio after coming home from the Canadian “acoustic” tour. It is a stripped down version and we opted to sing it a bit lower to make it more soulful and played the guitar parts with a softer touch.
WHAT YOU GIVE
Not much to say about this track except it is one of our favorite songs we’ve written and our fans seem to love it as much if not more today than ever. This recording is a Hybrid version of acoustic and electric complete with the guitar solo being played acoustically and the twangy country licks complementing JK’s soulful lyrics.
I’D LOVE TO CHANGE THE WORLD (ten years after)
A Great song! This track was originally considered for the “REAL TO REEL” set list but somehow got left behind. This is a “live” demo version recorded in the studio and we wanted to convey a fierce “Guitar” battle between Frank and Tommy. There is a lot of aggression in the music and JK put some serious vibes in the vocals.
SILENT NIGHT (ACOUSTIC SOLO)
This recording is an acoustic arrangement put together by Frank Hannon as a bonus track for the EP’s release in December for Christmas. The melody is beautiful and is reminiscent of TESLA’s “LOVE SONG” intro with classical guitar lines and finger picking. To add to the arrangement, there are Dobro slide parts and a Mandolin outro added to enhance the holiday spirit. Enjoy!
Veteran California rockers TESLA have scheduled the following 2008 dates:
Feb. 01 – Seattle, WA – Showbox
Feb. 02 – Portland, OR – Roseland
Feb. 05 – Spokane, WA – The Big Easy
Feb. 06 – Boise, ID – The Big Easy

TESLA has just released a new seven-track iTunes digital-download exclusive EP called “A Peace of Time”. The band has toured clubs across the U.S. and Europe, growing their fan base across the way.
Thier debut effort Armed & Hammered is a short one. Clocking in just shy of 29 minutes in length.
This CD will immerse you in a punk/sleaze mixture with catchy tunes and ripping guitar solos that will please most hard rock fans. Tattoed Millionaires have a sound that I would describe as The Sex Pistols meets Kiss. It sounds like a kooky combination, but it works! It is a throwback sound to 70’s glam, and that is totally fine with me.
It seems that more and more bands are discovering the true roots of glam, and Tattooed Millionaires truly deliver the goods with Armed & Hammered!
Fans of bands like Hanoi Rocks, and The Gypsy Pistoleros need to give Tattooed Millionaires a chance too. This is a great glam rock disc worth checking out!

Former Skid Row singer, Sebastian Bach blazes the comeback trail with his first new album since his collaboration on the Frameshift disc from 2005.
Not only is this an exciting return for Bach, but it is also one for Axl Rose. This disc features 3 songs with Guns ‘N Roses frontman. These are the first new tunes available (bootlegs don’t count) with Axl Rose since his work with Alice Cooper on the 1999 Box Set, The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper.
When Bach’s first mainstream success in 1989 with the first Skid Row album, there was no doubt that they were part of the whole Glam Metal scene. With Skid Row’s 2nd release, Slave To The Grind, they moved toward a more heavy metal sound. In my opinion, Angel Down carries on where Slave to the Grind left off.
Why mention this during Glam Month? This glam metal star has crafted what is possibly the best hard rock record of 2007. Bach has brought in some pretty good players for this record, including Metal Mike Chlasciak, and Bobby Jarzombek from Halford. I have had the pleasure of seeing Chlasciak play live, and his is one hell of a guitar shredder. Jarzombek and his pounding double bass drums is his equal on the drums. The band is rounded out by former Iced Earth bassist Steve DiGiorgio and Johnny Chromatic on guitar.
Roy Z. produced this disc, and like most recordings he touches, Angel Down is a well produced, great sounding disc from beginning to end.
Most of the tracks on Angel Down, were written by Sebastian Bach, but he did have a little help from Roy Z, Axl Rose and Desmond Child. Most importantly, his bandmates wrote a lot of the music. This wasn’t a bunch of hired hands playing Sebastian’s music. This was a complete band output.
Sebastian Bach has been a fan favorite of several years now. Those of you that thought Bach couldn’t sing anymore, are about to be proved wrong in a major way. Bach’s voice soars on this disc. Everything from the screams to the higher pitched songs, he does it all, and does it quite well.
Not every song on Angel Down is perfect, but it is one of the best classic metal discs to be released not only in 2007, but quite possibly this decade. This record has some extremely heavy numbers with tracks like American Metalhead and Negative Light. It also has a couple of tracks Falling Into You, and By Your Side that could have been at home on the first Skid Row record. It is going to be quite hard for me to listen to anything else for a while after hearing this record. This is a fucking great record, and it will be near the top of my best of list at the end of 2007. I can only hope that Bach will put out more quality releases like Angel Down in the future.
Do yourself a favor and go buy this record today!

Frehley is aiming for an early 2008 release date for his new solo album. The guitarist — who recently celebrated one year of sobriety after relapsing during the summer of 2006 — has finished recording around 10 new songs for the effort but is looking to lay down two or three more in the next couple of months in order to make the CD “really special,” he revealed during an appearance on the “Friday Night Rocks” radio show.
Ace‘s new album was reportedly recorded with a trio of Ace, Anton Fig on drums and new bassist Anthony Esposito (LYNCH MOB).
Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of Markus Grosskopf’s BASSINVADERS album “Hellbassbeaters” on January 25th 2008 !
Markus Grosskopf is mostly known as the bass player of Germany’s Heavy Metal legend HELLOWEEN, but BASSINVADERS has been a creation of Markus while sitting in a bar and enjoying a few drinks. There it was that he got inspired to an impressive idea: a heavy rock record without any guitars at all. He presented this concept to Frontiers Records in early 2007, who was intrigued with the idea and gave it a go.
And yes, at the end of the day the idea paid off ! “Hellbassbeaters” contains all basic elements a heavy rock record and so much more. You got the strong vocals, rhythmic bass, intoxicating drums and even bass & twin bass solo parts. What you hear is what you get: 100 % genuine heavy / rock record with absolutely no discordant guitar note on it at all. To guarantee a great variety of different influences Markus invited some well-known singing bass players from the German Metal scene to join the band. And they didn’t need an extra invitation. In DESTRUCTION’s enfant terrible Schmier, SODOM’s frontman Tom Angelripper and RAGE boss Peavy, Markus found some real Bassinvaders-friends.
To push it even further Markus invited a few of his bass heroes to play solos on some of the tracks. When he started searching for support making this album excellent he expected to get a cautious response of 2 or 3 musicians. He ended up organizing more than 13 people for a solo appearance on the album. They named themselves – like the album title – the Hellbassbeaters: Billy Sheehan (Steve Vai, ex-Mr. Big, ex-David Lee Roth), Rudy Sarzo (DIO, ex-Ozzy Osbourne, ex-Whitesnake, ex-Quiet Riot), Lee Rocker (Stray Cats), Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, ex-Whitesnake, ex-Ted Nugent), DD Verni (Overkill), Wyzard (Mother’s Finest), Dirk Schlächter (Gamma Ray), Joey Vera (Armored Saint, Fates Warning, ex-Anthrax), Stig Pedersen (D.A.D), Nibbs (Saxon), Tobias Exxel (Edguy), Jens Becker (Grave Digger, ex-Running Wild), Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69), Peter Baltes (Accept), Jan S. Eckert (Masterplan) and Michael Müller (Jaded Heart).
Markus has also invited some guest singers for the songs he wrote: Apollo Papathanasio (Firewind, Time Requiem, Evil Masquerade, Majestic) and the frontman of the legendary Danish stadium rock band D.A.D – Jesper Binzer. While the guest drummers are André Hilgers (Rage, Axxis, Silent Force) and Stefan Arnold (Grave Digger).
This guest list and the killer line-up make the first BASSINVADERS album something very special, but it’s not only about the name dropping. Songs like “Boiling Blood”, “We Live”, “Voices”, “Razorblade Romance”, “Armageddon” or the storming BASSINVADERS version of the classic Helloween anthem “Eagle Fly Free” are proving that Markus’ late night idea won’t be just a one-off slap, but the foundation for another “battlefield” for the always smiling bassist.
The album tracklisting includes:
Awakening the Bass Machine; We Live; Armageddon; Romance In Black; Godless Gods; Empty Memories (Breaking Free); Boiling Blood; Far Too Late; The Asshole Song; Dead From the Eyes Down; Razorblade Romance; Voices; Eagles Fly Free; To Hell And Back (Bonus Track Europe)

In January of 2007, UK rockers Gypsy Pistoleros released their first full length disc, Wild, Beautiful, Damned.
The band open the eye of a lot of people, and gained a whole new fan base with their appearance in the Rocklahoma Music Festival.
The Pistoleros mix a little bit of flamenco into their sleazy, glam tunes. The band has a sound that I would call a cross between the punk of The Sex Pistols and the glam of Hanoi Rocks and maybe a dash of early 80’s Motley Crue. The influences are definitely strong in the music, but one thing is for certain, Wild, Beautiful, Damned rocks! This CD sounds like a party waiting to happen….just add tequila. I have quite a few favorites on this record including the tunes: Forever Is Para Siempre, Moonchild and Un Hombre Sin Rostro, Pistolero.
You won’t hear a new glam record that is more unique than this one. It is a very solid effort, and is a disc for all glam fans to check out!
2008 could be a big year for the the Gypsy Pistoleros. They have been invited back to Rocklahoma in 2008, and are releasing their 2nd CD, Para Siempre soon. If it is as good as this release, the band will take the world by storm!

Until recently, I have not heard any Bobaflex tunes so I had no expectations when I first listened to this disc. Much to my surprise, I found a very strong record that mixes a little bit of southern rock, with heavy metal. I instantly compared Bobaflex to some of the other stand out bands of a similar vein that I have been listening too quite often, Black Stone Cherry and The Showdown.
There is a definite modern feel to this record, and this is definitely radio ready rock. My favorite cuts on this disc are the super heavy Sellout, the hard rocking tune Born Again, the excellent headbanging tune, Need A Drink and the balladesque Home.
Tales from Dirt Town is an extremely solid metal record, and one for today’s hard rock fans to check out. You can check out three of Bobaflex’s new tunes at this link.

Australian band, The Deadthings proclaim themselves to be Australia’s No. 1 glam band. If their look is anything to go by they are off to a good start! There is no doubt these guys have a fantastic image and style that we glam fans appreciate. They look dynamite, complete with lots of hairspray and ghoulish makeup.
‘Dead Over Heels’ follows on from their previous albums ‘When Hell Sleazes Over’ and ‘Who Killed Holly Would’ – you just have to love the titles to these – and the song monikers are similarly inventive and death related. Lyrically they are very refreshing and clever. Lyrics full of blood, death, sex all done tongue in cheek style. While their previous releases were quite punk influenced, ‘Dead Over Heels’ is going in a more 80s sleazy hair metal direction.
Stand out tracks: ‘Christine’s Curse’ complete with a spooky sounding start. ‘Devil with an Angel’s Kiss’ is pure glam metal and sure to be a crowd pleaser. ‘Crimson Rain’, another fantastic song title and again this has killer metaphoric lyrics. The Real Life cover of ‘Send me an Angel’ is a rocky and good rendition, although the backing vocals could use a bit more punch. This music is like Tigertailz meets Black ‘N Blue.
My only complaint is that this album really doesn’t do The Deadthings justice and that is because of the poor quality of the production. It sounds thin and sometimes tinny. I’d love to hear these great songs with bigger backing, a heavier production style and some polish. It would turn a good release into something great.
The Deadthings have built a strong live following and have had rave reviews about their live performance by putting on a highly visual show that not only sounds good, is fun to watch. Be sure to check them out if get the chance. A band with great potential and one to keep an eye on.

Sebastian Bach has posted an e-card streaming three new tracks, “(Love Is a) Bitchslap” (f/ Axl Rose), “American Metalhead” and “By Your Side” from his forthcoming record Angel Down which will see release next Tuesday (9.20). The e-card also features a brief clip of Sebastian and Axl’s cover of Aerosmith’s “Back In The Saddle”.
Sebastian Bach’s release of Angel Down will mark his first solo album in eight years. The 14-song ANGEL DOWN was produced by Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Judas Priest), and recorded primarily in Summer 2006 at Sound City Studios in Hollywood, CA. The CD is being released via a joint-venture between Merovingian Music, Ltd. (MRV) and Bach’s Get Off My Bach Productions, and distributed worldwide through Caroline/EMI Music Group. Joining Bach in the studio for ANGEL DOWN were guitarists “Metal” Mike Chlasciak and Johnny Chromatic, and Bobby Jarzombek on drums, all long-time members of his touring band, as well as Steve DiGiorgio on bass. In addition, Axl Rose lends vocals to three tracks on the record.
This CD has a couple of tracks that should be modest hits for the band. The songs Jaded Heart and Hometown Hero are the closest things I have heard to Pop metal in 2007. Both tracks are equally enjoyable.
Louder has more of a punk feel to it, but is a very solid track. Crack of Dawn is a song that seems extremely familiar to me, but I can’t seem to get into it. Something about it reminds me of Faster Pussycat, but the chorus just didn’t do it for me on this tune.
Let It Loose is a well needed tune at this point in the record. It is a catchy tune that gets into your head and doesn’t let go. Slip Away is a slower number, that has a CC Deville like solo in the center of it. It isn’t a perfect song, but it is growing on me.
Starstruck is a sleazy rocker with a killer beat. It is a cool tune that will get your blood pumping. Drop The Bomb keeps the pace of the album going with another good catchy rocker.
Gotta Move On is an up tempo sleazy feast for your ears. This tune is in the vein of Slash era Guns ‘N Roses. Killer Tune! Proud is a slower tune that has a cool 70’s glam vibe to it.
White Trash Beauty kicks it back in gear with another good G ‘N R style tune. Doin’ You Nasty is closed out with another rocking tune called Moonshine Beauty. Party rock doesn’t get much better than this.
The more I listen to Doin’ You Nasty, the more I enjoy it. All that is stopping this disc from exploding in the United States is a better distribution deal. The only online store that I have found that carries this at non import prices is Impulse Music.com. 80’s hard rock fans are going to dig this record. Don’t miss out on one of the better glam CD’s released within the last couple of years! You can check out the Babylon Bombs at this link!

I have repeatedly tried to responsibly fix the situation, but obviously some old wounds never heal – mine included. Rather than insist on the other version of LA Guns immediately cease all activities, I have for whatever reason allowed them to continue to exist for the simple reason that I think the world is big enough for both of us. I also think that they, like all of us, have a right to make a living.
Now I have learned that Phil has made it a personal goal to basically attack the version of LA Guns that features me. They have sent false statements to several promoters saying that I am not performing with the ‘real’ LA Guns, etc. Whichever version of LA Guns the fans favor, I would hope that everyone knows that this is completely ridiculous. With all due respect to their contributions to LA Guns history, Phil and Steve were not even the original members of the band. Now they have the balls to say that I am not the ‘real’ version of LA Guns? I guess that is what I get for trying to mind my own business and be a good guy.
We have played all over the world this year to great crowds including Trinidad, Argentina, two tours of Europe, three US tours, Korea, and now we are looking forward to playing in 2008 all over and will start the new year on a west coast run with SKID ROW.”
POLKADOT CADAVER (EX-DOG FASHION DISCO) SCHEDULES
CD RELEASE PERFORMANCES IN CLEVELAND AND BALTIMORE
DEBUT ALBUM “PURGATORY DANCE PARTY” IN STORES NOVEMBER 27TH, 2007 ON ROTTEN RECORDS, NEW TRACKS POSTED ONLINE
Baltimore based Polkadot Cadaver, featuring Todd Smith, Jasan Stepp and John Ensminger formerly of Dog Fashion Disco, have announced CD release performances in Cleveland, OH on November 30th and December 1st, 2007 in Baltimore, MD.
The members of Polkadot Cadaver cut their teeth recording and touring relentlessly in avant-garde alt-metal act Dog Fashion Disco. During the near decade the group spent in Dog Fashion Disco. Smith and his merry band of misfits would amass a loyal underground following of fans (dubbed the “mushroom cult”) through countless tours with the likes of Slayer, Mindless Self Indulgence, Nothingface and Lacuna Coil. Although Dog Fashion Disco never achieved commercial success, their musical legacy gained the respect of musical contemporaries like Serj Tankian of System of a Down (who made a guest appearance on Anarchists of Good Taste), Mushroomhead and American Head Charge, while the group’s music lives on through the internet and continues to create new members of the “mushroom cult” long after the band’s demise.
“We came to a stand still with Dog Fashion Disco,” says Smith about the demise of his former outfit. “We weren’t making any money, but we were touring non-stop and it seemed like we were chasing our tail.”
While Smith and company may have become sick of living the vagabond lifestyle that a touring metal band requires, the thought of giving up music entirely never even crossed their minds. Within mere months of their former outfit’s demise the group had created a new group, Polkadot Cadaver to unleash their schizophrenic musical madness.
“Jasan and I decided to start a studio band and Polkadot Cadaver started as shells of songs on Jasan’s computer. After we fleshed out the songs we pitched it to Rotten Records, because we loved how they handled the last Dog Fashion Disco album,” says Smith about the formation of the group.
“They immediately got behind us and as soon as we received a recording budget we went to Wrightway Studios to work and complete the record. Polkadot Cadaver is very similar to Dog Fashion Disco stylistically. The songs are still very quirky and different from each other.”
Polkadot Cadaver’s debut album, “Purgatory Dance Party” is slated for release on November 27th, 2007 through Rotten Records. Recorded in the bowels of Baltimore with producer Steven Wright (Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, SR-71), Polkadot Cadaver’s debut album picks up right where Dog Fashion Disco left off. Schizophrenic, ambitious and completely insane, Polkadot Cadaver removes musical barriers to create their own brand of unique musical lunacy. The group has currently uploaded four songs from their forthcoming debut album at the following location www.myspace.com/polkadotcadaver

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE TO RELEASE SOPHOMORE ALBUM, “SCREAM AIM FIRE,” ON JANUARY 29, 2008
Special “Fan Pack” Digital Single With Bonus Content Available for Download on December 18
Los Angeles, CA – November 14, 2007 — Having spent most of the last two years taking over the world with massive UK, European, U.S. and worldwide headline tours, supporting Guns N Roses, Metallica and Iron Maiden, playing Main Stage at almost every rock festival across the world, and seeing their 2006 debut album, “The Poison” – an album London’s daily The Sun called “One of the finest debut albums in rock history” – sail past the million sales mark (350,000 in the U.S. alone), BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE is set to return with album number two, “Scream Aim Fire,” set for release in the U.S. on January 29, 2008 (Jive/SonyBMG).
“Scream Aim Fire” was produced by Colin Richardson (Machinehead, Funeral For A Friend) who also produced “The Poison,” and was recorded at Sonic Ranch near El Paso, TX earlier this year. The eleven new songs are, according to frontman Matthew Tuck, “really melodic heavy metal…catchy, hooky choruses and full-on vocals, with the music being very in-your-face and heavy…it’s a lot more uptempo [than 'The Poison'], a lot more aggressive.”
An exclusive 15-minute digital single – a special sneak preview of “Scream Aim Fire” – will be available for download beginning December 18. Two of the album’s tracks, “Eye of the Storm” plus the title track will be included, along with the band’s Matt and Moose providing a behind-the-scenes track-by-track commentary about the album. The “Scream Aim Fire” digital single will sell for $1.98 and be available through all the major digital media services (iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, etc.).
The four-piece metal core band from Bridgend, South Wales, UK – Matthew “Matt” Tuck/vocals, Michael “Padge” Paget/Guitar, Michael “Moose” Thomas/drums, and Jason “Jay” James/Bass – are, according to the UK’s Kerrang!, well on their way to “phase two of world domination” with the new disc. For “The Poison,” Bullet For My Valentine graced the covers – at least once – of Kerrang!, Rock Sound, and Metal Hammer. In addition, they won Metal Hammer’s 2006 “Golden God Award” for Best British Band, and the 2006 Kerrang! Award for “Best UK Single” for their track “Tears Don’t Fall.” Here in America, the band was named “British Import of the Year” in Revolver, and “The Poison” generated the hit singles “Tears Don’t Fall” and “All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me),” with the video for “All These Things I Hate” going to the #1 spot on MTV2.
Bullet For My Valentine will headline a tour of the UK and Europe starting in late January, and will then head to the U.S. in late February. Details to be announces shortly.
Full track listing for “Scream Aim Fire” is as follows:

This disc is an interesting mix of 70’s style glam in the vein of the New York Dolls, late 80s’s sleaze and punk rock.
The songs are short, 12 tunes clocking in under 40 minutes, and have a raw sound to them.
Joan Jett lends the band a hand on the tune Tearstained Letters. Their is also an interesting cover of the Credence Clearwater Revival classic Travelin’ Band. To me, these tracks are the definite stand outs on this record.
The Heart Attacks fall into the trap where one song after another starts to sound the same. The songs have a lot of energy, but they lack a lot of variety. It isn’t terrible but will certainly be detrimental to their success.
Are The Heart Attacks the next big thing? Probably not. Hellbound and Heartless does have a unique mix of styles that doesn’t sound like a lot of other releases coming out today.
This record is one that will probably appeal more to the punk crowd, than to today’s glam fans. If you like what you hear in the videos below, check out The Heart Attacks, at their myspace page.
