Swedish Rockers Babylon Bombs have posted the following this afternoon:
Less than a week after Vains of Jenna dropped the bombshell that Lizzy Devine left the band, the Babylon Bombs have posted some news of their own.
Babylon Bombs lead singer and guitarist Dani is tired of touring and the music business. It’s a thing that has grown stronger the last year and he feels that he wants to focus 100% on his family. After a good talk in January we decided to put things on hold. Dani told us how he felt and that he wanted a break. It was of course tough news for the band. A break for us would mean no touring and making music so after months of difficult decisions and discussions we feel that we want to move on with a new front man. We will miss Dani and his great skills, but we have to respect that he wants to move on and we believe that he will respect us for what we stand for.
In the end we’re just a Rock ‘n Roll band and we’re longing to be out there on the road!
The band will make their last performance with Dani in Stockholm on April 10 at the Crazy Nights Rock Festival in Stockholm.
…. and about the new front man, we found him right here in Stockholm, more about that later…..!
See you out there….
Babylon Bomb’s new album, Babylon’s Burning will be released on October 23rd. It is now streaming on MySpace. Check it out at this link!

We’ve got a little bit of everything on tap for Hard Rock Nights tonight…new stuff from Extreme, Whitesnake, and Krokus…unheard of bands like Overloaded, M.O.B, and Armory…and some rare stuff as well. We’ve got a couple of songs that are only available online at the moment, Lynam’s “A Lifetime Ain’t Enough” and Babylon Bombs’ “Goodbye Good Luck.” We’re also going to check out an Ozzy track that was only available on the Japanese version of Black Rain. And of course, we’ll play some classics from bands like Van Halen, Mötley Crüe, and Poison. Don’t miss it!
Hard Rock Nights is broadcast every Saturday night from 9-11 pm eastern on classxradio.com. Check out the official HRN blog for playlists, articles, and a new interview with guitar wiz Erik Kluiber from Overloaded!
Thanks to Locomotive Records, the excellent Babylon Bombs Release, Doin’ You Nasty has been released in the United States. If you liked the music, but didn’t want to pay the high import prices, now you don’t have to. You can secure your own cop of Doin’ You Nasty through Amazon.com.
You can check out the songs, Hometown Hero, and Jaded Heart below.
This CD has a couple of tracks that should be modest hits for the band. The songs Jaded Heart and Hometown Hero are the closest things I have heard to Pop metal in 2007. Both tracks are equally enjoyable.
Louder has more of a punk feel to it, but is a very solid track. Crack of Dawn is a song that seems extremely familiar to me, but I can’t seem to get into it. Something about it reminds me of Faster Pussycat, but the chorus just didn’t do it for me on this tune.
Let It Loose is a well needed tune at this point in the record. It is a catchy tune that gets into your head and doesn’t let go. Slip Away is a slower number, that has a CC Deville like solo in the center of it. It isn’t a perfect song, but it is growing on me.
Starstruck is a sleazy rocker with a killer beat. It is a cool tune that will get your blood pumping. Drop The Bomb keeps the pace of the album going with another good catchy rocker.
Gotta Move On is an up tempo sleazy feast for your ears. This tune is in the vein of Slash era Guns ‘N Roses. Killer Tune! Proud is a slower tune that has a cool 70’s glam vibe to it.
White Trash Beauty kicks it back in gear with another good G ‘N R style tune. Doin’ You Nasty is closed out with another rocking tune called Moonshine Beauty. Party rock doesn’t get much better than this.
The more I listen to Doin’ You Nasty, the more I enjoy it. All that is stopping this disc from exploding in the United States is a better distribution deal. The only online store that I have found that carries this at non import prices is Impulse Music.com. 80’s hard rock fans are going to dig this record. Don’t miss out on one of the better glam CD’s released within the last couple of years! You can check out the Babylon Bombs at this link!
