Buckcherry has released a provocative new video for “Gluttony”–the first single from their new Confessions album. The daring clip was directed by Billy Jayne and features the band performing the song in a church filled with people indulging in all types of vices, while the video’s protagonist struggles to overcome his own gluttony.
Check out the clip here:
The multi-platinum Los Angeles rock band will release Confessions February 19, 2013 via Century Media Records and the “Gluttony” single is available for purchase through iTunes now (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/gluttony-single/id584509774).
Buckcherry vocalist Josh Todd explains the inspiration for the “Gluttony” video: “The concept of the video is excess, consuming everything excessively, and moderation is not even in the equation. I’m very familiar with that, and a lot of guys in the band are familiar with that.”
He continues: “Because the record is called Confessions, we filmed the video in a church, we got Jesus down there–which is killer–and we got a lot of our fans in it, which is amazing. They came out on their own time and really put in a lot of sweat equity, so thank you to them.”
Guitarist Keith Nelson elaborates, “We worked with Billy Jayne, who hasn’t done a lot of music videos. It was really refreshing to see his take on what we’re doing because he totally gets the music, he’s connecting with it, and he’s taking it to a different place than a guy who does videos for a living. We got a guy who actually makes movies and TV shows to put his spin on it and it’s been really positive.”
Buckcherry is currently on the road headlining North American shows and will join Kid Rock as special guests on the upcoming Rebel Soul Tour beginning February 2 in Kansas City, MO. The first leg of the tour runs through March 2 and band has also been added to the second leg of dates for trek which run from March 18 in Sioux Falls, SD through April 6 in Saginaw, MI.
While on tour, Buckcherry is previewing songs from Confessions, the band’s sixth studio album and first U.S. release for Century Media Records. Confessions merges punk grit, gutter attitude, honest storytelling, and razor sharp hooks. The lyrics are tied together by the underlying theme of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Buckcherry–Josh Todd (vocals), Keith Nelson (guitar), Stevie D. (guitar), Jimmy Ashhurst (bass), Xavier Muriel (drums)–are one of the premier rock bands of the new millennium, having sold more than three million records in America alone and touring virtually non-stop, playing with everyone from AC/DC to Avenged Sevenfold, touring sold-out arenas alongside Nickelback and KISS, and headlining festivals ranging from the punk rock Ink-N-Iron (also featuring the Misfits and Pennywise) to Sturgis. Radio staples “Lit Up,” “Crazy Bitch” and “Sorry” have cemented the band as one of the most identifiable and sought-after bands on the radio and the live circuits.
The current Buckcherry tour itinerary is as follows:

Happy New Year all, and welcome to the first 2013 edition of Vie’s Verses! This year, I would like to start a new segment for my column that will pop up on occasion — bands we don’t cover enough. At Hard Rock Hideout we strive to bring you the most diverse collection of hard rock bands that we can. From the latest rising stars to the old classics, Hard Rock Hideout attempts to discuss them all. However, every now and again, there is a band that just falls through the cracks.
Hence, the new segment, where I will do my best to pay homage to a band that just hasn’t been covered enough. Hopefully it will encourage you to seek out their music and give them a try. It’s the New Year, the perfect time to try and get yourself hooked on some new music, or a band that you may have missed. For this inaugural segment, I’d like to discuss a band that I have fallen in love with recently, Rise Against.
Best described as modern punk, Rise Against is a hard rock band from Chicago, Illinois that formed in 1999 and found some commercial success starting in 2004 with the release of their commercial debut album Siren Song Of The Counter Culture. Some rock lovers would be quick to dismiss Rise Against as mainstream pop and lump them in with the likes of Shinedown, or Nickelback, albeit not as enjoyable. That’s a shameful way to portray a band that is as deep and talented as Rise Against. This is a band that has their own, unique, signature style, and if anything, they remind me more of Foo Fighters.
The band’s most recent album is Endgame, and while it is a strong and solid record, it is their prior release, Appeal To Reason, that really turned me into a fan. Filled with gems like “The Dirt Whispered,” “Audience Of One,” and the band’s best song, “Savior,” Appeal To Reason is a solid record containing monster hits of hard rock beauty. If you are new to the band, Appeal To Reason should be the first album that you listen to. It serves as an excellent introduction to Rise Against as well as showing off their abilities both musically and lyrically.
Lead singer/songwriter Tim McIlrath is a poetic genius when it comes to crafting lyrics. Whether he is posting his heart on his sleeve (“Audience Of One”), telling an amazing and heart-wrenching story (“Hero Of War”), or trying his best to rationalize the end of a relationship (“This Is Letting Go”), McIlrath’s lyrics are always gems. Beautifully stated, carefully constructed, and well thought out, most of the lyrics McIlrath writes have deep, multiple layers of messages contained within. On the surface they appear to be a simple love story, break-up story, etc. But digging deeper can reveal a political mindset, a war torn backdrop, or a diatribe on the current state of our union. And while it was the music of Rise Against that drew me into the band, it is the lyrics that kept me a fan. I could spend weeks dissecting the multiple messages contained within most Rise Against songs.
Additional band members Joe Principe (bass guitar), Brandon Barnes (drums), and Zach Blair (lead guitar) fit exceptionally well with McIlrath. Their music brings out the best in his vocals and the musical creativity is a perfect fit for the voice that leads the songs. The chords, changes, and leads are as artfully crafted as the lyrics. All four band members are insanely talented and their dedication to the art of making music shows on each of the bands releases. From their indie debut (The Unravelling) to their most recent release (Endgame) every Rise Against album is a beauty, filled with hard hitting, rocking songs that have depth and plenty of replay value.
If you are interesting in checking out a “new-to-you” band this year, I highly recommend Rise Against. Start with Appeal To Reason and then pick any of their albums after that. I can almost guarantee that you will eventually want to own their entire catalog. And if not, you will at least enjoy what you have heard from them and will be falling in love with a new band that may just enter your favorites list.
And if you know Rise Against, drop a line in the comments section and tell us what you think. Want to see more Bands We Don’t Cover Enough? Drop that in the comments as well!

As they gear up for the spring release of their much-anticipated new album, multi-platinum rock band ALICE IN CHAINS have announced a North American tour set to kick off April 25th at the Fillmore in Miami Beach (see itinerary below).
This past Thursday, the band teamed with VEVO to premiere the official companion clip for new track “Hollow.” Shot by award-winning director Roboshobo (Metallica, Mastodon, GreenDay), the hypnotically mind-trippy “Hollow” captures a man closed off and losing himself in an empty repetition of daily tasks until his last thread with reality is completely severed. The video can be seen at http://vevo.ly/U7WPDg and the song, which hit the top 10 on the iTunes Rock Chart, is available at http://t.co/HE12JnVT.
The video follows the recent release of a “Hollow” lyric clip that was created by fans and comprised of images submitted through Instagram.
Set for a spring 2013 release, Alice In Chains’ upcoming album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Nick Raskulinecz (FooFighters, Deftones), who also produced the band’s hugely successful 2009 release BLACK GIVES WAY TO BLUE. That album entered Billboard‘s Top 200 at No. 5, sold over one million copies, spawned two No. 1 hit singles (“Check My Brain” and “Your Decision”) and a third (“Lesson Learned”) that went top 10, earned two Grammy nominations and saw the band (vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell, vocalist/guitarist William DuVall, drummer Sean Kinney and bassist Mike Inez) headlining a sold-out international tour that wrapped at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
In a recent interview with Guitar World, Cantrell said, “In my opinion, that record stood up to anything else we’ve put out in our career. Hopefully, the new album will connect with people in the same way.”

You can also check out the band’s videos “Bullets In The Sky”, “Blow Me Away”, “Livin In The City” and “The Last Icon”.
We are not sure what to make of the band A Life Divided. The band describes themselves as metal/gothic/electro. We wouldn’t call this hard rock, and it definitely is not metal, and yet, we like this song.
Check out the song “The Last Dance” and let us know what you think.
A Life Divided’s new album will be released January 18th.

Hard rock band THE CRINGE released their new video for “Deep Girl,” on VEVO which comes off of the band’s recently released record, Hiding In Plain Sight.
THE CRINGE hit the studio to record the self-produced album with renowned engineer Steve Hardy (Vertical Horizon) and recruited Hardy and Jon Kaplan (Augustana, Parachute) to mix the band’s latest full-length and fourth overall. Fronted by singer/guitarist John Cusimano, the band emits a powerful rock n’ roll energy that draws parallels to contemporaries like Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, and Queens Of The Stone Age. The lineup is rounded out by drummer Shawn Pelton (Saturday Night Live Band, Bruce Springsteen), guitarist James Rotondi (ex-Air, Mr. Bungle), and bassist Jonny Matias (ex-Crash Moderns).
THE NEW YORK DOLLS, THE HOLD STEADY, THE BRAVERY, and FUEL are just some of the bands that have taken THE CRINGE out on tour over the group’s 8 year career.
The band recently performed a short string of dates with TRAPT.

One of the best Swedish Metal band has returned with another fabulous album and I couldn’t be more excited. If you haven’t checked out Bullet yet, this is definitely the time to get to know the band. Full Pull is the fourth album from the Swedish hard rockers and it could be their best album yet.
Hitting with the power of a freight train at full speed, Bullet once again delivers the hard rocking antics on Full Pull. The signature stomp and wail musical style is present and accounted for. The hard rocking, metal madness is all there. And Hell Hofer’s scratchy, screaming vocals are still intact. Hell Hofer has such a unique voice that it is hard for any description to do it justice. Some would categorize it as a voice that you either love or hate, but I don’t think that is 100 percent accurate. Either way, I love Hell’s voice and I feel that it is the perfect accompaniment to Bullet’s fast paced hard rock.
The three-pack of potential hits, “Midnight Oil,” “Full Pull,” and “Running Away,” get Full Pull started with a bang. The songs feature heavy guitar work led by Hampus Klang and complimented beautifully by Erik Almstrom. The guitar playing on Full Pull makes me want to be a teenager again, so that I can perform air guitar in front of my mirror for hours on end. Almstrom and Klang may not get the recognition of a Malmsteen, or a Bettencourt, but they are just as talented, and Full Pull helps prove that. Hofer’s vocals are in fine form and by the time “Running Away” shows up on the player, long time fans will be hooked once again. Hofer’s distinctive style continues to mesmerize.
Full Pull does find Bullet slightly altering their style and direction. While their previous albums have been a lot of “more of the same” (in a very good way), Full Pull finds the band slowing the tempo down at times. I wasn’t sure if that was so old fans could keep up, or an attempt to lure new fans into the fold. Full Pull finds Bullet leaning away from the thrash slightly and creeping toward the mainstream. And while there isn’t a ballad present on Full Pull, I worry that the band may be closer than ever to writing one. That would be a shame, because Bullet is truly about raw power and hard hitting rock and roll. Leave the ballads to the hair metal bands. Please.
Overall, Bullet have delivered another fantastic gem of a record that will have feet stomping, hands clapping, and fans cheering in no time. Bullet has never disappointed with a record release and they continue to follow that trend with Full Pull. If you haven’t taken the time to seek out Bullet, Full Pull is a great album to get you invested in the band. Any true metal music lover will find nothing but redeeming qualities when listening to Full Pull.

Decatur, Illinois band Icon For Hire has just released a new video “Off With Her Head” which comes from the band’s 2011 debut Scripted. The group spent two days in Compton, CA (South Los Angeles) working with some of the hottest underground artists to create an otherworldly interpretation of the song. Frontwoman and fashion designer Ariel said recently, “We are pushing the boundaries, creatively and visually, to create a fashion-forward work that we can’t wait to share with our fans.”
The band caught the attention of Tooth & Nail Records in 2009 and signed later that year. The group then released, Scripted, in 2011 which shattered first week sales becoming the highest new artist debut in Tooth & Nail’s history.
Is this song Pop? It is it Hard Rock? Is it something in between? Icon For Hire kind of reminds me of My Darkest Days in the sense that the band’s music is hard to label.
Check out the band’s latest clip “Off With Her Head” and decide with your vote if this song and video should SINK or SWIM!
Flyleaf has just unleashed the official video for their second single “Call You Out,” off their recently released new album New Horizons, their last with long time singer Lacey Sturm. The animated video follows an angry bear destined to destroy the smaller animals towns, only to find himself faced with the masses. The video was directed by Brad Scott who has this to say about the band and creating the video:
“Our team has been a fan of Flyleaf since the very beginning, so working on a music video for the album ‘New Horizons’ was a great honor. Flyleaf’s new song ‘Call You Out’ is about the power of truth rising against evil. We aligned our characters with a cast of animals who were pitted against the ultimate antagonist in a forest. Through this, the video became the ultimate musical fable; light versus dark, and the triumph of good versus evil. Using live-action and animation we decided to limit our style to a monochromatic tone, with a dark and stormy vibe. I feel that Flyleaf fans all around will love this video, and we’re really excited for the premiere.”
Are you ready for Alpha Tiger? This German metal band is bringing it to you old school with their new video “From Outer Space”. This song is from the band’s up and coming album, Beneath The Surface, due out January 28th, 2013!

Just in time for the start of the Swiss tour and on the last part of their successful “Firebirth” world tour 2012, GOTTHARD heats things up with “Give Me Real” their new fan video!
What usually requires long days of shooting with countless takes was made in Chile in an afternoon “First Take.” The result is pure emotion! Like hardly any other clip it captures the magic between the band, fans and live performance.
The video was shot spontaneously at the start of the Tour during the sound check. It was only the second show with singer Nic Maeder and is the fastest video shoot of the band’s history. The director from South America only needed one run-through. The film was shot in Chile, home of creative TV talent. In addition to the band, two known South American actors can be seen, the only 25-year-old Leon Bravo and the 24-year- old Paula Pardo.
“We were immediately enthusiastic about the idea when the director came up with the idea of making the clip on tour in Chile” says bassist Marc Lynn. “We were all curious to shoot in South America and to work with a local team. Also the fact that we were on tour and did not have two whole days as usual for a video shoot but only a few hours in the afternoon, was an exciting challenge. We got to know a lot from the people there and their sweeping, spirited way of working.”
I have been listening to Aerosmith’s Music From Another Dimension for a couple of weeks now. I was hoping that my initial opinion of this release would change with a few repeat listens. My opinion hasn’t changed at all. Music From Another Dimension is just average.
Quite frankly, I didn’t have high hopes for Aerosmith’s latest effort. With there being so much infighting in the band, and Steven Tyler’s stint on American Idol, I was doubtful that the band, in its current state of health
could deliver an album worthy of the Aerosmith name.
After listening to the CD several times, my thoughts are this: Music From Another Dimension suffers from too many ballads, too many tracks, and an overall cohesive feel. Sure there are some good songs, but nothing that will probably overwhelm you, and say OOOOOH, I have to run out and buy the new Aerosmith album. If you are an Aerosmith fan, chances are you probably have this in your collection already anyway.
On a positive note, the band has brought in Jack Douglas to produce the album, and the overall production is very good.
The album starts off strong enough, but about midway through it starts to taper off, and suffers from far too many ballads.
The opening track “Luv XXX” sounds like a classic Aerosmith track, and that is great, but the lyrics are just stupid. The song does grow on you though.
“Oh Yeah” sounds like it could have been on Get A Grip. This is a pretty catchy, yet simple tune.
“Beautiful” could possibly be a hit for Aerosmith, but time will tell on this one. The jangly guitars give this song a feel more akin to Aerosmith’s later material, but I am a fan of all eras of Aerosmith so that isn’t a problem for me.
“Out Go The Lights” might just have one of the best Aerosmith riffs in recent years, the problem with this song is the background singers. I think the background singers weaken the track with their vocal piece on the lyrics “If You Want to Take A Lookie, Cookie Tonight Might Be Your Lucky, Nighty Nite Nite”. I think it could have been a stronger song without this. The song seems to go on forever too. It is about two minutes longer than it needs to be. This song could have been one of Aerosmith’s biggest hits, but it is overall a let down.
“Legendary Child” was the first single from the album, and this song is actually pretty good. I think this song could have easily been on Pump, but the song is a leftover demo from “Get A Grip”. I am glad they decided to use this song. I like this one pretty well.
“What Could Have Been Love” is the first sappy Aerosmith ballad, and this song will likely be a COUNTRY hit for Aerosmith. One word defines my opinion of this song, “BLECH”!!!. I skip this song every time. (You can check it out in the video below).
Every time I listen to “Street Jesus” I start thinking “Sweet Emotion”. I guess it is the vocal part on the chorus that is similar between the “Street” and “Sweet”.
I like this song a lot, even if it does somewhat borrow from one of Aerosmith’s biggest hits.
“Can’t Stop Lovin’ You” features a duet with Country superstar Carrie Underwood. I have to question Aerosmith’s sanity on this one. Are they looking to recreate some magic, the way they did with RUN DMC in the 80′s? If you wanted to gain a bunch of new country fans, bringing in Carrie Underwood is probably a great idea, but not so much for the rock crowd. I don’t have any problems with Carrie Underwood. She is a hell of a singer. It just seems odd to have a country singer on an Aerosmith album. Oddly enough, this song has less of a country feel than “What Could Have Been Love”. I think this song would have been better suited on a Steven Tyler solo album, than an Aerosmith album, but that is just me.
After a few non-Aerosmtih sounding tracks, we finally get another rocker with “Lover Alot”. This one is pretty catchy, and ought to translate well live.
Joe Perry handles the vocals on “Freedom Fighter”, and as much as I love Joe’s guitar work, I don’t care for his voice very much. The lyrics on this song are pretty good. It is a shame that Steven didn’t sing on this one. It could have been much better. The same goes for the song “Something”. I love the bluesy music on this song, but Joe’s voice just doesn’t do it for me.
The album closes with another sappy ballad “The Last Goodbye”. I think the album, could have been better served by ending with another rocker. It doesn’t and it ends on a weak note in my opinion.
The special edition from Music From Another Dimension includes three bonus tracks, “Up On The Mountain” (sung by Tom Hamilton), “Oasis In The Night” (Sung by Joe Perry) and “Sunny Side of Love” (Sung By Steven Tyler). “Sunny Side of Love” is the best song out of the three. It is a little more pop than rock, but it is still better than a few of the songs that made it on the main track listing of Music From Another Dimension.
Am I being too critical of Aerosmith? Perhaps! I just don’t believe the music from Music From Another Dimension is as good as past Aerosmith releases, and that is disappointing. This is the type of CD that I probably won’t reach for in my collection very often, but won’t turn it off if I hear it on the radio either.

Have you ever yearned to hear hard rock music that hits you so hard, your fist is in the air by the second song? If so, then Sister Sin’s Now And Forever is a record that you must listen to. Filled with nothing but hard rocking, pulse pounding, kick ass, hard rock music Now And Forever is a gem of an album.
Sweden has become a hot bed for some great glam metal over the last few years, and Sister Sin is one more addition to that list of awesome. Their latest album, Now And Forever, is another fabulous ride through some ripping glam metal.
Sister Sin has been making hard rocking music since 2002, and making it well. For their fourth album, the tradition of great, glam metal continues. The first single and one of the best tracks from Now And Forever is “End Of The Line.” Showing off all of Sister Sin’s strengths, “End Of The Line” is the song that will have listeners falling in love with the band. Fantastic guitars with great solos, a heavy, steady drum beat, and excellent vocals from lead singer, Liv Jagrell, make “End Of The Line” one of the greatest rock songs that I’ve heard in a while.
The hard hits just keep on coming after that. “Fight Song” delivers the goods with hard hitting drums courtesy of Dave Sundberg, and some excellent guitar work via Jimmy Hitula. And anytime a song starts with a big loud “Fuck You!” from a vixen of a lead singer, well, you can consider me hooked. And the good news is that “Fight Song” has more than just a cool intro. It has balls that last throughout the entire track.
“In It For Life” picks up right where “Fight Song” left off. More loud, hard rocking guitars, devious drum beats, exceptional bass lines from Strandh, and being told to kiss Liv Jagrell’s ass in the first thirty
seconds. Sounds like something I’m going to jam out with for a long time. And with the incredible raw power that is captured on “In It For Life,” I’ll be hitting my repeat button quite a few times.
Every other song on the record follows this same pattern. That’s the greatest thing about Now And Forever — the raw power that it packs. After one listen to this disc if you aren’t rocking out harder than
ever before, well, you may not be a metal head. Sister Sin is the real deal and Now And Forever is their strongest effort yet. The guitar solos are well thought out and perfectly placed with some amazing finger
picking by Hitula. He is a great guitarist and if Sister Sin gets the recognition that they deserve, Hitula will be mentioned in the same paragraphs as some of the greats of our time. Add in the amazing ability of Liv
Jagrell to front the band and you’ve got a deadly combination waiting to explode.
If you haven’t checked out Sister Sin yet, this is the perfect album to get to know them. Now And Forever will leave you hooked and wanting to hear more. The great news about that is that there is plenty of
back catalog to pick up after you’ve worn out your copy of Now And Forever. You can pick up a copy of Now And Forever at this link!

When former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler comes back from the dead, he means it. When Adler’s new CD hits the stores on 11/27, prepare to be BLOWN AWAY! Back From The Dead is packed with great songs, and some killer guest appearances from John 5, Slash and Jeff Pilson. I have been looking forward to Adler’s solo debut for quite some time, but I didn’t expect it to be THIS good.
I had high hopes for this album after hearing “The One That You Hated” a few months ago. Back From The Dead does not disappoint one bit!
Jeff Pilson produced the album with Adler, and also handles all of the bass work on the CD. When you have a rhythm section that is Steven Adler and Jeff Pilson, can you really do wrong?
Steven Adler scored big when he got Lynam’s Jacob Bunton to join his band. No only does Bunton handle the vocals for Adler, but is also the lead song writer. Bunton has written a bunch of quality songs, and delivers what could be the vocal performance of his career.
The opening song “Back From The Dead” almost has a Cinderella like opening, but once this song kicks into gear, it is a take no prisoners, head-banging tune.
“Own Worst Enemy”, “Another Version of The Truth” and “The One That You Hated” are three more killer tracks stacked up back to back.
I was excited to learn that John 5 is one of the guest guitarists on Back From The Dead. If you are familiar with John 5, then you will recognize his playing on “Good To Be Bad”. His guitar work is amazing on this song!
I figured that “Just Don’t Ask featuring Slash would be a real ripping track, and I was very wrong about that one. This is a slower track, but Slash’s fretwork shines. This is a great song!
“Blown Away” is a real rocker that ought to be a radio single for Adler. This song is going to take the world by storm.
“Your Diamonds” has a 70′s classic rock feel, while the album closer “Dead Wrong” has a more of a modern feel to it.
Back From The Dead is easily one of the biggest surprises, and strongest albums of 2012. I love this album, and I think you will too! Don’t miss this!

Teen rock sensation Cherri Bomb has released a new video “Too Many Faces”. The video clip was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Lisa Mann (Apocalyptica, The Used).
“Too Many Faces” is the first single from Cherri Bomb’s full-length debut album, THIS IS THE END OF CONTROL, the disc Revolver Magazine called “a defiant blast of teenage rebellion that suggests a cross between Halestorm and the Foo Fighters.”
Though the girls’ ages range from 14 to 16, their album is the product of years of work. It begins with guitarist/vocalist Julia Pierce, who found her musical calling when she was very young. Her talent was undeniable, and her commitment was so unwavering that her parents were persuaded to uproot the family and move from New Jersey to Los Angeles – where they believed that she would have more opportunities to pursue her music. “When I got an electric guitar,” she says, “I realized that I wanted and needed to start my own band. I posted ads online and in local music shops around LA, looking for girl musicians my own age who were as passionate about music as I was. At the time it was hard to find girls my age who could even play instruments.”
Once the lineup was solidified (Nia Lovelis on drums, Miranda Miller on guitar and keys, Rena Lovelis on bass), the quartet hit the ground running. Over the course of the past two years, Cherri Bomb opened for a Foo Fighters’ arena show in Germany, performed at all the major European festivals, including Reading, Leeds, Rock En Seine, Oxegen, Highfields and Lowlands, and tore up Australia’s Soundwave festival. They’ve also shared stages with Bush, Staind, Lostprophets, Buckcherry and performed on this year’s Warped Tour. The all-girl rock band from Los Angeles not only held their own, but they won new believers at every stop.
Debut album THIS IS THE END OF CONTROL was released earlier this year. The album includes notable tracks such as “Raw. Real,” “Let It Go,” and “Shake the Ground,” which was also featured on Marvel’s AVENGERS ASSEMBLE movie-inspired soundtrack.
Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of the BUTCHER BABIES to their worldwide family of artists. Hailing from Los Angeles, the BUTCHER BABIES have emerged as one of the biggest draws on the Sunset Strip, their incendiary blend of heavy metal and horror-inspired theatrics inciting crowds worldwide.
Fronted by Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd – named two of the year’s ‘Hottest Women In Rock’ by Revolver Magazine – the blood-splattered band left their mark on the United Kingdom in June, appearing on the Download festival and supporting Anthrax in Cardiff. They returned to America as direct support for Otep in fall, and are wrapping up their first headlining tour tonight in front of a hometown crowd at the Roxy on the Sunset Strip. The band – vocalists Harvey and Shepherd, guitarist Henry Flury, bassist Jason Klein and drummer Chris Warner – will be performing with labelmates In This Moment tomorrow night in Las Vegas.
“Century Media has been a huge supporter of BUTCHER BABIES for a long time, and it feels natural to join their tight knit family,” said the band of their signing. “It’s an honor for us to be on a roster amongst many other bands that have inspired us for so long. We couldn’t be more excited about the future of this union.”
The Butcher Babies’ track “Axe Wound” is currently in rotation on Sirius XM Liquid Metal, and their short movie/video fo the track “Mr. Slowdeath” can be watched here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YttVe6v31Yk.
The band are currently at work on their full-length debut, which is slated for worldwide release in summer 2013 via Century Media Records.
11/19/12 – Hollywood, CA @ The Roxy
11/20/12 – Las Vegas, NV @ Vinyl (with In This Moment)

Helsinki vampire rock outfit, The 69 Eyes, has posted its latest music video for the song, “Borderline,” on YouTube. Check out the video, shot in New Orleans, La. with acclaimed producer, Patric Ullaeus.
The video starts with a scene in which the local vampire tour legend Lord Chaz draws five X’s on the crypt door of the Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau’s resting place in Saint Louis Cemetery #1. “Easy Rider’s” famous psychedelic scene was also filmed there.
Commented lead vampire Jyrki9, “It’s like our ‘Love Me Tender’ – a soft, timeless ballad. But it also has that dark, mystic Southern vibe (some said ‘True Blood’), so naturally we had to go to Louisiana to shoot the video! Mark Twain’s books, Elvis, ‘King Creole,’ ‘Easy Rider,’ blues, jazz, voodoo, vampires – so many reasons for The 69 Eyes go to N’awlins. We’ve played there twice; I’ve hosted two DJ club nights there called “Fangtasia” over the last two summers. The leading rock/metal video director of these latter days, Swedish Patric Ullaeus was also interested in coming to NOLA to make this masterpiece, so all was set for it! The mid-October was perfect for a long-lost weekend in the South.”
“Borderline” appears on the band’s 10th studio album, X, which hit stores last month via Nuclear Blast Records.
Fans can order the new album online via iTunes at: http://bit.ly/69xitun, complete with the bonus track “Rosary Blue” featuring Kat Von D, the “Red” music video plus digital booklet. Physical copies of X can be ordered via the Nuclear Blast web-store at: http://bit.ly/69eyesxlp.
